Some of the best schools and colleges in the country. A jr high school student is on par with graduating students in other states.Food is excellent. The weather you learn to embrace the suck I guess. The cold and snow never bothered me much, but the damn wind. It’s always windy as hell. The home prices are getting crazy. Seemed to have doubled since 2019. Probably people moving out of NYC.
I agree with everything you said! Home prices are running rampant right now, we’re one of the “cheaper” markets in the US so it seems almost like our market is trying to “catch up” to the rest of the country. And yes, “embrace the suck” is a term we used just about every day in the Marine Corps, and boy does it apply to the weather here! It’s not the end of the world, but it sucks quite a bit haha. I appreciate your comment, let me know if there’s anything I can do for you!
I agree! I used to love winter sports, snowboarding at Bristol Specifically, but the weather in the past few years hasn’t been too Conducive of hitting the mountain. Bristol had a rough season this year
@@Livingflxandrochesterny We are retired. Although we loved the four seasons, wifey wanted to move to Florida. I would have preferred Maine or North Carolina, but happy wife, happy life. I don't get it, all she wants to do is go from one air conditioned location to another for six months of the year. It's just as easy to stay warm as it is to keep cool.
the wife and i were watching a lot of your videos because we were debating moving to Rochester, and even started calling agents in the area. we ended buying a house downstate but still enjoy your content!
I live in Rochester n6 like to get more information about the person with parkinson’s as I was recently diagnosed with that a neurologist and wants to compare with what they’re doing.
What ever you do think twice before you want to move to the city of Rochester. The city school system sucks big time.Student graduation rates are below forty percent, drug problems and fight are a daily occurrence. Serious crime problems is a daily occurrence with drive by shooting, car jackings, high speed car chases high taxes and a corrupt Democrat administration in charge of the city. The suburbs are like day and night but they are starting to have there problems also. The county where Rochester is located has some of the highest school, property and county taxes in the country. For the last ten years there has been a major exodus of taxpayers and businesses fleeing this state.please remember Rochester is a sanctuary city so your taxes get to pay for illegal immigrants invading our state thanks to the liberal corrupt Democrat administration. My family has lived here for over one hundred years and I am the last one still here.I stayed because my daughter was finishing nursing school and now I can make plans to leave and move south like my brother and sisters did seven years ago. They saved tens of thousands of dollars that they would have had to pay for state income taxes, school, county and property and sales taxes. They told me that I would be a fool to stay in this corrupt Democrat state that is robbing the taxpayers blind at every chance they can.Good paying jobs are few and far between do to the tax structure of this state. The winter here in Rochester suck you may compare it to living in Siberia. The restaurants are vary overly priced in the county and more of them are closing due to the high taxed environment of the county.Yes we do have vary good colleges in the Rochester area that cost a fortune to attend. Please remember New York is a Democratic welfare state and a majority of your taxes pay for the so called underprivileged population and the failed Democratic party policies that feed your hard earned taxes to be wasted on with no accountability or responsibility for these expenditures due to the corruption in the state administration. Sorry to hear that. Not sure how many people you’ve met from Rochester but more people are good than bad. Maybe you just got a bad part of roc, but sometimes you also have to look inward. I appreciate the comment!
You’re correct - people are leaving NY by the masses. That said, roughly 90k people relocate here each year. Seems like it’s more or less balancing things out - but there is a constant down tick in NY population
Just moved into state last year from Los Angeles CA. And it's like an utopia to me compared to CA. Where it's more and more become Gotham city for the illegals, homeless drug addiction to criminals heaven.
My entire extended family is from Rochester/Irondequoit/Greece areas. They are all the absolute worst people I have ever had the displeasure of knowing my entire 38 years of life. Half of them actually work for the state of New York and always complain about how terrible it is yet can’t figure out it’s because of what they themselves vote for. Thank the Lord my mother moved to Texas a few years before I was born.
Rochester is great I’m currently here. Lovely parks, people and food
I appreciate the comment! I agree!!

Rochester is not that bad, an affordable place to raise a family. If you like winter sports, it's paradise. I don't like winter sports, so it's hell.

Oh man!! You should’ve called me I would’ve loved to help! Up here, not all agents are created equal 😉
Thank you for endorsing Kamal Harris and her running mate!
Me!? I am the last person to support that ticket. Communism would be here before we know it. I’m actually offended by this comment 🤣
I used to haul a lot in and out of Rochester for Kodak, Xerox in Webster, GM plant. I’ve dealt with all kinds of weather there.
I fuckin love this channel
I appreciate that brother!! Id love to see some content on your channel too by the looks of your name and photo!!
That was nice. How you described the weather. You made me smile. It was good.

Crime in City of Rochester is Out of Control. Broad daylight shootings and insane drug problem.
Lived there for years, good part of my life but eventually was time to leave. Though I still miss The Old Toad.
True, I don’t know why people are paying so much more then the listed price. Man i am going to call you soon for the real estate.

What are the best suburbs with excellent schools and good diversity? Where do most of the middle or upper middle class Hispanic families live?
I would say Irondequoit, Gates, Greece, Henrietta, and Brighton are the most diverse with nice, safe areas.
Just move close to Westchester/White Plains better area for similar price.
Everyone I’ve met from there is rude asf. No thanks.

I never clicked after living there 20+ years. I moved out to Naples area, much better.
It's still better than CA 😂

Stay out of the city………
Unless you like your car stolen or carjacked or shot,
Crime is bad. Stay in the country.
