    TPS:
Josh S. "On TPS you can make them backwards compatible as well. Had a 96 J30 with a bad tps and couldn't source a new style tps, so I took the throttle body off a 91 NA and wired in the obd1 connectors on the obd2 harness. The J30 had an idle of 2000rpm with bad tps and wouldn't rev over 4500. Now it idles normally and revs like a champ. Only difference in wiring is the obd2 has a WOT signal wire while the obd1 does not. There is a 3rd pin on the obd1 tps so just used a same style pin and pinned it up with the obd2 harness."
I did not include dremeling for new injectors.
    Hope this helps!

I am very impressed that you found a decently clean 2k slicktop and try to follow your build when I can :) If you do run into problems, I don't forsee it being anything more than lightly opening up the plenum throttle body ports to match. No worries there.
I actually have both plenums still, and TBs might come off tonight. If I take off the TBs again, I will test them for you and report back. If not, then make sure to reply in the future if you run into a problem

Thanks. I'm in the process of shaving a series 1 plenum that I plan to use on my 2k slicktop.

If you're thinking about 96' TB with the OBDII TPS, it should fit.
Just be aware that the 96' TB uses extended bolts on the right side.
90-95 TBs are otherwise the same, with differences only being between NA and TT.
I am unaware of any other issues.

why would anyone want to switch out this part when its not a huge difference in proformance?because of looks? Preference? whats the hp and torque gains from changing them out?

The 95' wiring harness will not have the correct connectors for early style injectors.
The 95' plenum will not work with the 91 engine if you need to use EGR.

Will late model TB's fit early model plenum?

So if I have a 1990 NA and a 90 TT. Could I use the NA plenum on a TT?
