This is accurate.
My brother will do this to me and I get him back. You see, there is a light RIGHT next to his bed, but the light-switch is on the other side of the room, next to the door. If he REALLY pissed me off that day, I turn on the light a little after bedtime. When he has just settled into bed, his eyes just adjusting to the dark, I turn on the light.
I turn it off too, I won't make him get out of bed but his annoyed cries of anguish when his eyes hurt from the light are worth it.
