- In this video we show an exclusive behind the scenes tour of our animated series 'The Thingshow'. We show how we're using AI-tools like Midjourney, Elevenlabs and Chat GPT but also more traditional software like Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Character animator.

I made this video to show how much/little AI helps with making The Thingshow. You'll see there's still a lot of hard work and love behind this channel.
Nobody is interested in 100% AI-generated videos for the same reason nobody cares about two chess computers competing against each other.
This video is meant to inspire people to realize their creative ideas and point them to the tools that can bring those ideas to life.
I fully agree with you. The entire character animation process is the most difficult and takes a lot of time. It takes us 30-35 hours to prepare one episode. Generating graphics using AI is the easiest, but it's just an addition. And the most important thing is the script. Without it, even the best graphics and animation mean nothing. I agree and that is why artists should be using these tools for productivity/creativity gains where applicable. These tools can really benefit and they aren't going away.

Thanks! I usually reuse the same mouth for new characters. I picked Aardman style mouths to get away with it.

Im in pain right now even thought this is really well made I dont think A.I should be used for animated shows. Good job tho.

I don't understand how your channel isn't getting enough traction. You are clearly ahead of the pack in utilizing ai to create content.
Since YT is pushing for longer content these days, maybe making a more in depth tutorial for your process might be a good addition to this.
I for one would be interested in a multi part series for each workflow stage like Mj, photoshop image prep, rigging and animating and fusion 3d etc.

Has character animator sorted itself out? Last time I used it all the body parts kept detaching from each other when I made the character walk.
Character animator can surprise you like that.😁 There's usually an explanation if you dig deep enough.

There are free plans for most of the software, but they will not be sufficient if you want to create a lot of content.
It's clear you put a lot of effort in this but please stop using ai voices, they are painful to hear.
That's the goal. As soon as the channel is monitized, I can start paying actors
So you spend time doing the character movements,
Writing script, animating the eyes, feeding the dialogues, putting the layers together and sound production.
And the ai just mashes the random characters it produces and voices in the most momotonus tone.
If you learned how to draw , you might actually be able to animate exactly what you want since you are already doing all the work....
alternative way: get actual talent

ai "art" appals me.
never, make a tutorial if you are a creator (unless you create tutorials and thats all), it will be your most viewed video and it will screw your chances of people watching your original content on the same scale.
