Thank you for this video! The headset wasn't working, sometimes it work briefly but the microphone was dead. I did exactly like you, every step, and it's working perfectly. 👍👏
Thank you for your video. Just followed every step and now my son’s headphones are once again working. Not sure who was more shocked me or him. I’m not a technical person 😂
If you have problems with your touch screen after replacing the game slot modul: You can see in this video (ruclips.net/video/K_AWvhCqKRI/видео.html ) at 03:00 that the wide, flat cable on the side is the connector for the touch screen (only touch function, not the display at all). So maybe your modul is not installed correctly or broken
no need to be scared just take it slow and steady follow every step in the video don't be scared to be slower than the video and just rewind it doesn't matter if you cant keep up what matters is that you do it right
It might be worth trying this with your existing game card reader/headphone Jack. It may be that one of the connections came undone instead of having a faulty part. You might save $60
This 👆🏻 Switch aux port wasn’t working, it ended up being a loose connection. If your switch has been dropped before and is having problems with the aux port, I suggest checking the connection before buying the part.
I fixed my Joycons but wanted to see how a switch looks inside before I replace the aux. I have a interface and me dumdass forgot to turn off the phantom power.. I tried to record the output and yeah.. Thank you so much for this video
Hi, I just have a question. Where can I find headphone jacks? Because my nintendo switch can hear, but I can't talk in any game, and when I wear it, what people hear is LOUD STATIC. But when i plug it in my phone its all good, and in a ps4. Where can I find one? Thanks
We just replaced this and now we can hear on both headphones but now our switch can't find our SD card. I've powered off and put in and out and still nothing. Any suggestions?
my problem is that when i plug in headphones i hear everything i just can’t talk with every mic i try the mic dosnt work and it worked completely fine before
That’s exactly the same problem I have! I even ended up buying wired controller with audio jack everything was working fine till few weeks ago same problem I can hear everyone my game chat not working I tried new mic still not working
Great video, just have a question. My son broke his headphone cable inside of it, I can get the aux piece out, if I followed your steps would I be able to remove the piece that’s broken Inside or will I have to just order the part you just installed. Thanks in advance
If I understand your questions, the headphone jack is soldered in so I think replacing the whole part is easiest unless you know how to unsolder that jack with a soldering gun.
I have a weird issue, don't know if it is the cardreader or something on the mainboard. All games I use get the message that they can't be read and I should re-insert them except for one. The games all work (I tested them with my Switch Lite), two of them were basically new. One game loads fine, installs, goes for updates and can be played. I've switched the game port pcb over from another broken Switch, with the same result. Not sure though if the replacement port is any good, it might be bad aswell. The games I've tested were Pokemon Let's Go (new, never before used), Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart, Harry Potter (like new) and Gianna Sisters. Gianna Sisters is the only game that works. What do you guys think, is it worth getting another card reader for around 40 Euros off ebay to test it or is it a lost cause?
does the flex cable need to be snapped in to be functional or just inserted in. I was replacing my nintendo switch lite's right analog due to the infamous "drift" and in the process, as i was lifting the panel to remove the flex cord in the way the panel chipped off not being able to fasten the flex cable linked to the card reader chip. So when i started up my switch the headphone jack is not working which caused me to think i may have needed that panel to fasten the flex cable and not only just insert it. If that is the case then I am going to have to buy a replacement card reader for my lite.
Dont know bout you guys but for me if I move it to a angel i can only hear it from one side and if I change it to a difrent angel it works on both IDK what to do can you help or make a video about it plz
I just bought another pair of headphones for nothing because I thought that was the problem lol this will be my next solution. I need to talk to people on Fortnite haha
When I plug in my headphones it feels loose and it won’t you took the headphones and I can talk to people when I push it down in the switch but I can’t hear or and my friends got discord so they can talk to me but I still wanna talk to other people but yeah I’m scared to let my mom do this XD
@@FernandoC Just ordered with a tool set as well. Seems like it'll be a fun little project. Nintendo repair support refused to help me. They stated audio is coming through the headset so they would not replace the part, as it is working as intended (since the switch "doesn't support microphone use"). The mic has been working for months, only recently quit. Even with the new headset it isn't working, because the 7 year old is careless with the port.
Thank you for this video!

Thank you.. SO MUCH!! My switch refused to read ANY cartridges for about 6 months. Now it's back to normal!!
Thanks to you I was able to fix my 9 year old's switch. Thank you for doing this, much appreciated! You are a hero.
Thank you for your video. Just followed every step and now my son’s headphones are once again working. Not sure who was more shocked me or him. I’m not a technical person 😂
Needed to replace it because game card reader wasn't working. Worked. Thanks for the guide.

