A huge misconception in Dragon Ball GT is that Pan is Goku Jr.'s Grandmother. In today's video, Qaaman analyzes a deep misconception about her being the grandmother of Goku Jr. in Dragon Ball GT and the GT tv special called A Hero's Legacy. @@PerfectAlibi1 Possible. But I have always been wondered . What about Goku Jr's parents and Grandparents. Why was Pan the only ancestor ? Could be that he was send to her to be trained by the eldest family member. ^^
The problem with the 3rd piece of evidence is also the implication that Goku and Vegeta’s family fell out of contact with each other, which is disappointing to the brother/sister Goku and Bulma became. Vegeta Jr.’s mother had no clue who Pan was, which is concerning since Pan knew Trunks and potentially his children and grandchildren. So Vegeta Jr.’s mother not knowing or recognizing Pan implies the two families grew apart somehow.
Timestamp? Not sure how the evidence is connected to point 3.
@@QaamansLand @7:35
The interaction between Pan and Vegeta Jr.’s mother (at least in the dub) implies that she doesn’t recognize Pan as a Family friend. Pan’s reaction is what gives it away. Pan recognizes her to be a descendant of Bulma’s, but Pan and Goku Jr. aren’t recognized by Vegeta Jr. or his mother.
The problem being that if what you say is true, and it is thanks to Announcer’s descendant, is that Goku and Vegeta’s family grew apart. That’s the problem. The 100 year time skip had the writers separate the two Saiyan families, which is weird since they’ve spent so many years together since the Android saga.
Bulla and Pan are close friends, as are Pan and Trunks (considering how many people shipped them together in GT), so the fact that Pan lost contact with the to the point she isn’t recognized by their grandchildren and great grandchildren does prove your point, but also brings up a scary implication of the two Saiyan families drifting apart like that.

Gohan’s been with his father’s friends or his mom for his entire 10 years of life until then. Gohan and Piccolo did not have the same lifestyle and cannot be compared like that.
I mean she is still technically his grandma but a different type of grandma and maybe to make it simpler for Goku Jr. Pan asked him to just call her Grandma instead of Great Great Grandma

@@QaamansLand So there were two Son Gokus between Goku and the Jr ?
@neerazsharma6 No. It says both because he's going to mention Hercule Satan as well. Goku junior is the Great-Great-Great-Great Grandson of Goku and Hercule.
A great grandparent is still a grandparent. Even if Pan is his Great Great Grandmother she'd still be his Grandmother.
I meant literally
@@QaamansLand I'm just wondering how many people thought it was literal. Probably more than I'd think, also maybe the heart virus that almost took Goku could of been genetic. But it's something we may never know.
@@-VinnieWilson02-it just seems unlikely that every family member in between pan jr and goku jr all just died due to the sheer amount of potential family members there are.even if there’s a lethal disease that was genetic it still wouldn’t be able to just wipe out multiple generations of children down the line tbh. Also the heart virus was a pandemic on earth during the android saga that got a cure years later in the main timeline.
My Great Grandma was the only Grandparent I have ever known.
@@QaamansLandThis may be a matter of semantics and perspective, but it sounded like you meant Pan is not his grandmother in any way.
To me, a great great grandmother is still a grandmother.
But still interesting to think about the timing.
Good video.
Well Saiyans physically stay in their 20's until they chronologically hit 80, so if that part of the Saiyan genes carried over to Pan, then it wouldn't be unreasonable for her to have had a child at 50, 60 or 70 years old.
But the granddaughter's grandchild and the great-great-great-great-grandson things are pretty irrefutable.
It depends on how saiyan eggs work. Human eggs are finite, this - not age - is what causes the menopause.
@@KopperNeoman The division and replication of all cells in the body is finite, and this process causes damage and imperfections in our DNA; that is why we age, and why old folks tend to be so much more prone to illness and injury.
Taking a scientific look at the planet-busting super space warriors in this series about magical wish-granting balls. I would say the reason Saiyans can look so young for so long is likely because the older-looking Saiyans got picked off in battle, so the more youthful ones survived and reproduced, until the entire species had adapted to better cope with (or at least hide) the signs of aging for a long time. Because of this, the female Saiyans would probably produce eggs for longer than humans would.
I don't think that's necessarily the case. Sayans age slower, but they still age. Vegeta in GT was in his early 60s and he was just starting to get wrinkles (like a human in their early 40s). I presume that means Saiyans age 1 year for every 1.5 years humans age. So if the life expectancy in DB world is 90 years, Saiyans would live to about age 135 on average.
Now why is Goku still young despite being physically over age 100? Simple The dragon Shenron made him immortal at the end of DBGT.
@@KopperNeoman saiyans females could has more eggs, we know they have more lifespan, pan this too strong for a 110 years old people, seems like she was in a 75 years old and she is a 1/4, imagine a pure saiyan, and famales saiyans are warriors like males saiyans, cause they dont stay with kids, they reproduce and go to battle fast
Pan isn't a normal human
I think the most plausible way Goku Jr's family died (if they are dead) is through some illness that Pan wasn't impacted by. The ending of GT implies peace happened for the century following the Shadow Dragons, and a foe that's strong enough to kill off 2 generations of Goku's descendants doesn't seem to fit in that narrative.
The other possibility is just some internal family issues put it so Pan is the caretaker & Pan's death went unnoticed.
What sort of internal issues.
@@QaamansLand maybe dead beat parents? And they just gave him up to her.

