I love the presentation style, i.e. teaching by working on a small project and introducing tools as they’re needed. It let’s a viewer follow along, which burns things into their brain, and easily go back to see something again because they know roughly where a tool or setting was used. I find too many presenters describe the GUI layout and entire sets of tools and shortcuts without doing anything, after which I don’t remember a thing and have wasted my time. Subscribed.

Hi Jonathan, I have a question about modeling arcs with precision. I am modeling a tool for my bycicle. I need a wrench-type tool for my suntour suspension. The suntour original is plastic and I can't afford the original, but I've seen them 3D printed for much cheaper. The tool has an array of splines around a circle. I have the measurements, but I need to model specific angle and lenght arcs, and then turn them into cylinder based shapes. I am having trouble finding info online about how to model arcs in any precise manner. Any help would be appreciated. I can share my current blender model if you'd like to see what I've done so far. It's a non manifold, face intersecting nightmare.

I'm more than happy to help you our moradan81, first of all it's going to be much easier to help you if you join my discord and secondly here is a link to a post on making arcs and I currently don't have a video on it. blender.stackexchange.com/questions/6023/how-to-make-a-circular-array-using-offset-object-as-center
On discord i'm more than happy to help out and take a look at your model and see what I can do to help out.

@@Keep-Making of course was only kidding haha.
Really good and clear tutorials. I'm quite a long term user of blender and I still find this video useful, as it gives a good overview

I'm so glad you think it brings value. I was scared I might be making a video to a topic that is some times over covered or over complicated in youtube blender videos

@@Keep-Making personally I think the more of such videos there are the better. Sure might be overcovered, but such basics should be in my opinion. It's similar to those donut vids. Maybe overcovered and maybe it would better to use another example, however having variation is always good, especially if it's as clear and well presented as yours.
So keep up the good work :)
Tho, it is my opinion, so it may oder may not against what the youtube algorithm considers good haha

Do you have any recommendations for a good mouse to use with Blender? Thank you (please give my comment a thumbs up so I am notified if you respond)

Hey Hans, Sure thing. I don't know if it's a "good" one for everyone. But I use this one here Logitech M570 Trackman : geni.us/kOJgSG
I used to have very bad carpal tunnel due to the amount of computer design I do and I found this mouse working great for me.
