Tongues are languages. The unknown tongues is languages that were unknown to the jews and that's why they needed an interpreter. Tongues is not some sort of jibberish nonsense.
Paul calls "tongues" the unknown tongue " that no man knoweth"( 1Cor.14:2).
If it's a language that no man knows, then it's not a language native to this world.
@@robertnieten7259 You are being deceived. An unknown tongue is a language that they didn't know and that's why they needed an interpreter. TONGUES are languages. What Bible are you quoting from? Because if you're quoting from any other Bible that not the AUTHORIZED King James Bible you're quoting from a Bible that comes from the Vatican (The ENEMY of Jesus Christ and Christians) SATAN DECEIVES THE WHOLE WORLD, BECAREFUL.

@TwRitchie888 Paul also said," When i pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.."( 1Cor.14:14).
Paul is speaking of himself praying and its' source being his spirit.
Why would Paul pray in a language during private prayer that required interpretation ?
When we pray in our native language ,it's source is our mind that quickly assembles the words that we want to speak. But, if the source of our prayer is our spirit, no Interpreter is needed because it is our spirit interceding for us.
This is only made possible by our having recieved the Holy Spirit that makes it possible.
The source I use is the King James Bible.
@@robertnieten7259 TONGUES are languages and nothing more. God knows who's telling the truth the spirit of truth in me also bearing me witness. When you have the Holy Ghost He will guide you into all truth. He is not the author of confusion. Once again TONGUES are simply languages.
