A super "under the radar" suburb that's AWESOME near Pittsburgh, is Bradfordwoods. Bradfordwoods is only about 20 minutes from downtown on the northwest side, and it's sooooooo pretty. Very wooded, very quiet, beautiful big trees, you'll feel like you're out of the chaos of a big city, but you're only 20ish minutes away. A true gem!
What you’re listing is outer parts of the city, not suburbs. Moon and Coraopolis are older descent places and more affordable. I’d avoid Oakdale as they get flooded a lot and it doesn’t take much water to make that happen. All state parks cost nothing to use. Good luck.
Excellent video. There are some walkable areas in the north hills - West View, for example is like a little slice of Pittsburgh's north side implanted into the north hills and surrounded by Ross Township. The reason why we slow down near the tunnels, is, its safer for all involved. The video is about Pittsburgh suburbs tho
You got the east all wrong. There is so much in the east. The south hills is like living in a cave that's hard to get out of.
Disagree the East is crappy but I agree with you on the South. It’s too damn crowded and maze like.
@@stephaniepersin4222 Disagree. Most of the cultural features, large and small, start at the Point and move east. The North Hills is an example of suburban sprawl at its worst -- giving developers free rein to destroy the watersheds building strip malls galore and large houses on unproportionally small properties.
@@trex3003 there is a lot of culture up 79 and these towns and cities were around well before any sprawl existed. Not everything is in the city. See Zelienople, Harmony and Butler.
Thank you i went to the hood by accident that couldve ended badly for me
I came from Baltimore. I'm not impressed and actually pretty disappointed.
I prefer the Lancaster Area
To each their own, but in terms of crime and safety, you've left one of the most dangerous cities for one of the safer ones.
@@Runescape_God I certainly can't tell...
@@josephhoneyblue3847 Subjective observations are one thing, objective data is another.
@@Runescape_God So is Personal Experience is what ... Subjective or Objective 🤔 My opinion is not based on perception or other people's opinions but my own actual experiences.
Does that data include the police not working 3-7 am. And you Data is from the last census, so actually your "data" is incorrect because it's almost 4 years old.
So, sorry, I'll take my personal experiences over you "data" anyway 🤔
@@josephhoneyblue3847your opinion IS based on perception, via personal experiences. Yes, the no police response in those hours is stupid, agreed. And data is not wrong because it is outdated. We can wait for the next round of data and it’ll still show to be a safer city than Baltimore, but that’s not saying much.
North Hills: sidewalks to nowhere !
Please suggest ideal residential location for working at form energy 84 Pennsylvania Pittsburg
Live about 20 miles south of Pittsburgh, it’s an old city but the city does offer entertainment if you want to fight traffic and pay for parking. Enjoy the scenic drive in with garbage along the road ways.
This girl does not know what she is talking about, fox chapel and shaler are different school districts
You really sugarcoated the east!!!
I came I saw I left never to return
Born and raised here and will never leave..
You are not missed. Believe it.
Smart person.
Good riddance.
I really want to come back and live in Pittsburgh preferably murrysville in west Moreland county
I can't stand videos where the poster can't stand to be off screen for more than a few seconds. I came to see about Pittsburgh, not watch a 36 minute vanity selfie.
The word button is pronounced b u t t o n, not bu inn. Don’t forget the letter “ T”. It’s imporTant or it would not be included in the spelling of the word buTTon.
It’s Pittsburghese.
@@jeffallen4377 yuck, does not sound educated
West View, Belleview, Avalon, for example, are all in the North Hills and all "walkable", like with any neighborhood, depending upon which street you reside. Additionally, those same areas, as well as parts of Ross Twp and the neighborhoods around those neighborhoods, are older. Much like the South Hills, the closer to the city, the older the neighborhood. The further north or south, the more recently built out/expanded. You also missed the entire 28N corridor, (Millvale, Etna, Sharpsburg, Aspinwall).