There's no need to think Goku 's family maintained their strength in times of peace enough to not die from natural disasters(exploring space or any other random event), or stop learning about Ki, or were disinterested.

No because an ancestor at least the definition I've always been taught is a relative that died before you was born so she's his grandmother but grandmother from a few ways back instead of just Grandma so. Not sure how the video was proven anything other than the very thing we already have been told in the show. In the old days hundreds of years ago grandparents no matter how many grandparents ago they were they were just called grandma and grandpa or whatever I'm I'm sorry I think I made an error they would just need to call Father or mother but the people that time knew they meant further back than just mother or father but they didn't do like we do say grandparents name at least that's what we've been told if you listen to certain history people. Its common to call close great great great grandparents grandma or grandpa, heck at the end of the movie Goku himself tells Goku Jr. To call him grandpa Goku, both Pan and Goku are still his grandparents.
So Pan is Goku Jr.'s great great grandmother. Makes sense to me.
My grandfather had a son with a younger woman when he was 75. I have an uncle who is 15 years younger than me. And Japan is generally a lot weirder than the US, I can totally buy Pan being his grandmother even with the age gap. Apart from Goku and the announcer's dialogue, which I just chalk up to GT being GT.

Thanks for covering not well known topics in the Dragon Ball community/series. I have a question if you ever see this comment. Do you know about the Teleportation zone? The place Goku and others who use Instant Tramsmission and Kai Kai go to when teleporting. You can see it in Metal Cooler and I think they show it it a few times in the actual Z series. I would really love if you did videos of forgotten Dragon Ball things or things the writers introduced but forgot about kind of like Launch, or Magic or where Namekiens come from which if I remember correctly isn’t even from U7 so they’re probably holding the origin of Namekians in their back pocket. It became a family tradition for Goku and Pans descendants to join the Galactic Patrol, and they are typically on galactic missions and some were likely killed in action. Since Pan was 10 in GT, I would say shes actually a great great great grandma if you calculate every 20 years after she around 30/40 but since we dont know the family in the time line before the movie, we cant tell how many greats she is.
Didn't watch the full video? Go to 8:36.
@@great159I don't know if the dub states differently (I think it might and that's why so many people think there was a 10 year timeskip), but GT takes place 5 years after the end of Z according to the original Japanese version, and Pan was only 4 years old at the end of Z. And 4 + 5 = 9. So Pan is 9 at the start of GT, regardless of how independent she was.
I still wonder what happened to Goku Jr’s parents. I think it might’ve been safer for the movie to state Pan is just a great Grandma, or a Grandma in general. It saves alot of confusion considering that no one else from the family trait was no longer there
What about Vegeta Jr?
The issue with Vegeta Jr is that because he was added in a similar fashion of Goku Jr, execpt that they don’t state where in the trait hes in other than he is the son of the bulma look-a-like, who can be either from Trunks or Bullas Family trait. But lets say its from Bullas.

