That's not the same thing at all. The original used fog as a way of hiding environments loading in. The remake's fog has nothing to do with that. Hopefully a patch for the actual release of this game to iron out these performance dips. But I think it might just be a heavy UE5 game. But hopefully they can get the performance into the 48fps VRR range in those trouble spots.
I probably will play this in quality mode, but so far that makes it the fifth time this generation that that mode is preferred, maybe more. Callisto Protocol, at first (but not anymore) Horizon Forbidden West, Star Wars Jedi Survivor, I prefer Alan Wake 2 in quality mode, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. I much prefer 60fps over 30fps, but as long as the 30fps is steady enough, I much prefer a crisp image to a blurry mess with less visual quality aspects, like level of detail and visual effects, shadow quality, etc. Edit - Now adding Space Marine 2.
I’m begging whoever runs this channel to either find a new library of royalty free music for these videos or to at least edit around that annoying producer tag every thirty seconds.
“FlopStation” somehow will still be one of the most sold consoles but yeah this seems for a UE5 issue every time a launch pure UE5 game comes out there’s always this issue rn some people with 4080s are having issues

Creo que jugaré alternando los dos modos, hasta dar con la opción que más me guste, pero mientras disfrutaré de las dos maneras, con sus pros y sus contras
We live in strange times. Honestly - the graphics are average, nothing happens on the screen except static objects, a few enemies and the computing power NEEDED to produce it is so high that the game can't maintain a measly 60fps?!
"nothing happens on the screen except static objects" That's just false. Thick volumetric fog are millions of particles in this case. In every game in the last year 8 year volumetrics were always the heaviest on the graphics and this game is loaded with it. Although it's still can be probably optimized.
I chose quality because maybe it's because I eneabled VRR, 30fps did not feel as stuttery as other titles. I rarely felt the need to go higher frame rates aside from a few dips
The Shadow comparison at 3:35 is a terrible example because the performance mode doesn't have a light source to compare shadow quality.... The one at 7:57 is a bit better but that first one is not a comparison, its not even an apple to oranges, its like comparing apples to there being not light source to cast shadows.
Quite the difference indoors. Seems like some kind of RTGI or AO is in use when in quality and completely lost in perfomance. Looks significantly worse. Glad I can play this on a high end PC.
Facts, i don't understand why it was completely removed from the performance mode, they should've used some sort of baked lighting for the indoors parts, looks very flat.
Its honestly odd too because everyone acts like 60 became the standard and I'm like "I can't think of a single release that doesn't take a visual hit for that secondary toggle that is only set to default if your console is set to framerate by default.

@Radek494 yeh but even after selling it, the additional cost for the difference is still insane. I think everyone needs to ask themselves truthfully, if you were playing your normal ps5, and a notification came up from the system saying "NEW UPGRADE. I’d be more ok with it if it were less noticeable. After playing Marvel’s Spider-Man and Miles Morales in basically 99% native 4K, playing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 with obvious dynamic resolution at play is jarring. Hopefully the Pro will fix the Fidelity mode for it.

It looks really good.
A 2k/40 vrr would have been perfect for this game.
Going quality mode as always.
Hopefully a patch for the actual release of this game to iron out these performance dips. But I think it might just be a heavy UE5 game. But hopefully they can get the performance into the 48fps VRR range in those trouble spots.
I’ll wait and hopefully play Quality setting at 60fps with PSSR on PS5 Pro. It does look better even though both look great!

Day 1 patches don’t do ANYTHING and haven’t literally since years ago lol
@@SolidBoss7Yeah no, that’s a lie.
@@FoxLeader435 Witcher 3 actually got better performance as they optimised the game more.
@@fenixa2z936 name a day 1 patch that made a notable or significant difference? I’ll wait…
This is already with so called day 1 patch applied

Sadly no.
Guys, don’t worry about the resolution in performance mode. FlopStation 5 Pro is coming to fix all the problems.
Only 700$ 🤑
“FlopStation” somehow will still be one of the most sold consoles but yeah this seems for a UE5 issue every time a launch pure UE5 game comes out there’s always this issue rn some people with 4080s are having issues
This is not a fast paced game it’s 100% best suited for quality mode
PS5 is great consile for it price and alot of games looks amazing overall but clearly raw power is a little too low for crips 4k qnd good ray tracing. Im going for Pro as a graphics enthusiasm:) (I KNOW GOOD pc always ahead but I Dont like playing on PC)
Buy me a ps5 pro too
Creo que jugaré alternando los dos modos, hasta dar con la opción que más me guste, pero mientras disfrutaré de las dos maneras, con sus pros y sus contras
We live in strange times. Honestly - the graphics are average, nothing happens on the screen except static objects, a few enemies and the computing power NEEDED to produce it is so high that the game can't maintain a measly 60fps?!
Don’t forget this wasn’t Konami or some other triple A developer it was Bloober a pretty inexperienced team for the most part
"nothing happens on the screen except static objects"
That's just false. Thick volumetric fog are millions of particles in this case. In every game in the last year 8 year volumetrics were always the heaviest on the graphics and this game is loaded with it.
Although it's still can be probably optimized.
womp womp
Is the 1080p internal resolution or will it get upscaled? Maybe I should wait until my ps5 pro arrives to play this.

Yes

1080p Performance mode.
its 2006-2013 all over again.
Games looks like it was built with 30fps in mind. The 60fps mode seems like a terrible choice; feels like it was added to appease complainers.
@@MamoMark always has been since this gen’s launch. lol
Its honestly odd too because everyone acts like 60 became the standard and I'm like "I can't think of a single release that doesn't take a visual hit for that secondary toggle that is only set to default if your console is set to framerate by default.
Is there any screen tearing in either of the modes? I saw some in the PlayStation Underground Fleshlips Trailer.
No seas ignorante. Es unreal engine 5. Todo funciona mal en ps5 y serie x. Es un engine pensado para pc, pro y nueva generacion ps6 y la nueva xbox

It will look and run even better in both modes on the Pro.
It will, but not £700 better
@@huzidamasta you can and should sell base PS5 if you are buying a Pro. If not then of course it won't be worth 700 £
@Radek494 yeh but even after selling it, the additional cost for the difference is still insane.
I think everyone needs to ask themselves truthfully, if you were playing your normal ps5, and a notification came up from the system saying "NEW UPGRADE. FREE 24 HOUR TRIAL AVAILABLE" and you clicked on the trial and saw the difference in image quality, you'd be interested, but then after the trial finished and it said £350..........come on. Exactly because a lot of them are shilling for the company that’s why they didn’t mention it. Smh
Why would they mention it if quality mode is stable and performance mode rarely drop in frame except in rare case. People always trying to found issue on journalists.
@@Jfray252I’ve played two hours and the frame rate consistently drops in both modes. There are also a ton of graphical bugs… so no I’m not just trying to “find issue” with reviewers. I think it’s important they mention when a game is not polished.
@@calvinclarke9593 Well both modes are fine for me after a couple of hour.
Both mods uses Dynamic Resolution, this is the present and future. True 4K + Ultra, rip your pockets and get a 5800X3D + 4090 and still, will be forced to use DLSS in most AAA games. Never forget that the base PS5 console costs $300-$400. The PS5, TV, and sofa deliver an amazing and smooth gaming experience. Stop comparing PC vs. console. Forget the numbers and play the damn game as you wish, and let's revive one of the most incredible horror games ever made! 🤘
