In the definite edition boulders didn’t block the entrance

Ohhh my god. This game is ridiculously hard. I’ve had to stop and put the game down id be so frustrated from constantly dying. Trying to escape has only taken me 30 years of my life. But thanks to you i was able to beat it in.... 3 hours xD

He is god on that game, Me too, I struggle a fuck ton of hours in that area, now on my second time going for that area, I'm still suffering there, not even halfways, one hour

I guess you already know it but in case anyone else is wondering the same question here it go: this is basic the last part of the game, after that there are just some cutscenes

I don't normally like lava themed areas but this segment right here was one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. That's so weird!
And there I was, thinking this was a cute, relaxing, easy, pretty game to just pass the time and dwell into childish innocence. World War Z was more tranquil than this game.

Interesting how the lava fck with our mental process to figure out the puzzles. To me this was the hardest part of the game.
I finished the part at 14:46 but the lava below at the entrance isn’t gone, is there something else I need to do? Or something I miss.. and I’m sure ain’t heel restarting the game.

Yeah. That's why I played this with controller. Even with a controller, I struggle in this game but still much better than playing with a keyboard.
I was struggling WAY too much during the Ginso Tree escape while using the keyboard... I decided to buy a controller, and it REALLY helps!!! the whole game become a liiiiittle bit more playable...

Man, it was reverse for me. I began playing with a controller, then I unlocked the bash ability and ended up switching to keyboard and mouse

I always considered myself as a casual gamer. But after completing this masterpiece i dont know anymore. One of THE best games of all times!

@Katie Wolvick hearing and experiencing both games first hand is a different thing. Ori is a more light hearted solid platformer with Metroidvania elements. Ori 2 is perhaps one of the most enthralling video game experience created.
But my heart still bleeds Hollow Knight... it's a perfect creation.
@Katie Wolvick hollow knight isnt a knockoff of ori. The only similarity is they are both metroidvanias with good music. I played both games and personally prefer hollow knight but ori is close.
The escape of this one is pretty complicated. But the worse is the escape of the Tree.
That’s good to hear. Seeing as how much I’m struggling to get through the regular part, I’d assumed that the escape would be a literal nightmare. Good to hear that the Ginso Tree was harder. Not that the Ginso tree was easy, but I’d rather do that than the regular part of Mount Horu.
The ginso tree was waaaaayyy easier. Im in a rage trying to escape this stupid bird!
The Ginso tree was hard because there was this one spot where I simply didn't realize I had to wall-jump instead of jump directly up. I completely take the blame for all of that, it's just me being dumb. The game is hard but only because I'm a dummy.
17 minutes, i have 114 minutes on this section and I am in room no 4. you make it look so effortless
When that part you needed to run from being cooked by lava, I ran out from the room before it was over, never knowing that it was a room under it you needed to do, I never needed to do that room under either, so I just made it alot easier for me, my best mistake ever made
Absolutely ruined a fun little game
I just bought this game from Steam a couple of weeks ago when it was selling at a discount. I am now left with last few rooms in Mount Horu. I have died so many times in the whole game that my number of respawns have reached more than 1000. The game is really tough but challenging.

By the way, I have completed the game on the same day I posted that comment. The number of deaths doesn't matter, you just have to enjoy the game. Beating the game just requires a lot of trials and errors.
Tell me about. I also hit more than 1000 respawns on my first gameplay. My second on the Definitive Edition looks a little better so far lol

I stayed there and traveled back to the middle with the bottom one and at the right time I jumped up to the upper one at its back. I thought that is the way to do it. Was pretty hard to do, and not accidentally, it turns out...
In pc, this game is so hard but I finished ori 3 times. I wish I can get a xbox...

Thank you for this guide still i cant help but think theres something wrong with the Devs of this game (wrong with their heads certainly!) the difficulty upgrade comparing to the previous dungeon is huge the game certainly is not targeting younger audiences kids would give it up very easily and adults haven't got all day to play Ori...the main idea is that a video game should be simple and fun we play games to escape and rest our troubled minds not to get frustrated and anxious...Still this game is worth every precious penny you gave for it.
I think kids are certainly better at this game. If I compare what I am at games right now and if I had to compete against my 12-year old self, I would totally be destroyed by myself. Like, me as a 12-year old who played Mario all his childhood would probably not have a problem with this section of the game. Even today I guess I'm decent based on what I've read here but still, my younger self would be better.
Does difficulty on easy actually change anything about the timing you need? I only played on normal.