on the DBZ wiki it says Pan is his great-great-grandmother
So we agree...
I'm so glad we're still able to find details from DB, DBZ, DBGT to talk about.
One thing is for certain....Vegeta Jr's hairline receded much faster than the Vegeta we grew up with. Also, I guess Goku has free reign to go where ever he wants. It seems like there's nobody that can or want to stop Goku at that point in time.
Also, I feel like it's important to note that, in Japanese, it's not uncommon to use familiar terms as titles, like Mr. or Ms. or Sir or Ma'am in English. So, it's POSSIBLE that when translating to English from Japanese (I haven't watched this in Japanese), that Goku Jr. really does just call Pan his "Obaa-san" or "Baa-san" or even "Baa-baa". All are terms for grandmother, and would be used for... well, ANY grandmother, if used as a title. If you're being SPECIFIC about it, then yes, the term changes, to MANY different things, from Hibaa-san, to Sou-sobo.
My point is, we can just assume that, in this case, "Grandma" doesn't have to be a literal term of how many generations removed from Goku Jr. she is, but rather a title. Like how I just referred to my great grandmother as "granny".
ALSO also, it's still weird to me that Vegeta Jr. has a crazy-ass widow's peak, unlike Vegeta when he was young, who, you know... DOESN'T.
@@jessicastoker8932 Depends, if you go by the old stuff shown he does not have it, but the new stuff about kid vegeta has the peak.

I always thought it was weird to NOT seeing Goku JR's parent or at least get to know what happened to them.
But never really questioned the grandma thing.
It makes a lot of sense now! Thanks for the video!!
Goku is great great great great grandfather of goku's jr💀
Probably Goku junior was taken by Pan to train as she must have been the only one who continued training in martial arts. Meaning like Goku who took Uub somewhere far to train she took Goku jr to train due to his insistence for Pan to teach him martial arts as times of peace probably made Goku's lineage much softer. This could be the reason why the two of them are living alone together.
Obviously Pan hit 80 and used Shenron to wish for another magazine of eggs to chamber. Sick moves, Grandma.
This is... extremely over-analyzed. Anyone that watched GT back in the day knows she's too old to be his direct grandmother. In fact, her being a Great-Great-Grandmother makes the most logical sense if every birthing parent was approximately 20 years old at the time of childbirth assuming GJ's 10 as of GT - A Hero's Journey.
Getting more into theoretical territory though, if we don't want to say that Goku JR's family is just annihilated down to just those two members, it could be that they are with the GT version of the Galactic Patrol. There still needs to be an integration done between Super and the end of Z, so this may just solidify things. Goku and Vegeta both temporarily joined the GP during the Granolah arc, so it stands to reason if they exist in the GT timeline, Goku's family MIGHT just pull a Justice League and focus on more cosmic matters leaving the kids and Capsule Corp to tend to Earthly threats, thus giving the reason why Bulma's descendant was at the tourney as a direct parent, while Goku Jr only had Pan.
So is this a rude way of saying you agree?
@@QaamansLand Ain't rude, just truth with a little theorizing thrown in. It was over-analyzed, I'm not wrong.

@@QaamansLandI get the generational gap part, it’s just the gender of their blood relatives that’s confusing
Technically Pan could have had a kid at around 50 and her kid could have had Goku Jr. at around 50.
Saiyans age slower than Humans. It's very possible that Female Saiyan could have children in there 70-80s. Or maybe they don't get menopause. For all we know, they produce eggs for life. Different biological traits are a big possibility.
just as an example, the tenth president of the united states, john Tyler, still has a living grandson. This family has 3 generations that span across 4 centuries. John Tyler was born in 1790, So, large generation gaps are possible, however, it would of required Pan to have a son and said son have a child at an advance age and we simply do not have that information from GT. The announcer's line really is the only information we have about the Son Family status in the future

8:36
Lets say the Saiyan's genes spreaded one way or another in 100 years. Grandkids had offsprings. At some point kids with resemblances of the previous Z fighters would be born. All in all if the family members didn't keep a very strong bond and close contact , Pan eventually would stumble upon a crying baby that looks just like Goku. Maybe in the wilderness for plot and story build. She would take him in and become his Grandma Pan like Gohan did Goku all those years ago. Now the story of Goku Jr. begin. Thank me later.😅👍
Well, Goku isn’t the smartest person, which that scene was supposed to depict. It would make complete sense that he’d get confused when trying to explain that Goku Jr is his granddaughters grandson, which would make Goku his great great grandfather.
Even still, Goku explains that Goku Jr is his grandson. Even if Pan is his great grandmother, shes still his grandmother.
Also, Vegeta and Bulma had Bulla at like 50 years old. It’s plausible that Pan could just be his grandmother since saiyans retain their youth much longer than humans. Pan could have aged more like a Saiyan than a human.

