Wonderful to see a huge crowd of people (mostly) under 40 listening avidly to orchestral music, never mind to see it played by such talented young people. Also glad that, as it was given as first encore, those who selected the program appreciate that the JP theme is probably the most stirring thing he’s written to date. Though I have one quibble there. That music really needs the chorus part. In that way, they could have dispensed with The Temple of Dumb cut and included Amistad instead. I also sorely missed Private Ryan’s Graves of Our Fathers. Jurassic Park has always been a fave of mine since I first heard it... The film score at the start starts off a bit sheepish [In the helicopter], creeps along, then grows, you realise something is big on the way, but it just feeds you tantalising tit bits, Williams holds it back ... Then it tapers off in a twinkle toes fashion [As the helicopter is landing], and then bang... It hits you like a massive dinosaur getting up on it's hind legs for a nibble on a tree! Its just perfect. One of the most powerful and cleverest arrangements of a piece of music I've ever heard in film!
Ultimately the best composer and director of all times making movie history together with there Oscar masterpieces and music still loved by all to this very day
BRAVO !!! Saludos desde España.
At the end of his score to Close Encounters,, John brilliantly interpolated the theme from When You Wish Upon a Star. If you listen carefully, you will hear it. Unfortunately that part was cut out of this performance
In the film, it's the part where Roy turns around, briefly to look once more at Earth before he enters the Mother Ship...and it's the most magnificent chord progression of the simple musical phrase from "Pinnochio."
I attended Lakehead University in Thunder Bay Ontario Canada 🇨🇦....I studied music and mathematics.....now..years later....everything is mathematics....especially music 🎶
When Spielberg did Schindler’s List he knew only one man could do the music and make it work. Itzhak Perlman was the first and only choice to do the soundtrack solo.
I cant wait until my awesome music loving senior res see this sun instead of "Travel log" (Activities assistant) . The reason going to freak out from this. I do wish they'd included either a list of or had what song..movie score music was playing up along with the country, place etc. But they will freaking loove this. Can't believe I stumbled on this. They get to see it on their big projector in the big screen in their resident dinning room. I guess in a way, it kind of IS A "travel log" of some sorts. My folks r gonna love it too. And I can't wait to show especially a few our res pretty severe dementia can be a challenge to reach them and to find activities they can participate and benifit/enjoy. Thank u. Stay safe. Man I miss playing with other musicians
Nice but I thought Anything Goes was weak. Kate Capshaw's singing was far more exuberant and lively (although this may be due to the sound quality, which sounds a little muddy to me).

Hi friend thank you amazing Concert
Jurassic Park has always been a fave of mine since I first heard it... The film score at the start starts off a bit sheepish [In the helicopter], creeps along, then grows, you realise something is big on the way, but it just feeds you tantalising tit bits, Williams holds it back ... Then it tapers off in a twinkle toes fashion [As the helicopter is landing], and then bang... It hits you like a massive dinosaur getting up on it's hind legs for a nibble on a tree!
Its just perfect.
One of the most powerful and cleverest arrangements of a piece of music I've ever heard in film!
How poetic😂 love it❤
I might be able to go see a concert in a month or two of the philharmonic orchestra playing pieces similar to this and I’m so excited to see them !!!
Absolutely beautiful. Alot of my childhood favorites
Stupendo concerto 👍bravissimo il. Maestro che lo guida i miei complimenti 👍✨💫✨💫🎷🎼🎻🎼👆🎶🎼🦋

Ultimately the best composer and director of all times making movie history together with there Oscar masterpieces and music still loved by all to this very day
Please refer to contemporary film genre, NOT for
really THE greatest music ever composed!
BRAVO !!! Saludos desde España.
Thank you so much for uploading this masterpiece 😍
At the end of his score to Close Encounters,, John brilliantly interpolated the theme from When You Wish Upon a Star. If you listen carefully, you will hear it. Unfortunately that part was cut out of this performance
In the film, it's the part where Roy turns around, briefly to look once more at Earth before he enters the Mother Ship...and it's the most magnificent chord progression of the simple musical phrase from "Pinnochio."
I'm guessing due to music rights
John Williams is the G.O.A.T.
He sure is!-no doubt at all!
He's a LEGEND! 💕
Man this was great. I listened to The Lost World from this about five times.
Can we all agree: Williams is a genius?!
So awesome, thank you for posting this! What a treat
The score for Schindlers list always makes me sob
Yes, this melody is a masterpiece which will go into history.
I LOVE watching youtube ads in the middle of orchestra sets
Are you kidding, the ads are annoying, right in the middle of a soundtrack. Twisted enjoyment I guess
Amazing concert i am so glad I cought it. Oh.. jurissic park. Nostalgia
I attended Lakehead University in Thunder Bay Ontario Canada 🇨🇦....I studied music and mathematics.....now..years later....everything is mathematics....especially music 🎶
Hermosas melodías. Gracias 😊.
Absolutely fantastic.
When Spielberg did Schindler’s List he knew only one man could do the music and make it work. Itzhak Perlman was the first and only choice to do the soundtrack solo.
Type of music that transcends language

Well shoot. I already see that I'll have to spend a couple dozen hours.. rewatching some of these.
Amazing ❤️🙏🏾
What a wonderful orchestra !
Lovely concert but disappointed that Empire of the Sun was left out. Beautiful film and score.
Someone got a text at 20:51 - During Close Encounters of the Third Kind beautiful ending. Nice. Oh well. Happens to us all! ;-)
1:32:55 the one who makes me shiver the most damnn!
Jurassic Park hit me the hardest out of all of them
Beautiful Symphony, Accomplished Musicians, A Delightful Orchestration 🏆Kudos
Which orchestra is this?
@@leighr9383 Don't think a single member of the orchestra, including conductor is even 30 yet. An awful lot of talent for such a young cast.
Wow KooL, thank you!😇💘🐬
John Williams. What a man.
Thanks!
Best ever. Love it. ❤️🤗
Incrivel👏👏👏 ET faz voar e chorar! Só faltou as imagens.
I cant wait until my awesome music loving senior res see this sun instead of
"Travel log" (Activities assistant) .
Ps this is "bob" sewall's wife, meg
Same here, very emotional!
Magnificent! A complete shame it is not in Stereo!!
I agree. Stereo seems like a pretty basic concept in 2022.
Thank you 🙏
I remember having a Neeru Jacket like that back in the 70's.
I love John Williams music. Was kinda surprised Superman score was not included.
That wasn't directed by Steven Spielberg. That was a Richard Donner film.
@@les4767 Ah yes
Temple of Doom!!! Rarely performed live. Nice choice!!!
Yeah, what a feast❤❤❤
Glad they did The Lost World, so underrated
38:57 The Ultimate Hero in the Ultimate Adventure

around the 1 hr mark, you mention horse war... it's War Horse, FYI lol.
check out the original English lyrics of Anything Goes, for why it was done in Chinese for the youtube
Deliciasdecine ymusica gracias por la audicion
Love it ...
Nice but I thought Anything Goes was weak. Kate Capshaw's singing was far more exuberant and lively (although this may be due to the sound quality, which sounds a little muddy to me).
