This tutorial series just gets better and better. You are a gifted teacher, one can tell you are extremely well organized and methodical, which is obviously what it takes to do precision solid modeling and CAD making. I have been using Blender to sculpt for about 15 years (no kidding) yet frustrated with lack of precision and waiting for this kind of instruction because this is exactly the kind of thing I want to be able to do with Blender, precise mechanical parts, 3D printing and cutting. Learning so much.
I'm so glad I've been able to help Eric, just be aware that the updated course in my opinion is even better ruclips.net/p/PL6Fiih6ItYsXzUbBNz7-IvV7UJYHZzCdF
Hey man just wanted to say how useful your videos have been. I had no idea how to start and most blender videos I saw definitely did not have an emphasis on precision and were more about just making pretty looking objects. I'm learning blender to design watch cases, for which precision is everything. Thanks so much for making this videos...!!!
Man, before you showed how to use insets, I was extruding and later scaling, but it didn't allow me to put a size in mm (instead I had to use a % based value). This alone made my day! Thank you so much for this tutorial series.
I'm here from the future. Blender 2.91 booleans will finally deal correctly with those coincident faces at 18:28 in exact mode. Regardless, awesome video, great pace, good focus, very enjoyable to watch and pick up little tips and tricks.
@@Keep-Making I'd think that wouldn't hurt. You'd neither be the first nor the only one to cover it, but I do think there's enough of a difference in 2.91+, particularly pertaining to percision modeling, that's it worth doing it in your own style, with the focus on precision modeling. Looking forward to it!
Amazing! I just viewed the precision modelling playlist and was confused when the CAD addon suddenly appeared. Maybe you want to move the CAD addon videos to this playlist?
Hey ShoeOffHead,, Thanks for point out that it was a little jarring. I did reference more info in the video but I can see how a mini little video of CAD transforms could be useful in the playlist. I'm worried about putting the VERY long CAD addon video into the playlist as It can be quite overwhelming when just getting into the 3D workflow. Still Thank you very much for pointing it out & I'm so glad you're enjoying the series.
@@Keep-Making Wasn't really confusing. Just told me that I missed some videos ;) Keep up the amazing work! Looking forward to real project videos with precision modelling :D
@@shoeoffhead3692 Ya i'm really looking forward to getting into some pretty awesome projects. I'm going to start small-ish and then started to go in and out of complicated builds. And thank you! I love that your enjoying it
Hey Python Noobies, I gather you're talking about CAD transforms. I'm sorry I forgot to mention it's an addon to install. Here is a link to my in-depth video of the addon: ruclips.net/video/TWEoZghkalc/видео.html

No problem Bruno, I'm so happy that i've been able to help you out.
Great 1
Alt+Z is X-ray; Shift+Z is wireframe. :)

Oh man kim!
That is beautiful!
I'm wondering if I should make the update series on the beta version. SOOOO many useful little updates.

in order to make Ctrl + [-] (minus) or Ctrl + Shift + [-] to work, you have to activate Bool Tools in Addons (Edit -> Preferences -> Add-ons)

I can't find the CAD icon addon in the list blender in order to use it in precision movement.