@@QaamansLandA 50 or a 60 year time skip what it be far better since
It's probably been stated by now somewhere in the mass of comments, but Pan clarifies this herself in the final episode. After Vegeta Jr.'s mother mistakes her for Goku Jr.'s mom, she responds that she's his great-great grandmother (japanese subtitles). That direct line pretty much clears everything up.
I don't think a 100-year age gap between grandparent and grandchild is _impossible,_ though it's certainly unlikely, but it's harder to argue with Goku's and the Tournament Announcer's claims about the gap between them.
That and the fact she is 110 and riding a giant wood log while other presumably younger but still old people in the show cant move around like her. The sayain life span defiantly got passed down. Considering sayain keep their youth until they reach a really old age its not surprising to think she has it. Goku and Vegeta are in their 50s at this point i believe and still have their youth. Who knows how old bardock and gene were when they had goku. We see paragus who had gone grey but still showed little signs of aging otherwise. So going off that its vary possible pan could have had a child much much later in life.
No it's not. My 3x great grandad was born in 1792 his 2nd youngest son my 2x gt grandad was born in 1854. His youngest son son was born in 1908 so there was about a 116 year gap.
President Tyler born in 1790 has a granchild that is alive today so totally possible.
You know what is more confusing? Vegeta jr. How is Vegeta jr looking like his ancestor. Trunks looks little to nothing like his father and yet Jr here looks exactly like the prince of all Saiyans.
Edit: Or maybe Bulma Leigh took pieces of Vegeta's DNA and created a genetic copy. This, Vegeta Jr is a clone of Vegeta.
Explain Goku then.
@@QaamansLand Goku's descendance looks more like him then Vegeta's. Gohan just has a different hair shape and Goten looks spot on. Trunks takes more after his mom and if trunks has a kid then that kid should look more less like Vegeta.
What I'm saying is Goku's offsprings have more Goku in them when it comes to genes and appearances. If Pan was male then she would have a different hairstyle. Or maybe her hair changes over time because hybrid Saiyan's don't have the trait of having the same hairstyle like pure bloods do.

She’s Goku Jr’s great-great grandmother in the Japanese version. His regular grandmother in the English version. But let’s not make a big debate over it.
Goku Jr. is actually 1/32nd saiyan based on the statistics. His saiyan blood is far diluted.

@@QaamansLandIt’s based off of how irl biology works. Assuming that it works like actual biology which it’s implied to. For as much as GT gets shit on here at RUclips, every time I see or hear the actual stories in it, I have to be honest, GT sounds way, way better than Dragon Ball Super (oh boy I bet I'm going to get hate for this, if anybody reads this).
To be fair, I only saw Dragonball and DBZ, I didn't actually see GT or Super. The storytelling in Super doesn't sound very deep though from what I've heard.
Nah… both shows are pretty good. Both do have their own “ups” and “downs” though. GT was supposed to be a much longer series. But Toei didn’t see it as profitable enough in their eyes and told the creators to wrap up the story asap. That’s why the “Super 17” was only 6 episodes, the “Shadow Dragons” was rushed and the “Baby Arc” ended too soon, which is when they had to cut plenty of what was planned to add into the story. I do prefer GT over Super though… the writing, character designs, and story pale in comparison to everything else before it in my opinion.

