Very impressive comparison and great vid. Did you use smart controller on both drones? I noticed on m2ea hd link drops strength a bit for something rated for 10km?
The Dual was being flown with the standard controller connected via cable to iPhone. The Smart Controller was being flown with the smart controller. Wrt the signal strength it needs some more testing. We were near a strong antenna and high power lines.
My personal Smart Controller (used in this test) needs a rest as its very full and it's been doing it while I fly my other drones as well. It is NOT a reflection of the M2EA giving laggy signal. As for range and signal strengh. We were flying at minus up 15m altitude with no line of sight (hence the lower signal strenth). You can check out my video where I tested my Mavic 2 Pro's range with my Smart Controller. I flew 7km and back for a total of just over 14km round trip. This was done with good line of sight ofcourse. I could have gone further, but I would have ran out of battery on the way back :P.
Hello Excellent video. Is it posible to locate a Fawn (baby deer) laying in a grass field with the advanced?? Could U try to make a video of U have the Advanced still?
If the baby dear is not covered by a tree or foalage then yes it will definitely work. I do not have the advanced anymore, however if you watch my other Advanced videos you'll see that it really is a powerful tool.
Have they fixed the Issue with The DJI analysis tool export and reporting? It also had a zoom issue where there was a difference between what was on the screen and what was saved on the SD card?
I honestly do not know that sorry. My unit didnt have the Zoom issue - must have been a firmware issue. I've never used the DJI analysis tool as it was only used for security.
Nice video, folks! What about the issue with the saved pictures not being zoomed in, which I saw in some other video, about the Advanced Enterprise Dual? Can it save the zoomed in pictures properly, as you see them when you take, or is that guy doing something very, very wrongly? Can you access your zoomed in pics with the Advanced, be it in the visible and IR spectrum?
Remember you "Zoomed" pics are just digitally zoomed... so it will be exactly the same quality as zooming in on a picture once you've downloaded it to your device/pc. The entrprise dual does not have a optical zoom. So it dow not make a difference. Just zoom in from you gallery.
@@InfinityDrones So we need to do some photoshop editing work before we deliver our pics for our customer, then, right? I saw that guy complaining about it, after all, the Advanced Enterprise Dual is not something cheap, I am new to the drone world, IDK how most of them manage their pictures, if them all save the hi-res pic and in the end one must edit them all from high res images, or if the pictures we took appear as we saw them when we took them? Thanks a lot!
@@danielduarte6149 no sir, no photoshop needed. Let me try and explain. When you take a 12 mexapixel and zoom in later on your phone / device. That's a digital zoom.
@@danielduarte6149 no sir, no photoshop needed. Let me try and explain. When you take a 12 mexapixel and zoom in later on your phone / device. That's a digital zoom. Digital zoom is just fake zoom...
@@InfinityDrones Thanks a lot for the reply! That, I can understand. But the Enterprise Dual Advanced advertises optical zoom 4x, if I'm not mistaken, whats with that old guy video complaining about the advanced version, is he doing something wrong or what? He gets into this digital/optical zoom subject. I can bring the link if you don't mind.
It depends on your use for the UAV. If you want to do mapping, stick to the dual. The advanced RTK doesn't work on mine, and the mapping software on the smart controller is dumbed down compared to GS Pro and the Dual.
GS Pro on the Dual? Ground Station? The original Dual uses a normal mavic controller and GPS and Glonass, the same as the Enterprise Dual. If you are saying your RTK is not working on your Enterprise Advanced then it sounds like you either have a faulty port on your Enterprise Advanced or a faulty RTK module. Also, you can load Pix4d Capture and Drone Deploy on your Smart controller to use different software. You can even use Litchi. The Enterprise Dual's camera is basically the same as the original Mavic Air's, so if you're looking for a mapping drone other than the Enterprise Advanced you need to look at the Phantom 4 Advanced/Pro or RTK. Hell even a normal Mavic 2 Pro would give high quality mapping quaility. The Enterprise Dual is basically only useful for inspections and if you can use the speaker and flashlight attachements.
@@InfinityDrones I'm referring to the Enterprise Dual. The normal mavic controller can run GS Pro, the smart controller can't. Nor can the smart controller run Pix4d Capture or Drone Deploy, you are incorrect, I believe. As for the RTK, I may have a faulty module, but can't get an answer, as of yet. Why put RTK on a UAV if the mapping software is crap? I like the Mavic 2 Enterprise platform and have a need for Thermal, and the other modular accessories. I am a crash reconstructionist in law enforcement.
@@robertoleksy1191 I'm running Pix4dcapture and Drone Deploy on my Smart Controller... I just had to load the apk files manually. As for the the GS, you can still use a normal mavic 2 controller with the Enterprise advanced. I really recommend sending your RTK module to get checked out, that would give you amazing mapping accuracy. As for the thermal and crash reconstruction... The Duals thermal resolution is so low... Not sure if it would be any good. The advanced thermals resolution is miles better.
@@InfinityDrones Yes, the dual has poor thermal, I have one, as well. The regular Mavic controller gives a constant "Disconnected from Aircraft" error when connected, and DJI says not to do it. It may or may not stay connected, not a good thing. I would definitely like more info on using Pix4dcapture, they told me it wasn't supported.
@@robertoleksy1191 Mmm, maybe the normal controller would need a firmware update... sneaky DJI. With regards to installing/sideloading apps on the smart controller. Check this out: ruclips.net/video/k3HDK-ahkaM/видео.html
Hi there, really sorry man... but you cannot swapout the camera. I really do recommend putting your Dual on the market and getting it sold before it looses too much value.
I was the pilot of the Dual.
Thanks Gerhard for coming out had great fun and great vid!
Glad you enjoyed it! It was really a great experience to compare these two drones!

DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual is good for Thermal Analysis in Photovoltaic Farms? for georreferencing?
Yes, you can even get the RTK module to very accurate measurements.

They really have improved the drone in just a few years ! I wonder what drones we will have after 10 years 😀
Yeah! This thing is SOOOOO much better than the original Dual. It's camera does a lot of the same things the really expensive M300 can do.
