Get on that violin! I’m a pianist but tried violin during the pandemic- one of the hardest instruments out there but very rewarding. You gotta get Troy to do some simple piano-violin pieces with you- maybe make that his punishment for losing flounderfest
Hilariously unfortunate scene, but "I get Random Green'd in Laaaaaaaaast!" has a ton of merch potential, like on a t-shirt. Here's the suggestion, Nicholas.
32 would be great, but I can't make you suffer that much lol. You all need to do a flounderfest with only Nintendos/Custom Retros. I can't stand seeing you all get bodied by jank.
I've watched Flounder Fest over on Troy's channel for Nick's involvement for so long that I've decided to come over to the Fella's side and give it the views it deserves!
Ah the time has come. The infamous track that will test the nerves of both our contestants. Will this series survive afterwards, or is this truly the end... of Flounder Fest? Ah it'll be fine-
Picking up an instrument I played as a kid again has been very rewarding, and been a big highlight of my last couple years. I hope you get some joy out of it!
I love the long videos, but I wonder whether a 32-track session would burn you fellas out and make the final races less enjoyable. Racing 32 custom tracks in one sitting may expose you to critical levels of jank lol
Can I get a point on the Flounder Counter for watching to the end of the video? I was feeling secondhand agony from all that. Also, I will say 32, but the final 32. Make it the finale.
In case you do 32 races for the next episode the winner of the GP should be awarded with 2 points instead of 1 for the floundercounter, I think that would be a good and relatively fair idea considering you will be playing almost twice the amount of tracks in comparison to the other episodes
To make up for the terrible luck in this video, here have my attempted copypasta ranting against Mushroom Peaks. TL:DR I spend too much time on TV Tropes and I need serious help. My problem with Peaks is what TV Tropes calls "Fake Difficulty." Difficulty derived through unfair means or otherwise through ways that are outside the player's control ingame. There are five kinds of fake difficulty, three of which I hold onto the belief that Mushroom Peaks falls into: Bad technical aspects make it difficult. Making a difficult jump is a real difficulty. Making that same difficult jump under an overly complicated control scheme (trick, then don't trick, then don't trick again, then trick, etc. in order to not fall off), horrible jumping mechanics, or an abrupt mid-air change of camera angle - and therefore the orientation of your controls - is fake difficulty. (Admittedly, custom track creators have no control over how mushrooms work, but we do have control over how we implement mushrooms into our tracks.) The outcome is not reasonably determined by the player's actions. Unlocking a door by solving a color puzzle is real difficulty. (Mushroom RNG) Denial of information critical to progress. A reasonable game may require the player to use information, clues, or logic to proceed. Withholding relevant information such that the player cannot possibly win without a guide, walkthrough or trial and error is fake difficulty. (Trick, then don't trick, then don't trick again, then trick, etc. in order to not fall off.) (There is no "get gud scrub" for this, despite the myriad replies of this that I get. Literally no Nintendo track does this.) It is important to note that just because a gameplay feature is annoying and frustrating does not make it fake difficulty. Note also that fake difficulty is not inherently bad. If used subtly, it can provide a satisfying challenge, such as in cases where the AI might be lacking. Moreover, some games get the majority of their comedy/nostalgia from Fake Difficulty and is much of the appeal of them (as is the case with Mushroom Peaks for a lot of players, but I just joined CTGP last year, so I do not have the rose-tinted glasses that comes free with the nostalgia express); Dungeons & Dragons' most popular module is packed to the brim with Fake Difficulty and attempts to reduce it have caused complaining from the fanbase (in the case of Mushroom Peaks, detractors seem to get lashed out at, and smugly told to "just get gud"). It can be perceived fair game if the games do not lie to the player about being fair challenges or about the nature of the challenges they provide, so a prospective player can know what they're signing up for. Fake Difficulty was prevalent in many older games, when developers were still learning about how to make fair challenges. It took people to realize that sometimes, a game was hard for all the wrong reasons, before they could see how to make it hard for better reasons. The unfortunate side effect is that newer games seem easier in comparison merely because they're a fairer challenge. There are plenty of other reasons for this, such as players being aware of some persistent forms of Fake Difficulty and making sure to avoid them, but that's another article entirely. It still does exist today, mind you. Fake or Artificial difficulty is sometimes used to refer to the raising of enemy stats without improving their AI or giving them new abilities. However, raising enemy stats may force the player to devise new strategies or execute their inputs with less errors. Trial and error and re-attempting sections of a game are a natural part of most games, and only excessive or ridiculous examples of trial and error should be considered "fake". Also, difficulty is a measurable statistic that can be categorized into different kinds of player skills required to overcome it. Thus the term "fake" difficulty is a matter of opinion which can change from player to player, depending on which forms of difficulty they like or dislike. Contrast Anti-Frustration Features, where things are fudged in the player's favor instead. Also contrast Nintendo Hard, which is extreme, but very real difficulty. TL:DR I spend too much time on TV Tropes and I need serious help.
I'm hella late but I would've commented 16, honestly. Welp, imma get ready for that 32, I guess 😅 Thank goodness RUclips remembers video positions for me lol
I love the content but 32 is too long for a single episode, no? More fun to see how competitive things get over 8-16 races? Maybe that’s just me. Love the content either way and respect your ability to play while tilted. My controller WOULD be out the window
Brother you’re really good at the game and i watch every video but please for the love god can you please not hold items so much? It’s not realistic to hold a bill or star in top places i know you wanna dodge but it’s better to use the item and chain
I appreciate the comment! That’s exactly the purpose why I’m holding certain dodges and waiting both 30s for the next shock to be available and mini map reading for when the back is hitting the first item sets that it’s available. Sometimes I burn the item if I’m simply too far away where it doesn’t make sense to hold it to dodge. Just the way the shocks go in these lobbies compared to standard lounge rooms where people are more intricate with them as opposed to being spammed through the roulette.
@@TristanMKW i clearly have and it's not a good strategy, why are you holding a bill in 5th for ,while you know a shock is going to happen, and while watching the video i called it and i knew it'd happen... as soon as the last person went through the item set it happened as always. This has happened many times with stars and bills with always the same result, a loss. There have been times where it was worth it but like how many?2 or 3 out of 100?He's a good a player as we know but if he's losing well something must be wrong in his strategy...
I feel like I’m watching Nick’s Joker arc every week
Everyone is one bad race from Nmeade 😂
POG for Nick learning cello and getting back into violin
With Peaks in the thumbnail I already know what's gonna happen LOL
Learning today that Nick is a musician and that's wonderful
Get on that violin! I’m a pianist but tried violin during the pandemic- one of the hardest instruments out there but very rewarding. You gotta get Troy to do some simple piano-violin pieces with you- maybe make that his punishment for losing flounderfest
Nick I don't know how you didn't quit earlier, I really respect you for that.
Very painful video.
Lol
Trust me, it took every ounce of me to go through this entire thing LOL