Are we forgetting that in Dragon Ball, Roshi is over 300?
Nope we didn’t forget Mutēn Roshi’s age my friend. He drank the fountain of youth elixir. They actually stated that in the original Dragon Ball Anime Show. I agree Qaaman it’s not possible for Pan to be Goku Jr.’s grandmother since Pan is 110 years old and the subsequent age gap and generations of the Son Family between Pan and Goku Jr. I’m pretty sure there are other descendants of Goku, Gohan Goten, Chi-Chi and Videl in Dragonball GT Hero’s Legacy such as Beat from Dragonball Heroes. I agree that some threat wiped out the rest of Goku Jr.’s Family and that’s why he’s alone with Pan.
Tell me about Beat. Haven't played heroes
@@QaamansLand Beat is the main character and mascot of Dragonball Heroes along with his girlfriend Note. He is basically a Earthling who uses time travel technology of Dragonball Heroes machines to become a Saiyan Hero Avatar who enters the world of Dragonball Heroes. Dragonball Heroes is basically Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh and Sword Art Online with Dragonball. In Super Dragonball Heroes World it’s revealed that Beat is actually a Saiyan Earthling hybrid descendant of Goku. It seems that the world of Dragonball Heroes take place in the distant future of Dragonball and in the same time period as Dragonball GT A Hero’s Legacy. I would say Beat and Goku Jr. could be considered distant cousins.
It's entirely possible seeing how in real life president John Tyler the 10th us president has a grandson that is alive today and he was born in 1790 and died in 1862
0:50 can we all agree goku is as dumb as rocks which was heavily played up for laughs in DBZA
Think you forget saiyans reproduce differently from humans. Males age slower to keep battle powers high for longer while female saiyans may age faster to produce more warriors since they often die in battle. Paragus also managed to father broly without a female saiyan by using technology and machines. It's possible saiyans grow to their adult states quickly so they can be more effective in combat. Remember Cell is 5 years old and fully formed and "adult" gohan is actually 16.

@@QaamansLand Don't think you understood my comment. I'm not saying goku jr is pan's grandson. I'm just saying saiyan biology could be the reason that pan is a great great grandmother already at age 110. When in normal humans 5 generations would be at a much older age on average. It means that they each generation was taking on average 22 years to have kids. This is far below the human average of late 20s to early 30s to have your first kid. It's likely the saiyan cells play an influence in making saiyans want children at an earlier age before they get killed or damaged in battle.
@@gamewithadam7235likely saiyan women age the same as saiyan men. Since both are still warriors and the comment about their age was blanket not male specific
@@KombatW0mbat It's possible. But maybe they grow up faster as children to get their adult warrior forms quicker and then aging slows down to keep them in peak condition. Since Gohan as 12 years old looks like a teenager when he's not even, and looks like an adult when he's only 16. And that's only a hybrid saiyan. Purer blooded saiyans even of 3rd class may age even quicker.
Remember that timeskip when Goku become an adult in original dragonball? Maybe it was less time than you'd think. Think it was like a 5 year timeskip but I don't remember. I don't remember goku's original age in dragonball I think it was like 8 or 10. And depending on the timeskip what his age was when he started to look like an adult.
@@gamewithadam7235 oh yeah that’s absolutely true the super hero Gohan makes a comment about saiyans quickly aging. Basically they go through an extreme growth spurt and then remain in their prime for an extremely LONG time to fight longer and then quickly age
Goku jr is the decenant of Goten. Goten didnt have a child till pan was aleast 14 or older. Not to mention Goten was a replica of his father unlike gohan. Meaning Goten has the look alike genes. This makes pan and goku jr cousins or to be more exact. Goku jr is the 1st cousin 4 times removed to Pan
The great great great great-grandfather bit is just as weird as grandmother.
Goku-gggg-gf

