I think many of you have missed the point of this video..lol As I mentioned, you can use carpro reload or any other sio2 sealant with this process. The video is about sio2 in general as a drying aid. Britemax makes a great sio2 spray sealant and it's economical for this process. I have tried this process with just about every sio2 spray sealant and the results are amazing:)
Hey Scott I love the videos you and Brian at apex are great..so i went into 3D in Orange County, CA to ask for some HD SPEED and the guy working the counter told me to use 3D 505 correcting glaze it's 3Ds newest all in one. It's part of their professional line.. he said it's much better than HD SPEED and i tried it and i love it. I think you might like it too. Thanks again for the great videos.. i have learned a lot from you and Brian at Apex detailing i take in all the shared knowledge..
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing This is off the topic of the video and you've probably covered it in past videos. But, how much do you charge for an engine bay detail?
I like that you keep all of us up do date on new products that you approve of using and using different ways/techniques that add efficiency. Time is money. Drive AA I know is a company close to you, you have built a relationship with them and you are exposing your findings of SOME of their products. I appreciate what you do ! JJ
Deluxe Vehicle Detailing and Paint Correction I see the guys at drive auto appearance when I go in and purchase products that I enjoy. I wish meguiars, sonax and jescar were in my home town as well
Yes, I'm a face to face person as well and when needed I pick up the phone and get to know the sales staff. I'm 54 and that's what I've done my whole life. I've held many successful sales positions in my lifetime. I own three businesses right now, so I'm a 24 hour a day salesman. I have a local detailer supply store near me. FLASH AUTO DETAILING in Largo FL. They make many of their products in house. Brown Royal wheel/tire cleaner in AMAZING ! $ 15 in the store/ $30 on Amz. for a gallon, that you dilute. Have you ever tried it, or any FLASH products ? I love walking in, talking with the owner, ( husband and wife owned ) going out to the warehouse and watching him make products, often other detailers are there, sometimes drinking a beer. That's my way of doing business. I like to eat/shop local independent businesses. Support small businesses like mine. JJ ( just ordered 1 gallon of Britemax sio2 Sealant, thanks for the tip )
Scott, Can DPC armor be used like this with DPC revive? Also when your ceramic coating is released could I coat my truck with it then wash and seal with your other products every time I wash?
You are a force to be reckon with in the detail game! 💪🏼 I am a detail shop with a great reputation for being the best! But you bud broke the mold!! Hats off to ya Scott
Hey Scott, I recently secured a new job and challenge. I have a 2013 Hyundaii Elantra that has spilled Vasoline in the back seat from a two children. What would you recommend to remove this from the cloth seats. I wanted to know if I should use a carpet cleaner because, I believe a carpet extracror may be too much. Thank you for your time, as always!
Scott do you think this method of waterless won't damage a car dirty, cause all of this test the car look fine at least clean, you most do a dirty car and try it with your favorite Rinseless wash just one panel and another stuff would you clean the surface with tar removes before aplaying the sealant ??
oro Robles over 80% of daily drivers have swirls all over the paint. So why over think it? If car is REALLY dirty just rinse off first and than do a rinseless wash. Easy solution:) Remember I'm a professional detailer and most the cars I see are already scratched to living hell and most don't care, they just want clean and shiny. Just look at all the cars you pass when driving down the highway:) People on RUclips or die hard car enthusiasts are the only ones that care about swirls but that's an extremely small percentage of people. If you truly care about your paint, just pick the process that makes sense for you to reduce swirls and marring. I have clients that truly care, and all I do is pre rinse the surface and then use a high quality rinseless wash with very soft microfiber towels. Also remember, if your touching the paint your most likely scratching it no matter what you do but if your extremely careful it will be light scratching by the end of the year and you can do a very light polish and have perfect paint again:)
Scott First of all thanks for sharing all this great information. I have a few questions so I hope it’s okay to ask them here or do you have a website. 1. Have you done a video on micro fiber selection for the various detailing tasks. 2. Also what do you suggest for car that is one year old with a very good finish with virtually no defects. Should I polish then wax or sealant . Or should I go to a AIO?
janbailey60 yes I have videos about microfiber towels I like. If you have a car with no defects, just try to keep it that way by using a safe wash method and apply any type of sealant you enjoy often. I see no reason to polish if your happy with the condition of the paint.... Preserving clear coat is vital so try not to polish often. Thanks for the comment
Hi Scott hows it going??? been watching your videos for a while now I was wondering what type of microfiber towel is your go to that wont leave a lot of crappy lint behind thanks in advance
Hey Scott. I am adding this comment to this video but my question is about RV detailing. How do you fight water spotting when you do the roof of the RV and it runs down the side? I find myself spending extra HOURS trying to remove the spots I add as I clean the roof first then the sides (obviously) which will now have water spots. Even if I try and run down quickly and dry the side I cannot beat the sun drying the water. Thank you!
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing they worth the 300-400 dollars? I have looked into other water softeners as well that use salt but then I feel you have salt on the paint to fight. Anyways thank you. You said that in the video. I remember now.
Scott your videos are awesome! I just had a customer call me with a black '07 jeep. He said the paint is faded, carpets destroyed and he wanted the engine done. So pretty much the full package. I quoted him at $400 and he didn't seem too happy. Am I crazy?