A Retro Rewind Flounder Fest would make a great next season
nick you have so much more patience than i ever could... 22:08 would have been a rage quit on my end!
Nah fr. I would've dropped my controller
39:45 man, funky Kong died after that torture from mushroom peaks 😂
One of these days I’m terrified that Nick is gonna snap😂😅(Glad to see the consistent content though! ❤)
Frozen in the lobby sets the tone for the entire play session
It's gonna be a rough one for our fellas
Also 32 🦆
I came to the comments when I saw the name too, was that actually him?
I think so
Another NMeade banger! This series is the only reason to look forward to Monday
I agree, the violin is a beautiful sounding instrument
I've watched Flounder Fest over on Troy's channel for Nick's involvement for so long that I've decided to come over to the Fella's side and give it the views it deserves!
WE GOTTA LOCK IN SIR NICK (at least you don’t have a team to flounder for you anymore😭)
NMeade’s blood pressure about to be as high as the amount of tracks in Virtual Night
Ah the time has come.
The infamous track that will test the nerves of both our contestants. Will this series survive afterwards, or is this truly the end... of Flounder Fest?
Ah it'll be fine-
Funky Kong: Whaaaaaaaa!!!!!!
Troy: You just got Mario Karted.

Really amazed by your sheer will to go through these tracks, please don't quit Mariokart after the 32
Looking forward to seeing you guys play Retro Rewind after this haha.
this video was an uncomfortable reminder of all the reasons i stopped playing ctgp worldwides ;w;
You endured the bad luck like a champ! Very cool!
First race got my hopes high, just went downhill from there LMAO
32 would be cool, but a video like this works great too! Perhaps this is a good middle ground. Anyways, can’t wait for next weeks episode!
I think we need you livestreaming a new series where you just play a bunch of custom tracks and get ridiculously good :D
I swear this is identical to a ctgp event from 3 years ago. Nick says the same things too
im not even playing and i still wanted to shut off my wii lol
Can I get a point on the Flounder Counter for watching to the end of the video? I was feeling secondhand agony from all that.
Also, I will say 32, but the final 32. Make it the finale.
The title's not even clickbait, lol'd when you got mega'd in 11th... what a descent into the oblivion
Nmeade my friend. You are a trooper!
Nick, do you have any plans to stream again? I do miss the streams.
I do! I have something planned for when I start streaming frequently again that I think many will enjoy.
@@NMeade I'm looking forward to it immensely!

The day i've been waiting for
Just one of those days, man. Rough. Next week
I feel Nick’s pain while watching this.
I would have lost the mental energy halfway in.
Peaks, which means total insanity. Happy Monday to me
32 would be awesome

we NEED to hear Nick’s epic violin playing!!
32!!
Nick should just concede and save himself the sanity loss he sustains every week
At this point I'm certain that some players are purposefully targetting Nick.
When Nick uploads, everybody’s day gets better💪