Was worried about doing it myself. Your video was spot on and I managed it. Much appreciated brother 🙌👍
I plug my headphones in and the aux on the Nintendo doesent detect it

Thanks! My gamecard port was broken and you helped me fix it!

You should've put new thermal paste on that heat pipe.
He didn’t have to bc none was taken off and the paste wasn’t dry or old.
Can you do a video with what your go to tools are for repairs like these? Thanks!

Just did this and it worked great. 1st time trying something like this. Thanks

Finally I have found someone with the same problem as me

Thanks for the helpful video. I was able to follow along and fix my daughter's Switch. :)

Just fixed mine following this video. Thank you!
cheers mate worked like a charm a very happy son :D
Mine broke too, but instead of scratchy noise, only one earphone works, and the mic doesn't work. Only when you bend the audio jack they all work.
Did you use this video to fix yours? I’m having the same problem
I'm having the exact same issue. Gonna try this!
@@jessmarie1026did it fix it?
Easy to follow and informational 👍
Can you replaced just the Audo jack without doing the card holder and everything
Did you find the answer to this?
Yes you can but will need to solder the part to the green board
Big THX from my son for this good Tutorial to Repair The Switch :)

My mic import just broke and this video helps
Great help,All fixed thanks to you taking the time to post.👍
I have a problem with my switch when I plug the headphones in it doesn’t detect them so when it’s plugged in I hear sound from the system itself
Same it’s so annoying. I think it’s cos I have plugged and unplugged my headphones so many times something might’ve worn away.
me too
The only issue i have now is the game port. It wasnt reading my physical game. My favorite Breath of the wild.

My headphone jack is short or my headphones dont fit fully, and i dont know if i should push it harder cause i just got it
What is the name and part number to order on Ebay? Thank you
Wr do I buy the replacement port for Nintendo switch and what is it called ??
my switch says that headpones are connected but none are connected and no audio comes out

Could you share a link to buy the screwdrivers you use? Thanks
The part might come with the screwdriver, but if not, here is a link amzn.to/3Lojoo1
Thanks mate. Helped me!

Not sure how the lite works. This one snaps in like a Lego piece. most ribbons flex cables slide in but have a locking mechanism by turning something.
Made repair...works good

That’s what happened to me that’s why I replaced it
I had to put a rock on the headphone jack to make it go at the angle before
It was so annoying
If it’s not working after you replaced it that means you broke your headphones by bending it before
I had by new headphones as well as the new headphone jack
So I got piece of an audio cable plate stuck in it is there anyway to just get it out??
Can you use tweezers to get it out?
Yo dude my mic isn't working but like the mic works it's just my switch that's acting up...so do I still do this
for me the mic doesnt work at all and when i connect it to my switch i cant hear anything i have to slightly bend the headphone cable so i can hear...
I would think it's the same thing, but not sure.
What are your tools
These are the tools ruclips.net/video/SKvQX9M6iCU/видео.html
One of the reviews on Amazon for the replacement part said to order k5 pro thermal paste as well. Is it necessary?
Probably not absolutely necessary cuz there is some already in there, but it does help if you want to make sure heat is being dispersed well.
@@FernandoC oh, thank you so much! I bought some just to be safe lol
Where do we purchase the part?
I got it at Ifixit.com and it came with the screw drivers for $60ish

I just order mine and it paid 20dlls eBay and it came with tools
Thanks!
Is the game card reader the same part in both the Switch and the Switch Lite?
I would doubt it's the same one but I really don't know
On eBay they are selling just the Jack on its own.Can you just replace the headphone jack or does that whole piece have to be bought and replaced?
I believe you need to solder it on if you only buy the jack, but I'm not 100% sure now.
Yea i went with the whole part. I just have it in. Need to reassemble it now see if it works. Fingers crossed. Great video by the way.
Would you work on my switch?
My problem is the audio jack is so messed up ( Because me) thats I cant hear anything
Same. When I plug in headphones it doesn’t detect them and just plays out loud
If I can hear the game and my friends, but I can’t talk, will this work?
Yes
do i need to get one with a headphone jack i mean i don't even know if i will use it so like can i just reuse my wokring one
the game card reader and headphone jack come together, they are literally connected snd you can’t take them apart
Can you do this to my switch too
I have a problem when I put my headphones i put it into the switch I cant here from the left side i bought new headphones and just wasted money
I need help with this
Sounds like you might need to replace this part.
Ok
My son has the same problem that’s why I’m here. Thanks for the video😃
Where do u get the headphone jack from
You can search on Amazon for "switch headphone jack port"
What’s the screwdriver I put used
It's a triwing screwdriver. Search for Nintendo switch screwdriver
What’s the length
@@ctpmidget6389 I don't think it matters.