Scott! I just got my hands on an sio2 spray sealant and was just thinking of approaching your process as a drying aid. I too have heard great things and cannot wait to use!
New to detailing and just curious about this. I applied fusso coat on my car (of course had it washed, clayed and polished the car). Is this sio2 product ok to top off the fusso coat when I am maintaining the car? Thanks Scott!!!
Is this better than using megs fast finish? I would think that would be an even better solution considering the drastic price difference (Im aware that megs fast finish isn’t an siO2 product)
David Mieles any sio2 product will outperform megs ultimate fast finish. But if your forced to apply to a dry car and working in extreme direct sunlight, I will use meguiars ultimate fast finish.
Seems like with wolfgang u dont really need a sealer. My car feels like it was just waxed after using it.. now my car is coated and have used Adams boost. So far its holding up great.
Mckees makes one where you spray while the car is wet and rinse it off and from what I've seen the results are pretty amazing and extremely easy to use. I am ordering one to try for myself because this Texas summer is probably the worst we've had the past 4 years
big boy modeler I have no idea, I don't work for the company. I just walk into the store and purchase what I need. Try calling them if you have a question.
Hi Scott. First, thanks for your wonderful guidance. Sharing the fruits of your experience is very generous and helpful. I am not a detailer, just a guy wanting to give my car the best care I can with the least amount of effort. I am a complete neophyte to car care. Unfortunately I have no garage and it sits outside all the time. I have modified one of your earlier videos and do a rinseless wash using Wolfgang Uber and mixing in equal part of Turbo Wax with it, to use on a bi weekly schedule. I think the result is gorgeous. Then, on even months, treat with the apply and walk away sealant Paint Guard Plus. I chose Turbo Wax on the basis of another you tube video that showed it beading after 3 months, but I wonder if you have tried it and have an assessment of it? Also, I would like to know if your advice that wax product no longer protects from a container that was opened a year ago pertains to any of the products I have mentioned using. Finally, I am interested in where Flitz and Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish rate in a scale of aggressiveness compared to each other and to standard compounds and polishes. That is a lot I have asked you to consider and I know your time is valuable. Thanks for any bits you can address and thanks anyway even if you don't, for you have already provided tons of helpful info. PS I am an ex yankee too.
William Mercer britemax makes a great sio2 sealant and it's economical for this process as well. Use whatever sio2 sealant you like but yes I'm a fan of drive auto appearance.
Off topic but I have to thank you for saving me money lol. Was going to buy bead maker but saw your comment about the humidity and I thought yeah he has a point. So thank you lol
Appreciate the tip Scott. Any advice on correcting vintage classics with laquer single stage? I went through your playlist but couldn’t find anything. I am hesitant to touch it due to the inconsistencies in paint thickness. I thought about Meguiars #7 but that won’t help the scratching and swirls. Should I just live with them?
Prime Time Auto Shine go in with the least aggressive process and see what results you get. That's what I would do if your concerned with total thickness of paint:)
I don’t know what’s up with these folks taking issue here Scott. Great video and an interesting use of the SI02 product family. It was very clear that this was not a Drive Auto specific technique, but one that translates across several brand’s SI02 products. Stay in school kids! Please know that this small contingent of whiners do not speak for the majority of your viewers. Please keep up the good work!
Ron Hipwell thank you for the kind words. It's becoming so exhausting trying to be transparent and help others. I just shake my head and just want to walk away..... Hmmmmm
I just watched this video and I think Ron's comment is dead bang on point. I dont see anything to complain about. Just a new way of using a class or group of products. Keep giving us ideas Scott!
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing which drying towel do you personally use? Btw love your approach to detailing. Keep up the great videos and tips!
Scott - loving the channel and the insights but what seemed to start with on the ground feedback has grown to a point I’ve lost track of what is a core kit for the keen detailer...the KISS mantra holds true
Gregor sorry you got lost..of course there is a core process to detailing but many times we need to change up the process depending on the situation. Soap, hose, clay bar, sealant is still a simple process and perhaps you should just stick with that.
Scott, add links to your products, you are missing out on making some great passive cash/affiliate marketing, especially with Walmart. Great information and I'm binge watching everything on your channel. I just bought a 2018 black Mustang and I need all the help I can get. Thank you for awesome content!
Another great video! I’d love to get your take on Opti-coat hyper seal. Supposed to be a great si02 spray that is Better then Opti seal but with all the great wipe on walk away properties
I have used Hyper Seal and Reload. Hyper seal I think is much easier to apply than Reload. Wipes off smoothly. Reload has a tendency to streak and hard to buff off sometimes. But Reload comes in different sizes from 1.6oz to 1gal whereas Hyper Seal is only 16oz. With the 1.6oz sample size of Reload I can get 3-4 cars so I can use much less product and be more profitable. Which I guess you could do the same with hyper seal if you buy a separate unlabeled small bottle.
R so does valuguard but I just call them because I'm not afraid of using the phone:) Many companies have horrible websites, I probably do as well but I'm still busy as hell and make more than most... Go figure But why not use another sio2 spray sealant? That was the point of the video anyway.

