You're absolutely right - I can see myself falling endlessly down the presets' "rabbit holes'!!🤣 I love it all, and ever grateful to BLTV for bringing Optics to my attention!
#1 - Boris Optics is in the Top 2 Photoshop plugins, without question - just Stellar #2 - the guy giving this presentation was so jittery and unsure of himself, it was just painful to listen to him. Either: I have him work on his presentation skills, or find someone that is much smoother at delivering video presentation Again, absolutely fantastic product
There are a few different filters that produce different glows. Some will allow you to move the effects around, eg Rays or Relight. S_Glow is based off the brightest pixels and can't be moved in that way.
How can we view side x side images with the Original/Before on the left & After on the right? I read left to right and it's more intuitive to have what's changing on the right portion of the workspace. But I can't figure out how to set that up. Thx!
If you turn on the little screen icon under the effects controls, you can change the order of the Before/After. If you only have two to compare, just click the top effect screen off then back on again. It will slot over onto the right for you.
@@BorisFXco Thank you! It took me a little bit to figure out it was the Effect Layers Stack Layer where I was supposed to click the screen icon. I thought it was supposed to be under the diagrams for the diff. views. But now I've got it! :-) Next, I'll see if it holds from layer to layer vs just the layer where I set it. I'm hoping it will hold as if it was a Preference setting...
Optics is simply mind-blowing! Brings Photoshop to a whole other level.
Wholeheartedly agree!
I love this plug in. Worth every penny.

That's great to hear. I'm glad Blue Lightning brought you here too. Enjoy Optics!
Bought the program yesterday and am loving it! Looking forward to seeing more tutorials and other videos on Optics!
Have fun! It's been quite a learning curve for me.
More to come in the near future!
Fantastic. We need more instructional videos like this!
Thanks so much for the comment. We're excited to do more like this in the future too.
Loving it so far, would love to be able to transfer masks out to Photoshop.
This is top of the feature requests list for the next version!
Holy crap! Ozone!!!!!
A connoisseur, I see :)

thanks so much for this....one question...could you have moved the glow effect in the picture or is this still central located?

I can't seem to make sun rays that look realistic. Any tutorials on it? Thank You.
Are you looking for a "God rays" type of effect? Something like this? : ruclips.net/video/WQomrZHb91c/видео.html
I couldn’t find “smoke” as an option anywhere. Did I miss it? Or will you be adding it?
In the Render category you'll find S_Clouds. That can be a great starting point for smoke.
@@BorisFXco OK. Thank you!
