SPIKED by an Echidna!

- On this adventure Mark is in Western Australia for the first time tracking down a living spike ball and one of Australia’s most endangered species.
First, he shows you why it’s not a good idea to hold Australia’s spikiest creature, as he's spiked by the Echidna! Covered from head to tail with thick spines this animal’s self-defense gives Mark a hand full of pain trying to present its other interesting features.
Then he sets off to find one of the last living relatives of the extinct Tasmanian Tiger, the Numbat. Will he find one? Watch and find out!
Do you have any endangered species that live by you? If so, tell us about them in the comments and what you would do to save them from going extinct. Who knows, depending on your idea we might come out to film an adventure with you!

Love these darn video's, never knew I'd be so interested in this sort of stuff. It really opened my eyes to the possibility of working with animals.
pin of truth
Work both with and FOR the animals. =3
yes
What an over dramatized channel. so many other videos of other people picking them up without wincing. What a joke.
Knuckles getting mad
Fun fact: echidnas have 4 headed dicks
Coz sonic fight him
Mark stole his master emerald
Bro got betrayed by Dr eggman
Okay.
I love that Mark immediately defaulted to "Knuckles" for it's name. Put a grin on my face along with seeing that adorable Echidna's face!
Knuckles is a video game character from "Sonic the Hedgehog".
@@hi3080 Oh I know trust me, I grew up playing the Sonic, especially Sonic and Knuckles & Sonic Adventures 2, and him defaulting to Knuckles and the connection between the two things is what made me smile.
Imagine living your life as an echidna and this guy comes sprinting out "YES!!"
And then you get fondled from the bottom
😂😂
NOO
exactly my thoughts
Can’t really imagine it considering the animals brain is instinct alone
Remember, to prevent being spiked by them, the most important thing to remember is: To stay away from their emerald
Their chaos one to be more specific
@@aziatouchsilent8507actually: their master one

Mark: "This animal has some of the best hearing in Australia...which is why we have to be so quiet."
Also Mark: *"YESSS!"*
Also "AAAGGH" "UGH" "OW" "OW OW OW!!!!!"
1:10 even hurt my ears .. wtf
7:40,
He just met Knuckles in real life 🤣
I've always liked echidnas. They're fascinating, even among monotremes.
Fun fact: a baby echidna is called a 'puggle'.

Came for the knuckles the echidna references.... was not disappointed.
keep up the good work guys 😅
thank you!
@@BraveWilderness hi I like the snake video letting you know we do have 2 venomous snakes
I'm surprised Mark didn't mention the fact that those spikey little mammals lay eggs lol
Also not gonna lie. My fat a$$ wonders what echidna and platypus eggs would taste like lol
@@norrock1tastes like egg
@@elijahfranklin5337how do u know that 😐

They're more like reptile eggs than bird eggs, so it's not like you can just peel them or crack them for an omelet.
How could something so sharp be so cute?!
It's looks like a bigger, brown coloured hedgehog to me..
Awesome video, Mark! Very interesting and beautiful animals.
This guy was my childhood I just found his channel again and I'm glad he's still popular and making videos
@@Muwufox coyote still makes videos tho
That echidnas face is so precious and it seems so shy I wonder if they look up to knuckles the hedgehog ❤

Knuckles is an echidna.. not a hedgehog....

I think Knuckles doesn't know da wae...
I didn’t expect Mark to actually mention Knuckles the Echidna XD
Don’t we all appreciate the work he puts in for he risk his life

Hopefully doesn't smell like 1

Gotta love seeing Knuckles irl. Such a cool creature
Wow Mark! I'm 12 years old and I've always wanted to be a scientist but after watching all of your guy's videos have showed me how beautiful and astonishing our Wildlife is, I'm so going to be a zoologist, and that Ehcidna is One Wild looking animal.
@MAKOUPROUD im older than both of you and im not sure what iwant to be but id rather not work at all
Just work towards it enough, put enough work into something and it will probably come true.

We have a lot of adorable native animals in Australia, but I honestly forget how adorable echidnas are. So adorable, yet so spikey.
Australia has a lot of deadly creatures, but it also has a lot of adorable little buggers.
Lets have a Tiger Adventure collaboration!! That’s gonna be a Thriller!!
Knock knock it’s knuckles
"You little spike ball" was the 3rd thing you wanted to call him! Im pretty sure I know what the first two were 😂
This was a great video Mark! The echidna is a cute animal and you should have left your gloves on…..you would have been more comfortable. Maybe you should have brought it some termites 😊. The other animal was awesome too. I just love the adventures you guys go on and I can’t wait for the next one! Take care and enjoy your holiday weekend! 😄💙🐬🐊🐍🫶🏼

