American soldier: high explosives, aerial warfare, inability to comprehend basic math, willingness to engage in extreme violence to prove he's right despite being very much in the wrong Russian soldier: Push
In the Soldier's defence, if the hinges were on his side with the door flush to the frame, then the door should have been a pull from that direction xD
I feel like Soldier realized around the 0:30 mark that the door did not in fact "work both ways", but was too proud to admit that he was wrong, so he went through all the trouble of forcing it to pull open.
I really love the shot of Scout taking the briefcase. The way the motion was timed to the music sting and the briefcase bumping the mug on the desk, making it slide. It's the little things in animation. Great work.
Every shot and frame matters when it comes to animation. In liveaction you can film whatever, but when it's 2D or 3D animation, people put the effort in because they need to
I like how soldier did all of that just to prove a point. Though I'm not surprised knowing soldiers behavior when talking to heavy. Nice animation btw.
The way Soldier says, “What? No. Nooo,” sounds so real, like he’s trying so hard to convince himself he’s right. Some of the best usage of their AI voices I’ve seen
I’ve never laughed harder, this vid is single handedly the most creative peace and the tf2 heavy and soldier make it all the better with their expressions
This feels inline with soldier's character, refusing to accept he would be wrong and outright ripping the door off its hinges just to prove he was correct.
i like how sword is so hilariously eloquent in this compared to his canon version, you ALMOST think he's actually being intelligent for a second and then you realize he's breaking the door by forcing it open the wrong way. priceless.
The funniest thing is, when you look at the door and how it is installed, you actually need to pull since the hinges are on Soldiers side. So Soldier was right Unless the door actually does go both ways
how do you only have 500 subs, this is so good. not just the animation, but the plot and scene framing too, all of it is so good, you need more attention dude, this is gold
I see this at my work at a grocery store a lot. Customers go through the wrong automatic door when entering or exiting, so they just force open the door the other way.
This is like saying "you too" to the cashier or waiter in a high end restaurant, then spending all your money to not only pay for their food, but also their shift for the day untaxed because you didn't wanna look dumb
The long look of puzzlement and concern on heavy's face lmfao
Thats just gold
2 good😂
This was amazing!
Lol
Yup.
Soldier slowly forcing the door open was both entertaining and disturbing. Felt like years passed, 10/10.
It works both ways! =D
Longer than you think.
@@blandragny9152 this sentence sound very creepy and disturbing, it also has a deep meaning to it.
This looks good, I think
@@astroboy512Not sure if you're joking but it's a reference to Emesis Blue.
The confusion and terror in Heavy's eyes was priceless
This fits Soldier so well, refusing to try pushing and instead breaking the door lol
Alternative title: Russian soldier witnesses the chaotic nature of an American soldier.
That's lore right there
the american military is just a bunch of college kids.
American soldier: high explosives, aerial warfare, inability to comprehend basic math, willingness to engage in extreme violence to prove he's right despite being very much in the wrong
Russian soldier: Push

Wait...why are they same team on
ctf_bakhmut
I’m on soldier’s side. if there is a handle, it is a pull door.
Soldier refuses to look stupid, so he causes property damage to cover it up
And thats the why theres no doors on all of the maps, soldier you fool.
Lets be honest. We all pulled on a Push door once
More like multiple lmao
Once?
I have never found a push door that didn't work both ways
How? All the push doors I’ve seen either have that flat piece of metal where a knob would be, or those wide push bars
we? ahahahah , We!
ahahahah
In the Soldier's defence, if the hinges were on his side with the door flush to the frame, then the door should have been a pull from that direction xD
And the handle was a pull handle!
@@Guhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what s the difference between a pull and push handle?
@@PugVO A push handle is not able to be pulled, it’s more of a metal plate
@@Guhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Damn door contractors
Yeah that's the one thing that doesn't make sense here, the door couldn't go the other direction
Lmfao
I feel like this is lore accurate to the soldier
I feel like Soldier realized around the 0:30 mark that the door did not in fact "work both ways", but was too proud to admit that he was wrong, so he went through all the trouble of forcing it to pull open.
I really love the shot of Scout taking the briefcase. The way the motion was timed to the music sting and the briefcase bumping the mug on the desk, making it slide. It's the little things in animation. Great work.
It especially makes the animator happy when you notice those details
Every shot and frame matters when it comes to animation.
In liveaction you can film whatever, but when it's 2D or 3D animation, people put the effort in because they need to
I like how soldier did all of that just to prove a point. Though I'm not surprised knowing soldiers behavior when talking to heavy.
Nice animation btw.
Well, the enemy really did steal their intelligence
This plays out like a horror film and I love it
The way Soldier says, “What? No. Nooo,” sounds so real, like he’s trying so hard to convince himself he’s right. Some of the best usage of their AI voices I’ve seen
this is really well animated, funny and actually seems like something that would happen in the tf2 universe
I love how absolutely unsettled and disturbed Heavy looks as he watches Soldier literally TEAR the door off it's hinges.
Just finished watching Emesis Blue, and maybe it's just the confirmation bias talking
But that stare Soldier gave Heavy gave me the vibes
I was expecting this to transition into the Meet the Spy scene where Heavy knocks the door down out of frustration with Soldier
Soldier's smile of reassurance, as if he's like "see, Sputnik? We're getting there!"