Most people shop on price instead of value sell him on the value you provide not the price for your service
Where do you get the towels you’re using for rinseless? Thanks in advance Scott!
Can you use this method on a car with a sealant or wax previously applied?
Scott can you give me a place to get good microfiber towels for wiping off compounds and sealants?
Hi Scott would Menzerna and Simoniz original work well together? When are you going to review or check out UK products like Bilt Hamber and Autoglym?

Too funny with these trolls... it doesn't cost ANYTHING to pay attention :)
what gsm qualifies as a good "drying towel"? 600+?
Trace the one that doesn't scratch the paint when drying.
I have seen less gsm and still works great
I hear you lol thanks

Dave Smith I have used it
DRIVE has a TERRIBLE website!
R so does valuguard but I just call them because I'm not afraid of using the phone:)
Many companies have horrible websites, I probably do as well but I'm still busy as hell and make more than most...
Go figure
But why not use another sio2 spray sealant?
That was the point of the video anyway.
Where are they hiding this stuff on their website? I’d like to compare it to an acrylic ceramic hybrid I’ve been using.
Adam Felmlee I have no idea, I don't work for them.
I would try calling them
Hi Adam, we are currently working on photography for our new Ceramic Products. We will have this listed soon. Thanks!
I wonder if you could use Jescar as a drying agent
MrMrwilson11 jescar power lock sealant?????
Yep!
Come to think of it, Jescar might be a mile too think to use as a drying agent
MrMrwilson11 no that wouldn't work...
It needs to be applied dry and have time for the carrying agents to dry before buffing off.
Hmmmmm
Skull Tap are you actually serious that you took a traditional liquid sealant that needs to cure on the paint for 10-15 minutes so the chemical carriers can allow sealant to bond to the paint, and you thought you could use that type of sealant as a drying aid??

TJ Campie yes

Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing make sense, i will stick with traditional (blue) onr amd spray wax
Scott is the Maguiers fast finish an sio2 sealant?
sorry wrong place for my comment
Spike .Strat13 no it’s not.