I love echidnas. Most people dont realize you can pet them (go down their back with your hand, like with a hedgehog, or for anyone who has not handled spiked friends like you would pet a dog or cat down along their back).
Makes sense...
bro will have the greatest stories to tell his grand kids
Won’t have to tell his grandkids if it’s all on video
naughty knuckles the echidna
knuckles is sharp as hell
It’s Knuckles
Brave Wilderness always risks their lives to entertain us that how much they love us❤

While I LOVE the videos....I don't see how holding an echidna is risking their life?
Bit of a stretch saying they're risking their life...
You think they do it for you? 😂
@@MassantiMuller-bo5wl bro they do why do you think they are making videos of wild creatures
So this essentially looks like a large hedgehog.
Can we all appreciate that how he spends his 24 hours to entertain us ❤️✨😊🌹.
lol
We drive round Dryandra to see and photograph the Numbats. Always a challenging day, but they are amazing creatures and so worth the effort. As for the echidna, find one, wait for it to waddle along and get down on the floor in front of it for an epic image

10% cuteness

You better not mess with Knuckles or else he’ll break your hand.
I've been coming across a bunch of echidna related videos lately, they are pretty cute.
Your coyote Peterson 2.0
Is it "KOYOTT" (like Scott) or "KAYOWDEE" ?
No coyote Peterson the one before him
I love your videos the videos like catching ceatures in tidepools, getting stung or bit by insects and making a tide pool aquarium but my favorite videos is you getting bitten and stung by a leafcutter soldier ant and bullet ant I love your channel because you've have experienced many things ❤
Keep up the good video 💯

Knuckles....?😂
Lake Talquin, Next to Tallahassee Florida, has a high population of alligator snapping turtles. I've unintentionally caught maybe half a dozen of them while fishing. I have a video of one that was very big. Probably 50 + pounds. If coyotes wants to catch big snappers, he should come to Lake Talquin.
Yep, I used to go there. Lived in Tallahassee almost 5 years!
Echidnas are literally easy as hell to find in Australia. Just be anywhere near bushland and find them on park walking trails.
But I'd personally never ever pick one up 😂 ouch.
I've grown up with y'all's channel and I still watch y'all. All of y'all have taught me so much and I am proud of how far y'all have come.

Sentence to y’all ratio: 2:4
Does this mean Tails would pee on Knuckles😂😂😂
This man deserves 2 medals: 1 for being bitten the most, 1 for being alive after being bitten, stung, etc. for many times.
He deserves the Nobel Prize for fuckwittery
Imagine just grabbing a spiked ball, especially bc it’s moving. Just one thorn, splinter, quill, shard, etc hurts, and the guy took his gloves off😂crazy
Nice to see Mark carrying legacy 😅
I'm gonna nickname that thing the Land Urchin
yup!
No one’s gonna talk about how he picked up the poop😭😭
foxes are the echidna's only predator... tails really is mis placed in the games! hedgehogs and echidnas and even rabbits... he travels with a buffet!
5:07 His little nose is sticking out in almost perfect center of the screen! LOL how ridiculously cute!!
And that's why kids you should never steal the Master Emerald
What a cute little animal, one of the myriad different ones on the planet. The diversity of life is breathtaking. This little guy was trying hard to protect itself and I don't blame him!
Ain't no way my main man knuckles is up in here
The numbat is the state emblem of Western Australia. They used to inhabit half the state, as well as most of South Australia. Dryandra is pretty much their last refuge. Most West Aussies will never see their own state emblem outside of a zoo. Far too many other native species have suffered the same losses.
Why don’t you get to think of a plan and a suggestion and creating a RUclips Videos and a Show all about visiting to WildLife Asia and see some Real Live Tigers, the Big Cats of Asia on the next Brave Wilderness coming up next?!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍👍👍👍👍
I love it! Great idea
Although Echidnas are relatively hard to find, almost everyone in Australia will see one at some point. What this encounter didn’t show, is how they waddle around while they move from A to B. They’re a beautiful creature and quite elusive.
Nature: Creates pointy spines
Humans: Hehe, I'm gonna touch it >:)

It's not where I live but it's in Canada, the Spotted Owl is endangered

Why are you disturbing the poor animal...just let it be!
There's a company trying to resurrect Thylacine (Tassy Tiger). Colossal I believe the company is called. There are also a few alleged sightings quite recently, and some experts still believe a small number may still survive in extremely remote locations.
I really like your videos it's very entertaining, also those echidnas looks like an animal version of a cactus
She’s not radioactive bro. Much respect to Mark

@Brave Wilderness , Coyote check out the Megalara garuda wasp, its sting isnt know to science, potientially a new challenger for the King of sting throne
Love these videos, and I’m not hating at all, but just curious. Do y’all think the process where they “find” these animals in the wild are genuine or set up?
Knuckles and Tails switched color by mistake. Clearly Knucles should be yellow and Tails should be red. :p
I love that youre showing off Australia.. Its pretty sad that the Tasmanian Tiger is extinct and the Numbat is so rare. I wish spider species were endangered really instead.