Goku’ jr.
Out of every single member here; there’s no parents, grandparents, great grandparents, no Tios (uncles or aunts), cousins, family friends, anything. As far as we see, the only authority in his life is the ancient old woman who lives by herself. Even then, most human women can’t move like pan can at that age, especially no saiyan woman💀
How is it weird?
Pan was 100 when Goku Jr was born
75 year old child
50 year old grandchild
25 year old great grand child
Goku Jr. Born at 0.
@@QaamansLand it’s not the age bro, it’s the fact that there’s literally no one else in this kids life except his ancient family member my guy. If it was just his grandmother, ok he’s just saying at his grandmothers or he lost his parents, but apparently his whole 4 generation family is gone and he needs to live with pan.
Gt is a money grab. It was made for kids. A kids series. Just a quick made saga. Super fixes it all as it goes onn.....hopefully
I mean, to be fair about the whole age logic point, saiyans do stay in their prime for like 80 years and then rapidly age, so it isn't a massive stretch to say that a mother for Goku Junior could have birthed him if Pan is 110
Bro forgot the fact that Pan is a quarter of a saiyan
@@Mr_Gamer-Random She is 110 riding giant logs down mountains, the only other old character to do that kinda shit is roshi and he is magically immortal. I mean really Kami who is in namekiab years prolly just as old can barely move about. The witches, Old kai, The old humans not magically immortal all can barely do shit. Another fun fact is that goku Jr despite being even less sayain then pan can go ssj. Pretty much good enough for me to say that the sayain life span got passed down just like ssj.
My favorite Head Canon: Pan had a Grandson that had a one night stand with Trunk's Great Granddaughter. They procreated Goku Jr.'s Father. Therefore Goku Jr.'s Father was a disgrace from birth to The Vegeta Family, so Trunk's Great Granddaughter kept the relation to Goku's bloodline secret. After Goku Jr. was born, The Vegeta Family was shocked to see the baby look like Goku. This confusion made Trunk's Great Granddaughter reveal the truth of her sleeping with Pan's Grandson. This destroyed The Vegeta family, so they disowned Trunk's Great Granddaughter and killed Goku Jr.'s Father. The Vegeta Family attempted to kill Goku Jr. as well to wipe out the last mix of both Family's blood, but Goku Jr.'s Mother protected him at the cost of her life while his Grandmother, Trunk's Great Granddaughter, carried him out to safety. Trunks Great Granddaughter gave Goku Jr. to Pan's Grandson then decided to isolate herself as she felt not to be worthy as Saiyan, Human, or even Mother. Trunk's Granddaughter went into complete isolation and was never seen again. Goku Jr. was now under his Grandfather's care, but was given to his Great-Great Grandmother Pan to live in isolation and learn to fight because not everyone in The Vegeta Family knew of Pan's whereabouts, who she is, or even if she's alive. Pan was the safest person for Goku Jr. to be with. 10 years go by and all the only ones to know about Goku Jr's forbidden heritage is Pan, Trunk's Great Granddaughter, and Trunk's Great Grandson. They all choose to sweep it under the rug after the 10 years pass.
To answer potential questions you may have, I have some extra information below:
Trunk's Great Grandson is Vegeta Jr.'s Grandfather.
Vegeta Jr. was born around the same time as Goku Jr., so The Vegeta Family was split up when they were being born. Those who knew the truth did not reveal it to the rest of the family. That's why Vegeta Junior's mother doesn't know the story about Goku Jr. and never met Pan before.
Vegeta Jr.'s Grandfather slid the truth under the rug about Goku Jr. and stopped his quest to kill him because he lost his son's life Fighting The Goku Family over the fued. Vegeta Jr.'s Father is dead over the issue. It broke him like when Cell killed Trunks infront of Vegeta.
Pan was getting frustrated trying to train Goku Jr. because she was failimg at preparing him to protect himself from The Vegeta Family.
Goku Jr. isnt living with any other relatives because he is a disgrace from birth to his one side of the Family, The Vegeta Family, and Pan is the only survivor in his other side of the Family, The Goku Family.
All of The Goku Family died within the 10 years of Goku Jr.'s life.
The one's at Goku Jr.'s birth was Goku Jr., Goku Jr.'s Mother, Goku Jr.'s Father, Goku Jr.'s Grandmother, and Goku Junior's Great Uncle, and the son of Goku Jr's Great Uncle... Goku Jr.'s Great Uncle is Trunk's Great Grandson for anyone who is confused, and just to be extra clear that's the Grandfather of Vegeta Jr.
The reason Vegeta Jr.'s father was at Goku Jr.'s birth and not around his wife is because Goku Jr.'s due date was about a few days before Vegeta's Jr.'s birth.
