The main theme gives me PTSD of perfect roll dice being skipped
It's so fascinating how many party of this soundtrack have VERY strong ties to epic/iconic movie scores of the past but you actually only notice it, when listening to them without playing the game.
The Main Theme for example is so reminicent of the score for Conan The Barbarian (1982) while The Stage Is Set actually reminds me heavily of Star Wars
I'm not saying, that those scores are clones or rip-offs but they just perfectly nail the feel of an epic, fantasy score

Played EE on my Xbox One and then on my Xbox Series X. I always heard of it and loved how it played. Gameplay wise it was easy to follow but I learned more as I went. I FELL IN LOVE with the storyline. I started the first game and played all the way through (Skipped Siege of Dragonspear) because I wanted to experience how people back in the day played. It took me 6 months to finish it. It really helped me with my own story that I hope can someday be published.
This always brings soooo any memories...
I wish in the future Play BG one more time with all of you guys

Setting The Stage does exactly that. When I watched that cut scene opening and heard that music, I knew I'd be playing this series over and over for the rest of my life.

When I think of Baldur's Game I always remember this particular song, probably because I spent so much time lost in Baldur's Gate city lol

The peaceful tracks have this creepiness to them, like even though your surroundings seem safe for now you're still very vulnerable and alone, and when combat breaks out it's almost a relief that the wait is over.

Playing boardgame Legends of Andor to this music.
So nostalgic hearing this soundtrack again, such great memories!
My favorite tracks - Swords against darkness, Fighting for survival (think this showed up prominently in a location with undead) and The Last Battle.
That Last Battle cue. I remember towards the end of the game you are underground and end up emerging in the open world right on top of some end game level monsters: witches or evil magic users and they had the ability to turn you to stone. First time I emerged, I ended up in battle with this group and the music began playing as the wind swirled the dust around. Awesome. It also was one of the first times I played it straight as I remember Aerie was turned to stone (which took her out of the party) then she was shattered, but I didn’t reload. Sadness. But that was a boss level fight the first time without knowing what was going to happen.
candlekeep is the most magical almost like ladyhawke film theme

The german narrator voice entirely sucked me into the great story of this game. His voice is like a reward for completing a chapter.

I'm a bit surprised this has only 12k views but ok.
There are other videos with BG1 full ost but it is an old game. Not many people have played them
