"So I kicked him in the head until he was dead HEH HEH HEH"
Drr
Let's make it quick and painful !!!!!
Your life shall be mine !
SPARE NO ONE !!!
My 'otels as clean as an elven arse!
You must gather your party before venturing forth.
"don't worry child, I'll explain everything as soon as there is time"
"I SERVE the Flaming Fist!" The thick, southern gentlemen accent on this guy is a nice touch.
Bandit Melee was iconic for those early frantic level 1-4 struggles against wizards and clerics that could just smoke you with sleep/hold spells, a.k.a. actual TRAINED humans
"all the world is blind to my passing"
The dragon battle theme is my favourite combat theme. Perfectly sets the scene for fighting something horrific and powerful
Firkraag is such a well designed character in terms of story narration, compared to most red dragons
Definitely the strongest one, so slow, rolling on you with enormous power... Just awesome piece, albeit short one.
Was moved to tears by the end. I never knew it was possible to improve on perfection.
SPARE NO ONE
I am the music player person of our dnd campaing and my character is funnily also a Bard... But anyway thanks for this video. This music comp will make tens of our combat encounters that more amazing :D
"Your life ends here."
No one crosses the Shadow Thieves and lives!
I always thought it was funny that there's an epic battle orchestra for fighting gibberlings
Every low level fight has a high chance of your char dying so it's quite fitting.
I really enjoy waking up to this music… Sure it’s 1pm and I had great evening, last night, yesteryear? Happy New Years everybody for 2024 and don’t forget the love. Seth… Love it.
YOU GOT THIS COMING!
a master class compilation !
Piękne przejścia. Świetna robota.
great compilation mate!
Just wanted to add, appreciate the time it has taken you to put this together and maintain the quality!
... vita, mortis...
Careo!
excellent, thanks
Top 10 Baldur's Gate Battle Tracks:
10. Underdark Battle (not included in this video). A very deep, dark-sounding track, with sounds that make me think of howls echoing off of the walls around me. The theme is used in the Underdark, and in a few other dungeon battles. The track ends with another echo sound, conveying peace and fear at the same time.
9. City Battle 2: "Plant a blade in your innards, I will!" Particularly noteworthy for the slow, dark notes at the opening of the track. Plays in the docks district and Copper Coronet and perfectly fits the down and dirty nature of getting attacked in a dark alley.
8. Shadow Battle: Similar to City Battle 2, but more intense. Use of the piano is rare in fantasy music. Sadly, this track is featured only in a very small part of the game, and it can be missed entirely depending on the character's choices.
7. Attacked by Bounty Hunters: A particularly diverse track, it has both slow and fast moments, a dramatic choir, and a section of music that keeps ramping up fiercer and fiercer.
6. Sewer Battle AKA Dungeon Battle 1: Particularly memorable as this is the first battle track of the second game. The full piece has an intro (missing in this video) that builds up trepidation before the tempo quickens, evoking the growing terror of the characters as the enemy charges at them. The music ends with a more positive-sounding chord, conveying hope now that the battle is over.
5. Plains Battle 2. "You will suffer! You will all suffer!" Quick and to the point, the music lets you know you've ticked somebody off and now you're in big trouble.
4. Irenicus Battle. "So we are to battle one last time. No more hiding for either of us." Intense and fearful, with no escape. The jittery nature of the track mimics the fight, in which the characters will most likely have to do a bit of running around to find Irenicus and defend from the demons he summons.
3. From out of the Storm/ Sarevok Battle. "Face ME! Face the new lord of murder!" This track works in the main theme of the first game, and expresses the all-out struggle the characters have been working towards.
2. Attacked by Assassins. "Hi friend." Probably the first battle that your character will be able to fight in. Fast paced and intense, it evokes the surprise the character feels at such a sudden attack. An unforgettable classic.
1. Dragon Battle. "It is, as they say, your funeral." One of the most iconic tracks, only used when battling dragons, the music conveys dread at the magnitude of the monster before you.
HONORABLE MENTION: Alternate Dragon Battle: (not included in video). Probably the most obscure battle track, it only plays when fighting the silver dragon in the Underdark.
DISHONORABLE MENTION: Plains Battle 1: The opening notes of this track are incredibly discordant and painful to listen to. The track gets better after that, but the beginning of the piece ruins it.
Go for the eyes, Boo. GO FOR THE EYES! RAAAAAAAHHSK!
Hobgoblins and Worgs ost and Sarevok final battle ost are my favourite ones
Dragon battle music plays when shit really hits the fan, it plays on Kangaxx battle too
''This place will be your tomb!''
that Lifeforce theme ftw
Seriously, it's not just a "soundalike", it's almost exactly the same. Direct plagiarism.
I suppose it's the sincerest form of compliment...
"Dance Rampah dance! Dance in the flesh!"
"We're a rampaging horde of Tarrasques! Kree Kree!"
you are missing on of my favorite battle tracks, Underground (I am not sure if it considered battle or explore sountrack though:)
The assasins music is my favorite!
Fun fact: it seems to be, uhhh, "heavily inspired" by the Henry Mancini theme song from the sci-fi/horror flick "Lifeforce".
@@nicholassurges1601 Thank you! For 20 freaking years I have been thinking "where he heck have I heard that song before?" ruclips.net/video/EsV7TuNMr5M/видео.html