For me, the door opened, I saved the game, died before I went down the door, the game loaded, but the door is closed with no purple lighting, no monster to kill.

Not being able to save at various points (Normal mode) makes this more frustrating than fun, I'm sorry to say. The 'camera shake' and rapid shifting focus and predominant red colour makes you feel slightly ill.

Same, I did a high jump(I forgot what that ability is called) to that platform over, took me a looong time to time that right, and now I just noticed I did it a way harder to myself ;)

I died here probably 25 times (in the final scene I mean), more than in any other scene of the game but I guess the single reason for that was that nobody ever told me I could charge that boost jump while running. I guess I would've died another 15 times if I didn't look it up. I'm in love with this game but I'm just a casual player so I'm quite bad. I was relieved I didn't have to fight against Kuro because that would've ended badly for me.
But after reading these comments I'm actually not that sad anymore that I'm bad. For a casual who never plays games with controller I guess it's fine.
I accidentally did a glitch and I can finish the game but it wont count so I do it over and over again
on the original your game save is broken if you go into the last door without making a game save backup co's after you do it and escape you cannot start your game again to go back through and pick up missing things

1:04 Oh I was too dumb for this. 😂 I did it freestyle in a single cycle without using the upper lever.
I knew the way I did it was overcomplicated but I just didn't understand how else it could be done.
You can't get a 100% if you don't pick up the energy life cells and ability cells. But yes you can finish the lvl without them. I didn't see tutorials for other lvls so I don't have all the life cells. I am going to see some tutorials and see where the life cells are and get them before I begin this BS lvl. Honestly this is pro lvl. Wish "easy" was easy. Not pro-lvl. Feels like I need to hire a gamer to finish this lvl for me -_-. Water lvl and forlorn is nothing compared to this lvl. I came to see tutorial on how to finish it since I am at moun horu....and this is too tough.
13:37 it totally looks like you'd die trying to grab that boulder... I imagine that puzzle caught a lot of people off guard (including me). Speaking of which, how do you get the Light Spirit orb there?
Literally just did it. You know when you have the boulder up there right, as you need it up there to finish obviously, well all you do is shoot the boulder straight up and walk through to get it and to get out you do the exact same thing. That easy.
@@JesseDumontt I was saying that the way the laser beam interacts with the boulder on the bottom floor it looks like being anywhere near the boulder would instantly kill you.

I rage quit because of Forlorn, then i beat this in like an hour. I think that area was just shitty game design
How did you get to mount horu without finishing Forlorn first? Also I beat forlorn in like 10 min. The key is to cut the music out. It helps a lot. The water level and mount horu is the toughest in this game. I saw a tutorial for forlorn and that tutorial was the best one out of all forlorn ones. Key is to jump before stuff starts breaking down and then go along with it. If you wait to time it, ori ends up dying. Lots of people quit at forlorn and Idk why. It was damn easy compared to this shitty horu lvl. Also Forlorn is like only few min of escape sequence. Horu? 8 doors of it and everything looks the same so it's so confusing! Not to mention the creaturs, lava, the bird, laser shoots, hot floor etc.
at 14:33 when the big rock falls and the lava lowers for some odd reason mine didnt what gives

After 648 deaths, I finished it. Many thanks to you. Visually stunning game, but now I've the seen the end credits roll I'm glad I don't have to play it again. The insta-death repeat sequences are too much, akin to DK The Big Freeze on the switch. Not a relaxing playthrough
ty for 9:08 i was searching what to do.. i never realized i could kill this thing.... and anyone else tried at 1:07 to throw a blue gems in middle and go upstair.. that what i did , i don't thinked to jump on the platform at the good times.

hi- for some reason I'm stuck on 13:40 boulder on xbox one. In previous levels i've been able to use bash and shoot the boulders up but for some reason it's not recognizing the bash Y button, I'm only able to pull the boulder. Any suggestions or am I doomed?? thanks

Beat both Ori games. The thing I hated the most were the controls. Sometimes when a lot was going on the game couldn't keep up.