Goku Jr.'s Father and Mother were killed by Vegeta Jr.'s Father and Grandfather because they were not nearly as skilled fighters.
Goku Jr.'s Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Great Grandmother in The Goku Family were fighting Vegeta Jr.'s Father and Grandfather for 10 years. Goku Jr.'s Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother both died in battle before the 9th year Grandfather. The Final battle was on the 9th year.
The Goku Family kept losing against The Vegeta Family, but Goku Jr.'s Grandfather was always spared because he knew of Goku Jr.'s whereabouts.
The Final battle was on the 9th year of Goku Jr.'s life. Goku Jr.'s Grandfather was against Vegeta Jr.'s Father and Grandfather. Goku Jr.'s Grandfather, manged to kill Vegeta Jr.'s Father with a fatal strike. This cause Vegeta Jr.'s Grandfather to lose control and kill Goku Jr.'s Grandfather.
After Goku Jr.'s Grandfather was dead, Vegeta Junior's Grandfather could never get over the fact his son died infront of him over this bloodline issue. It made him rethink of the issue. He decided to just to let it go because he lost too much and was even further from accomplishing the goal of killimg Goku Jr.
The other members of The Vegeta Family never heard the truth of Goku Jr. from Vegeta Jr.'s Grandfather or Father because it was considered shameful and was kept secret for prideful reasons.
A year of peace went by without the search for Goku Jr., so it was all just swept under the rug.
Vegeta Jr.'s Grandfather didn't make an issue at the Tournament because the tournaments are always full of weaklings.
I guess she is just like a Grandpa Gohan situation huh? Found a kid and raised the kid.
Also if Goku Jr isn't Pan's grandchild then who tf is he related to if he's able to go super saiyan? Goten? Bulla? Trunks? The last two could be more related to Vegeta Jr so it's got to be Goten right? Wait no, Goten is way older than Pan so it would make even less sense. I'll just chalk it up to the GT writers rushing things and not paying attention to what they were doing.
Did you watch 8:36?
@@QaamansLand You kmow I was just about to type out a paragraph about my confusion but I just had a 'OHHHHH' moment.
i mean, Pan wasn't literally on her death bed, she was only in the hospital for one night at most. She's well enough to not only figure out where Goku Jr went, but also ride a helicopter and FIND him.
So Goku Jr prolly does have other family, and it's most likely their house pan and him are staying at, they're prolly out of town and asked Pan to take care of him.
It might also be why Bulma's descendant doesn't recognize Pan, Pan might not live in that city. I can imagine her living at the house Goku and Chichi moved into after they married.
But it's GT, I stopped trying to make sense of it after I heard the words "Bo Para Para"
Then why was Goku Jr. so afraid that she was going to die? Was that just fear talking?
So Pan is Goku Jr's great great grandma...
DAMN, HOW OLD IS GOKU?!
Edit: I don't remember his exact age, but I know he's near 150 years old
Ah simple solution, for the age gap. partial iimmortality like what Roshi had.
Two therise, paradice grass
Or Roshiphoenix bestowed on her.
I'd say latter due to phoenix's have ability resurrect from there ashes, so most likely had found the bird, helped it of trouble, it bestowed iimmortality to her.
Tbh I thought goku jr was Pan’s son
Whaaaaaa!!!!!
Impossible wtf
You're funny
Just to sum it up... there is 2 to 3 generations between Pan and Goku Jr. There is Pan, Pan's child, Pan's grandchild, maybe Pan's great grandchild, then Goku jr.
Watch 8:36. You mean 3.
@@QaamansLand yeah you're right I had to look at it again haha
The death theory could still be valid. The family could have all been in the same house/area when a natural disaster happened. Or they could have all caught a contagious illness & Goku Jr. Managed to survive or never caught it.
Tell me what you agree or disagreed with.
@@QaamansLand just adding on to the death theory. Everything pretty much makes sense.
my boy goten was working 24/7
I know this has nothing to do with this video but it makes me. Wonder is (Muten)Master Roshi still alive in the heroes legacy?
The reason why I asked that was because and dragon ball when goku was a kid during the red ribbon ark when goku drunk the sac with water it said that it was 300 years ago that Roshi drunk the sacred water and it took him 3 years to get the sacred water from him.
So basically Pan is the mom of Goku jr's off screen Grandma. Gotcha.
So not even you don't know who is Goku junior parents are this is a waste of time
Go to 8:36
I agree with theory, parents of Reincarnated of Goku, Actually rush the ending of series of GT, my opinions are can’t rush the stuff, where the off spring parents of Goku Jr,
