    Some good info here. Just curious if you have more info on the M2EA? The thermal does have an Alert Mode so you can get an alarm on the RC when it finds a temperature that you can preset. I can somewhat understand how it works. Also there is a Gain Mode. Which change the range of the themal resolution. Do you have anymore info on those modes? I cant find much instructions or reviews on youtube that cover these modes. It seems most reviews ppl put out were more of a race to get a review out without some ppl not actually knowing all the ins and out. Anyway, good vid once again. Would appreciate any other

    Nice video and thank you for sharing. Do you realize how lucky you got with that bird? at 0:57, look in the lower right of the screen. He came out of the light pole that you were spotting and he was looking at you. Good "business decision" on his part not to attack🙂 For your zoom comparisson, I'm okay with it, but be aware that there is a huge difference in long range vs short range zoom. Zooming in from short ranges can make things grainy, but from longer ranges, it may be "good enough". Well done and very informative video. I'm thinking about the DJI Mavic 3 Thermal.

    the reason why the drone is drifting like it is is not cause of the wind. its cause the IMU, the compass and the vision sensors are not calibrated properly. you need to do the vision sensors on the pc with the dji assistant 2 software. just look for your modiel in the description

    Good video! Technical Note...at 11:41 you show in your web address Terrestrial without an "r" between the "t" and the "i?" Is that correct? ...or should it be "terrestrial" with an "r" between the "t" and the "i?"

    Ok so when you take a zoomed in picture with the thermal on the Mavic 3 do you get the same zoomed in picture on the memory card?

    • @TerrestrialImaging
      @TerrestrialImaging  4 месяца назад

      you do! Just make sure you have thermal photos selected for saving. On your main camera view on the top left area where the camera settings are you should see the text 'C V I' click that text and make sure the thermal, current view, and visible sensors are checked. If the thermal sensor is not checked it will not save photos from that sensor when you click the picture button

    Nice review ! I have a question regarding lateral flights for PV inspections. Since the gimbal cannot freely move min 90 degrees does the drone has this option to switch lines and to keep the camera vertical on the pv panels ? Basicly only to move from roll and pitch when switching mapping lines.

      When doing a grid mission the camera is going to be fixed nadir (downward) the entire time. When doing an oblique mission (3D) you can customize the camera angle during certain legs of the mission. When doing waypoints however, you can completely customize the camera angle, aircraft yaw, etc. for each specific waypoint. When flying manually you can actually yaw the camera left and right by holding down your finger on the screen until a blue circle shows up, then you can drag the circle left or right to slightly yaw the camera.

    I know they just look more yellow, but is there anyway to test if you can see a difference between a metal container with people in it? Would the heat difference show up on the camera?

    • @TerrestrialImaging
      @TerrestrialImaging  Год назад

      Hm, I'm not really sure. If you had people inside of a metal container, your going to be reading the temperature of the metal, not the people inside. And if the metal was hotter than the people inside due to direct sunlight, I'm not sure youd ever be able to tell.

    In either the Mavic 2 or the 3, can you adjust the temperature scale in-flight to highlight measurements in a specific temperature range? I know it can be done post-flight with the thermal analysis tool, but I'm curious about real-time.

    • @TerrestrialImaging
      @TerrestrialImaging  Год назад

      Yes, this can be done in real time by using the isotherm feature. You can choose the temperature range and it will only show you those objects.

    • @TerrestrialImaging
      @TerrestrialImaging  Год назад +1

      Both the Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced and Mavic 3 Thermal are capable of following grid missions and collecting images for photogrammetry. The models just won't be as good as a drone with an optimal camera.

      @@TerrestrialImaging I also saw that the RTK module on the Mavic3 Thermal works not as good as the RTK module on the Mavic 3 Enterprise or Mavic 2 Enterprise advanced because they both have a mechanical shutter. The RTK module of the thermal works not very accurate , can differ 10CM. So then the advise would be to not use the Mavic 3 Thermal for precise mapping?
