Once again I'm sat in the warm enveloping darkness of our local cinema with my Mum and my Nan, transported to a world filled with love that finds its way. Happy memories.
Totally understand and totally agree. The cinema was such a wonderful palace in which we were transported to all corners of the world. And musicals were a huge part of my family's world. The comfort, the spectacle and the music would be so hard to find again today.
My father took me to the cinema to see these musicals when I was a little girl - I still cry every time I hear the music 60 years later
This great concert will be around for many years. All the wonderful people involved in the production of this video will be forever young. Their families will be able to see them for generations to come. Its a wonderful record of their talents. I hope every one in this video will be blessed. Thanks for the music.
Every single one of the songs played in the intro brings an instant smile to my face, and a warmth to my heart. And that’s before even a single note has been sung.
When I was a kid, we had 5 LPs at home, 3 of which were Rodgers & Hammerstein: Oklahoma, South Pacific and The King and I. I played them over and over and still know each song by heart over 60 years later. As an adult I've grown to appreciate many of these tracks as among the finest songs ever written, I absolutely love them. When my mum was still alive we used to belt out Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin' together. When I sing it now, it's difficult to hold back the tears. If there's one thing we need to thank the USA for, it's the music it has given the world. All of the genres of western popular music came out of its different geographical regions and multifarious ethnic groups. Musical theatre and films is my favourite genre.
Perfection with a capital "P"!!!!
I could have written the same comments as these. Also 60 years ago. The only three LPs my dad ever bought. Oh i forgot My Fair Lady, the theatre recording, not the film with Audrey (long before that).
I did the same and did my husband. We used to lie in bed in the dark at night and sing Broadway tunes together and we knew all the words. Think of what a gift those songs were to all of us!
You're very kind. Thank you! ~James 🌠USA
Very similar memories with my mum here. We also had Carousel and The Sound of Music in the collection. ❤
I lost count how many times I watched this video that I have locked in my Favorites list.
Anybody who's not in awe of this music and the performers must have a cobblestone for a heart
As a senior guy here in the USA, I'm so jealous that we don't have a concert series like the Proms in this country. All the variety and the enthusiasm of the artists involved is just remarkable to watch. It makes me want to move to Great Britain.
Lincoln Theatre?
@davidbowden796 Come over it's on at the royal albert hall on the 9th of September this year and enjoy it live. 🎉
@@Lady.B.ellinor4971 Bobby Thanks for your invite to Great Britain's Proms Season. I don't know if I could save enough that quick to get over there! Anyway, in watching this clip again I didn't make out from the commentary as to who the artist was who soared with "Climb Every Mountain" at the end. She sent chills all over me with that voice. Please let me know who she was. Thanks again!! David B
@@davidbowden796 well I hope you win the lottery 🤞and the singer is Kim criswell she is an American entertainer and actress and you're absolutely right about her voice it is exquisite.
@@Lady.B.ellinor4971 Boy, you certainly respond quickly. Thanks for the reply, I will have to Google her bio. I just assumed all the talent at the Proms were British. That's a real eye opener! Thanks again! David B
Julian's iterpretation of Soliloquy is the greatest I have ever heard. He was magnificent. A true artist. Brought tears to my eyes.
Just one word for John Wilson and his orchestra - BRILLIANT
J
It brings so much joy listening to this! John Wilson is brilliant and brought this music to a new level of aliveness for me!!! Thank you!
Oh what a.beatiful morning with singing like this. Bravo from Sydney Australia. Mum took me to all these movies as a kid here back in the 1950s.
This concert brings nothing but joy in an era when joy is hard to come by!
So beautiful, I am happy I was able to grow up with this music instead of the dark music of today.
As a little boy growing up in NYC, in the 60’s, I was lucky to have parents who were friends with Richard Rogers. On a few Christmas eves I sat at the foot of Mr. Rodgers as he played Christmas songs as only he could. I knew I was in the presence of a great man. Indelible in my memory, this music cuts right to my heart. These days it’s wonderful to cry. In joy.
Many thanks Jim, for sharing that wonderful story. What a great privelege to have been so close to one of the two---GREATEST, popular music writer's of all time.
It has been my belief for the last, nigh-on 60 years, that when R&H died, so did musical theater, with about three excellent exceptions. THEE most important content of their music, was the shere musicality of their songs, and great, often witty, narration of the lyrics, which , was a strong accompaniment to the story lines. Virtually ALL of the songs, were eagerly awaited, by most of the big singing stars of the era, who were almost garanteed, a big hit after they had recorded them. Few people left the theatres without singing or humming those songs. Compare that with today. It is very rare, for a new ''Musical'', to have more than one big hit, maybe two, the rest ? immediately forgettable. Thanks to the great John Wilson, and his superb Orchestra, we can hear those enequalled songs, as they were intended, and LIVE TOO.
What a fortunate person you were/are! What I would have given to have those experiences!!
Jim Downey Thanks, can't beat that!
I have always loved the music of Richard Rogers even though I am a classically trained pianist and love classical composers. My brother who has advanced degree from Juilliard in piano performance reminds me that Richard Rogers is a Juilliard alum. His music is heartbreakingly beautiful
wow
I’ve lived in Oklahoma for over 50 years and it’s all this song says it is. Plenty of space and good people.
When the show, "Oklahoma" opened on Broadway and the songs got on the radio, the whole country was enthralled. You couldn't go anywhere without hearing someone singing or whistling the songs. Our teachers at school had us singing them every day, especially, "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning!" We might have thought they were a part of Americana that had always been with us. At this time in our history, they were just what we needed to see the bright side of life during the times of war and recovery. It won't be forgotten as long as we're alive.
Oklahoma is a rousing song should be a Anthem of the state of Oklahoma. It gets me going and I am Welsh not American We Have Cwm Rhondda which is also a rousing Welsh Song as is the Welsh National Anthem they bring tears to my eyes as I am a proud Welsh Man. as I would be if I was from Oklahoma and the U.S.A.
Steve, thanks for sharing your great memories.
@@brianneale2006 Rest assured, just about every high school in the state of Oklahoma performs this musical every three to four years, if not annually. While its great to see major productions with great star performers, its wonderful to see high school productions as well. You would be surprised how competitive Oklahoma high school productions are concerning the best musical stage prop ever, the surrey with the fringe on the top....

