A very hectic, sad, emotional day just couldn’t leave a lot of parts out. This is was happened on this day through my perspective. This is what happened at the Final Bay Bridge Series Game to ever be played.

Gabe, I was thinking about the A's on my drive into work here in Houston and I'm really thankful that you've been documenting this, not just for baseball fans to day but for people in the future. This is what real, true, diehard fans are going through and I look at your page as a sort of record and document of something very important to culture from a very real sociological perspective. I wouldn't be surprised if 20, 30, 40 years from not this record you're keeping will be looked back upon as part of some larger documentary or even celebrated for it's heart and character on it's own. You and the Oakland faithful don't deserve any of this and I think you're helping show what could happen to other fan bases across the country. This is a long way to simply say, thanks from Houston. Bless all y'all out there in The Town. PS- I came out to the Colosseum back in May to see the Astros and pay my respects and everyone was so kind and welcoming. Great park too.

It’s very sad to lose the Battle of The Bay. I always enjoy the local rivalries like this one, Freeway Series, Show Me Series, Crosstown Classic, Subway Series, Battle of the Beltway, Subway Series, Ohio Cup, and Citrus Series. The Battle of The Bay was definitely one of my favorites and it hurts to see it go. Thanks for documenting it the last few years so us fans on the east coast can also experience it as well! FJF!

I bleed blue, but I am so sad about all this in Oakland. It won't be the same. I still can't wrap my head around Vegas having all these teams. It's just off! I have many memories as a child watching the old A's teams from the 80s and 90s. I wish vegas would change the name, and Oakland could get a team down the line and rebirth the A's. Kind of like what the Cleveland Browns did. Wishful thinking I guess, but hoping for the best. Thanks for the good content.
BTW. You have the sweetest GF. I was at a game against the Astro's in the 113 Lounge. I saw her at the game used section. She had only nice things to say about you to her friends. You are a lucky dude.

I've never been to the Battle of the Bay game. I wish I could have gone to one. Hopefully, I'll be going to my 3rd A's game this coming Sunday. I'm taking my sister and my brother-in-law. They have never been to the Coliseum. I just ordered an Oakland A's away grey jersey. Hopefully, I will get it in time so I can wear it on Sunday if not I will wear it for September 26th.
It was also emotional for Chapman, Melvin, and Canha. Glad I got a Chapman Giants jersey and I will wear it in his honor for next season with the Giants! I should probably get a Canha jersey too.
Hopefully they're both back with the Giants next year

@@oaklandish-metalboy1194 As a Giants fan, I would be cool with that, but knowing Farhan, he would whiff on these guys if they were free agents or make excuses as to why the Giants lost out, or blame SF again. I can't stand Farhan.
But yes, all things being equal, yes, it would be great to see those guys back in the Bay again, and in Giants uniforms!

I was at this game, it’s more about a rivalry it’s about what we are losing as a giants fan. I grew up here, it’s all about the memories, and I have my bobble head to a A’s fan her first game in Oakland
I was at the game! I sat with my Dad and some friends in right field. I am a Giants fan and I really wish your ownership wakes up and realize what we are losing after this season. Giants and A’s games won’t be the same.
But I am so glad I went to the Coliseum for one last time! The stadium has been around long enough to contain so much history and I still hope the team can remain local I don’t want them to move to Vegas period.
I feel very heavy coming from a Arizona coyotes fan having a team ripped from you is not a good feeling … it still hurts the cut and won’t be heal soon

In the end, it's the fans who stuck through all 56 years of the Athletics era in Oakland that are suffering the most.
It shouldn't came down to this.
Had the A's ownership after Walter A. Haas died in 1995 and the City of Oakland and Alameda County governments planned a baseball-specific building that is ready to go before the turn of the century especially when the late, great NFL renegade Al Davis decided to move the Raiders back to Oakland from Los Angeles, whether it's in Jack London Square, Howard Terminal, Fremont, Union City, Hayward, or Dublin, this wouldn't happen.

I went to many bay bridge series games throughout my life with my friends, both A's and Giants fans. I am sad I missed the last one. FJF. Billionaires are horrible people for the most part. They ruin so many things for society. I'll see you at the final game at the colesium.

That is the sad losing that rivalry series forever don’t feel too bad even Modesto is losing their minor-league baseball team at the end of the season it just seems like baseball is not being fun no more I just feel bad for both teams we’re not gonna have that rivalry series no more are you a little sad because it’s the last game of the series yesterday and the last time they’ll play as battle of the Bay series
