I just watched it, this film was absolutely astonishing both animation and storytelling wise! The Red beast reminded me a lot of a mix between toothless and the Alpha's personality (from HTTYD 2) but it was absolutely beautiful, must watch you guys!!

Yes! This was a great movie, but typical ending :). I kinda saw it coming when I was wondering to myself why The Red Beast looked kind-of cute like Toothless from How To Train Your Dragon lol. Still a great movie though!

I'm a huge monster/kaiju fan , so after one of my friends told me about this I wasn't sure at first because it looked childish but after watching it I'd give it a solid 8/10 , the animation and story was executed so well.

Eeeeeeeh, animation I agree 100% but I’d rate the story a 6/10 personally. The first half was a banger, then after the island arc, it took a nose dive imo.
Ok, I am honestly a little impressed with this.
This feels so much like a little rewrite of the first How To Train Your Dragon movie…but it also has the same feel of…originality.
I am also impressed with the animation.
I much prefer how in this the monsters are more respectable than the dragons who were domesticated way too easily especially in the later movies, here it feels like you should respect their intelligence and individuality more, as well as the obvious size and power.
The bond with red is more like only appealing to her altruism as they are animals that generally have nothing to loose and more to gain in such a cooperation.
@Zeffo my only question for you is why are you calling the sea beast dragons I see where your coming from but still let’s respect that there aquatic monsters the are mostly different from dragon
@Zeffo True. The HTTYD Dragons designs had scales and texture. Here, a majority of them are smooth(the most obvious case of this is Red herself).
@@stevele4877 To be fair a lot of marine mammals are smooth like rubber it is basic hydrodynamics and I feel this is most obvious in comparing her and the yellow tusked ones on the island with the akgnaktor/seahorse looking fella with tentacles.
Though it would have been cool to give her more spots or patterns. More like a seal's so she doesnt look like playdough

I was in proper tears in the end when she said *LET IT END!* 😭 😢 😩 didn't expect to be crying and throughly enjoyed this movie. A must watch. 👌
Next to “Klaus”, this is absolutely Netflix’s GREATEST animated movie ever.

I first watched this movie yesterday. And as soon as I saw the face of the Red Bluster. I also said that her Face looks similar to Toothless's. She's absolutely beautiful but also very intimidating at the same time. A truly amazing movie

This is my absolutely first time seeing this clip amd just learning about the film. Like idk anything else other this clip and my honest opinion is that even though the design for these kaijus are basic and simple the animation and clear love for the fight scene is so amazing that it completely makes up for it and more. Just wow

Yeah we need to see the other creatures that were on the map if you pause at the first second of this clip. It gives a decent size comparison and it looks like red buster and the crab are some of the smaller creatures on their.

I’m alright if there is a character of color in here you know why because the movie isn’t about an agenda instead they focus on the story which harkens back to animated films in the 90s we need more of this not buzz light year
Yeah, I felt the same. So many films nowadays include people of colour in such a forced and “on the nose” way. Like as if they want us to applaud them for doing it, like come on. Whereas here, my favourite characters was Maisie, not because of her skin colour but because she was written really well.
I just watched it and holy crisht!!!, It's much better than what I thought it would be!, Almost not childish at all, ( which makes it have that Dreamworks' movie feel to it ), and a simple yet very originally done story, the characters besides some of them with little screen time are pretty memorable, and DO have big roles in the movie, the whole European vibes to it, besides the monster's island is also really suitable for the whole sea monster's theme
Definitely solid 8/10

That "Red Beotodus" could actually be a sea dwelling Elder Dragon. Similar to the Ceadeus and Goldbeard Ceadeus