In the ending of GT with when they are having that tournament she says I am his great great grandmother
Wes?
@@QaamansLand I meant to say when I’m have sleep trying to write this comment 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I figure Pan was Goku Jr Great Grandmother
My nephew is 7 months and my grandpa is 81 so in like 10 years he be like 92. I can see the age gap but I watch it in Spanish and I remember her not being his grandma either.
Did you pay attention to the other points? Go to 8:36.
@@QaamansLand ah miss that part. Ya you right but I agree she wasn't grandma from watching the Spanish version back in panama.
Wow the writers of GT are just extra af lol why would they make her his great great grandma lol that’s such a large gap
First how are u bud
Saiyan can stay young until about 80 then they age up so yeah a 70year old being with this race blood in them could have kids in what would be old age for a human
I'm really having trouble understanding your logic here. Honestly, I think he still is here grandson, the writers just didn't put much thought into it. A lot of things in Dragon Ball dont make sense, we're talking about the world that had a dog as king at one point 😅
Go to 8:36.
Did you watch the full video?
@Qaaman I did, and like I said, I don't think they put any thought into the math of it. They just slapped 100 years for the hell of it.
@@Feedback72 but like Qaaman is pointing out to, they directly say in what way Goku Jr is related to Goku so Pan isn't his grandmother. But yeah they definitely didn't thinking before writing that in that Pan lived 100+ years
As I said before. If they made it a 50 year gap and Pan was 60 instead of 110 there would be no issue. 60 is a normal age for a grandma. Not 110.
your forgetting that pan is 1/3 saiyan and might have that aging slowly and who know how long until females saiyans stop having kids.
One of the presidents forms the mid 1800s has a living grandson today. The grandson's father was the son
of the president. Plus, we don't know the the effects the sayain genetics would have on the aging of pan. It is possible that she remained fertile well into her older years.
Exactly what I am saying President John Tyler born 1790 MD his granson is alive today so it's entirely possible.
At the beginning of dragon ball GT pan is 14. She was 4 in the last episode of DBZ and 10 years took place between the last DBZ episode and the first DBGT episode.
No. She's 9. You are using the English version. There was originally a 5 year gap in the Japanese version.
@@QaamansLandbro Pan was dating in GT , now you wanna believe she was 9 years old .????
Vegeta did mention that Saiyans can retain their youth and live longer than average humans. I guess that would somewhat make sense on why the human grandparents of Goku Jr are dead. But that wouldn’t explain those with the Saiyan bloodline 🤷🏾♂️
Do folks really expect the cast to refer to pan great x10 grandma every time the relationship is brought up lol?
Say grandma is just simplifying things obviously.
The video was to prove those who actually think she is. Congrats. You are well informed
@@QaamansLand Oh I know. My complaint is for those that want to nitpick.
So Pan is Goku Jr.’s great-great-grandmother
It would have to be Goten's decedent some where down the road kid. Its that damn look
Still cant believe goku just left with uub instead of staying with pan.
Pretty sure GT never claimed he was her grandson. He was introduced as her great-grandson.
This be the reason why I like sub over dub it’s just more accurate wording
It does make sense because she can be just be a couple of greats as a grandmother.
I mean I call my great grandma just grandma ___ bc the great would be tiring all the time
Who let him cook ♻️
The threat was peace, and probably heart disease.
still a grandma
I think Goku jr is 6 to 7 he May is the same size of Goten and those two looked the same
Hmm, realistically, the saiyan DNA would probably let Pan have children at older ages than a human.
Also, can we talk about how The Goku Lineage had children young, then everyone after Pan died almost immediately after reproduction or decided to be a bunch of deadbeat relatives. and that Goten probably never settled or Goku Jr would have a distant cousin in his life that Pan raised too
You're assuming that both pan and her future kid(s) had their own kid(s) at a young age like 18. If pan had offspring at at least 50 and her kid(s) waited till at least 50 the Goku Jr could be Pan's grandson.
What doesn't make sense to me is how Goku and Vegeta jr still look so much like them and can even transform. You would think generations down the line their blood would be mostly human at that point. Eventually like hundreds of years into the future they wouldn't even be Saiyans at all lol.