0:30 the last thing people who were stuck in that sub heard
Those facial expressions are so good, you can use them as reaction images.
This is one of those things that make me think my humor is broken, i don't understand why i find this so hilarious.
I’ve never laughed harder, this vid is single handedly the most creative peace and the tf2 heavy and soldier make it all the better with their expressions
This is the kind of content that makes the TF2 community timeless
This feels inline with soldier's character, refusing to accept he would be wrong and outright ripping the door off its hinges just to prove he was correct.
Gotta love the ''i think you should leave'' reference, always a pleasure to see.
thats the most accurate depiction of how heavy would look if he was confused an concerned it looks very in character for him
I'm a Painis Cupcake. I will push you.
this video is 1 minute and 14 seconds but it genuinely feels like so much time passed, outstanding. the expressions are perfect
Soldier looked clinicaly insane. Like emesis blue type insane.
Heavy after the video: “The burning you feel… it is shame!”
Soldier: “Damnit!”
This would 100% canonically happen
When you're wrong but don't feel like accepting you're wrong.
I would love to see a short version where the door just jerks back and crushes Soldier's hand and he screams in pain while Heavy laughs.
It's Soldier's eery smile back at Heavy that put this in my favorites
Im so glad im getting variety content this is gold
So that's why there isn't a door at an actual match at 2 fort anymore
It is very hard to convey weight and effort into something like sfm. You did a good job.
Tim Robinsons skits were originally rejected SNL skits.
You can open a door from any direction but usually only once
Spy decided this ain't worth it after seeing Soldier's miracle stupidity.
The crosssection between fans of “I think you should leave” and TF2 is small, but seemingly mighty.
This is actually so well animated. Every single expressions and movement tell a story lmao love this
i like how sword is so hilariously eloquent in this compared to his canon version, you ALMOST think he's actually being intelligent for a second
and then you realize he's breaking the door by forcing it open the wrong way. priceless.
Reminder that Soldier is canonically strong enough to kill bears with his hands
a tf2 ITYSL animation is something I didn’t think id ever see but I’m so glad I did
That, uh, leaded water really got to soldier huh?
I think you should leave (if you know you know)
Amazing, just amazing all around. Timing, animation, sound, comedy it is all here
The funniest thing is, when you look at the door and how it is installed, you actually need to pull since the hinges are on Soldiers side. So Soldier was right
Unless the door actually does go both ways
I felt the fear and confusion Heavy was experiencing
If soldier says it's a pull door it will be a pull door
Soldier would genuinely do that
This went from funny to lovecraftian like horror real fast
Soldier Got possesed right there.
Bro the heavy face hahahahahhahah, good sfm bro
how do you only have 500 subs, this is so good. not just the animation, but the plot and scene framing too, all of it is so good, you need more attention dude, this is gold
I just realised the potential for tf2 remakes of I Think You Should Leave Sketches.
this did not need to be so HORRIFYING. good job
That is completely in character. 100%.
Well...
It does now
See Heavy on the other hand can go through any door like it was a push door
I love the fact that I've seen the original and you've captured it so well
The creaking sounds sound like the clicking sounds you hear in subnautica 😂
I see this at my work at a grocery store a lot. Customers go through the wrong automatic door when entering or exiting, so they just force open the door the other way.
I like how the soldier tried so hard to prove his point just to break the hinges of that door.
It would have been really funny if they opened up to scout having trouble with the other door
holy shit the tempo and facial expressions are amazing
The part where the heavy was looking to the soldier opening the door on his way is absolutely funny.
This is like saying "you too" to the cashier or waiter in a high end restaurant, then spending all your money to not only pay for their food, but also their shift for the day untaxed because you didn't wanna look dumb
I love the I Think You Should Leave reference. Very nice animation.
the way he smiled
The door creeking sounds like it’s screaming for it’s life lmao
That's spy in base!
This was really well done
Every push door is a pull door.
If you pull hard enough
Its so good that it should be canon
funny thing is the hinges and handle clearly show that it is in fact a pull door
Soldier is a man of focus and sheer fricking will
jesus christ, i would've shitten myself if someone on the other side of a door did this.
Thought for sure he was going to lose a hand. Good job at subverting expectations :D
Sometimes I’m heavy. Sometimes I’m soldier
I remember i went to a 7/11 once and pulled on a door that said push, the teenager working in the cashier had the same reaction as heavy.
Holy shit this is actually brilliant
Funny how the meet the spy video only shows one way into the intelligence room via door but in game there's two entrances and no doors
I love heavy was like “little soldier man is actually kinda strong??? That’s weird”
the suspense. the noise. All it needs is some good lighting
They way the handle was hidden made me expect it not existing.
0:45 the hinge was on Soldier's side, he was right!
Also why is Soldier so cute here?
I was fully expecting the door to just slam onto soldiers fingers
he did it not because it was easy but because it was hard.
well at least we saw that soldier worked hard to prove his point
*when someone says It doesn't work that way but you MAKE IT WORK*
How much are we sure soldiers home state is not florida???
I would actually expect the door to come back and hitting Soldier's fingers
Lots of small details, I love it.