I am watching this while under stay at home quarantine and being moved to tears with the hope we can soon all sing together, dance together, and gather together once again to enjoy wonderful concerts such as this.
I was born and raised in a once small paradise island of Jolo, Sulu, Philippines. I was Blessed to be a student of Notre Dame of Jolo Girl’s High school department. The Jesuit Marist bothers and Dominican sisters introduced us to Broadway musicals, and I could remember performances by combined students of Notre Dame of Jolo College, high school and elementary departments, held in a moderate size auditorium in our school, this happened during the 1960’s, and I could remember that they played “Oklahoma”, “Annie get your gun” which my elder sister was one of the performer, “South Pacific”, The King and I”, and “ The Sound of Music.
I would like to Thank you for uploading this video, this is the Best Theater Broadway musical I’ve ever seen, composed by the genius and God Given talent of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. The Amazing conductor with all members of the symphony orchestra, as well as all the fabulous singers with their beautiful voices were all magical to me. I wish that there will be new generations, more like those of Rodgers and Hammerstein. God Bless.
I remember as a child they showed The Sound of Music once a year on TV over two nights. The whole family stopped, and we sang along with the music. Every year before Easter, it was always, "They should be showing that soon," as we'd scan the TV guide. These are simply timeless in their themes, music, and lyrics. What a wonderful performance here.
As a teenager a sang on stage in shows now at 67 a miss those times at the time it was just something a enjoyed well no a loved it West side Story Oklahoma Carousel South Pacific Sound of Music there were some very talented people involved where did all those years go

