Dinosaurs don’t walk the Earth … You take our movies, many of them about our most impossible dreams, and through your musical genius, you make them real and everlasting for billions and billions of people.”

@@matiaspereira9382 "nothing". I'm definitely not one to underestimate the importance of the soundtrack, but Spielberg is easily one of the greatest film directors of all time. His films would still be good with a lesser composer. Just not _as_ good

John Williams doesn’t compose movie scores! 🎥 🎶
He composes movies made of music!
I don’t think most people really appreciate how much music, is responsible for contributing to the success of a movie.
In my opinion John Williams is responsible for at least 50% of Spielbergs success, of course credit goes to his genius, for recognising the talent and genius of Williams.
He is like a modern day Beethoven or Chopin of the film 🎥 world 🌎 living legend John Williams!!!

As a longtime lover of John Williams & his music, I've collected nearly everything he's recorded over his entire career. And, I've discovered that it's not just his amazing & beautiful music & orchestration, but his conducting is what makes his music all the more special. There will never be another Sir John Williams to bring the childhood imagination of us adults back to life as he could do.

Ive had the great honor to see him live and celebrate his 90th Bday in person at Tanglewood this year. I got a lifetime dream complete and got to see him conduct Raiders March live. The entire concert was a wonderful 90th celebration event. I even got the extremely rare honor of meeting the Maestro, John Williams himself at the event and got to thank him for everything in person. Mr. Williams is just as humble and friendly as you see him on interviews. Also seeing Itzhak Perlman perform Schindler's List theme live was incredible and so emotional, it was amazing to see the soundtrack violinist live in person.

Wonderful to see a huge crowd of people (mostly) under 40 listening avidly to orchestral music, never mind to see it played by such talented young people. Also glad that, as it was given as first encore, those who selected the program appreciate that the JP theme is probably the most stirring thing he’s written to date. Though I have one quibble there. That music really needs the chorus part. In that way, they could have dispensed with The Temple of Dumb cut and included Amistad instead. I also sorely missed Private Ryan’s Graves of Our Fathers. Even so, nicely done all around.

Jurassic Park has always been a fave of mine since I first heard it... The film score at the start starts off a bit sheepish [In the helicopter], creeps along, then grows, you realise something is big on the way, but it just feeds you tantalising tit bits, Williams holds it back ... Then it tapers off in a twinkle toes fashion [As the helicopter is landing], and then bang... It hits you like a massive dinosaur getting up on it's hind legs for a nibble on a tree!
    Its just perfect.
One of the most powerful and cleverest arrangements of a piece of music I've ever heard in film!

BRAVO !!! Saludos desde España.

At the end of his score to Close Encounters,, John brilliantly interpolated the theme from When You Wish Upon a Star. If you listen carefully, you will hear it. Unfortunately that part was cut out of this performance

In the film, it's the part where Roy turns around, briefly to look once more at Earth before he enters the Mother Ship...and it's the most magnificent chord progression of the simple musical phrase from "Pinnochio."

When Spielberg did Schindler’s List he knew only one man could do the music and make it work. Itzhak Perlman was the first and only choice to do the soundtrack solo.

I cant wait until my awesome music loving senior res see this sun instead of
"Travel log" (Activities assistant) . The reason going to freak out from this. I do wish they'd included either a list of or had what song..movie score music was playing up along with the country, place etc. But they will freaking loove this. Can't believe I stumbled on this. They get to see it on their big projector in the big screen in their resident dinning room. I guess in a way, it kind of IS A "travel log" of some sorts. My folks r gonna love it too. And I can't wait to show especially a few our res pretty severe dementia can be a challenge to reach them and to find activities they can participate and benifit/enjoy. Thank u. Stay safe.

Nice but I thought Anything Goes was weak. Kate Capshaw's singing was far more exuberant and lively (although this may be due to the sound quality, which sounds a little muddy to me).