The BBC Proms is the largest classical music festival in the world! And what better venue than to present the greatest collaboration of the two finest creators of American musicals than Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein?! The John Wilson Orchestra is absolutely superb!!
I can imagine it.
“Captains log: The enterprise was happy to host, L’Orchestra, to send us of on its journey”
Saw Carousel live in Los Angeles when I was a young girl. I cried all the way home it was so beautiful, and the story so touching. Listened to the record so many times I still remember all the lyrics to every song.
This is an historical experience! Those of us who are watching youTube or sitting in the Proms, grew up with Rodgers and Hammerstein and they became part of our daily lives. I believe our DNA is wired to enjoy these two brilliant souls. May they know, somehow, how much they are part of us.
♥️
Mount Nebo, I love your comment that "our DNA is wired to enjoy these two brilliant souls." You nailed it. When I was a small child, I had no idea that two human beings created these melodies and lyrics. I thought they sprang up from Nature. Only Nature had the power to create such beauty and perfection that could impact our hearts and minds forever. Though in a way, Rodgers and Hammerstein are like Natural Wonders whose magnificence continue to inspire mere mortals.
@@susanfong2418 Yes, true, although Richard Roger's was originally teamed with Lorenz Hart, creating stage musicals in the 1920' and 30's. Richard Roger's then combined with Oscar Hammerstein 2nd, in the 1940's, till his death in late 1979, aged 77. He wrote over 900 songs, and won every award for his craft, possible.
Absolutely!!!
I used to sing all these songs to my children...and then theyd laugh and repeat them back.... especially from Carousel!!!!!
“Some enchanted evening” always brings tears to my eyes. I recall the days of hope for my parents. My dad lived South Pacific, an officer with the Navy.
My father also...good memories of men who lived through hard times and did their jobs.
Oh! Wow! This Concert reminds me of my days in Penn High School Choir in Penn Hills, (Pittsburgh, Pa. in 1954- to graduation1956).
I had the privilege to sing these songs with our High School Choir; it was later my privilege to be Choir Director under the keen guidance of Mrs. Merhoaf. I am in tune with these great songs from Oklahoma. At the age of 84, the music is yet a crescendo of memories to me.
BBC proms is wonderful
Involved in an old high school production of Oklahoma 57 years ago - Still proud of it 😔. Thanks for the Memories !
Such great memories of what great musical theatre was. Thank you so very much..will be singing them through my day, as I used to many moons ago. Blessings always Music Sweet 🎼 Music 🎶 💫💜💫
The musicians are thoroughly enjoying themselves. Their energy brings so much sparkle to the performance.
BBC has quality performances. Thank you.
So different to current popular Proms.
my 8 siblings and I grew up singing all these R&H movie musical songs. That passion kept us connected even now that we are all seniors. Nine of us would be asked to sing at parties (acapella or with guitar) in four voices, without prior practice. I always do solo, songs like "If I Loved You", "Climb Every Mountain" etc. It is indeed a blessing to be able to appreciate music, a lifetime enjoyment. Thank you for this precious concert.
Indeedee : will NEVER go out of fashion. Such music is eternal.
IT JUST DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS...
I'm 77 tomorrow but I love this music. The Orchestration is first class. Thanks John Wilson. 👍🙂💛

Yes the Brits now to put a good show on.
I think these videos will be around long after we are all gone. A great concert.
What a beautifully prepared, rehearsed and offered R&H program of some of their wonderful musical shows, I grew up loving, and will until I die...what a legacy that duo gave us...and how well the orchestra players and skilled singers/portrayers of their unforgettable characters!! I can’t thank you enough for the company this music gave me as I raked the lawn this evening, singing at the top of my voice!

One of the most incredible arrangements I've ever heard!
Had it not been for those prophetic words, "Once you have found her, never let her go..." I might not have had 55 years years of marital bliss with my wonderful Sweetheart!

OF course, bravo to the conductor, John Wilson !!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU !!!!!! Robert April 26, 2020.
Born 1944 in Brooklyn. This was the pop music when I was a kid. I still remember some of the lyrics. It was on the radio all the time. When TV came in this was the music that was played, sung by the biggest Broadway stars. That was the the good old days! In H.S. we got tickets to Broadway shows for $2. We could borrow the sheet music from the library.
You have lived an enviable life during a veritable Golden Age. On top of everything else it happened in NYC. When I was a child I thought of New York as an impossible dream. So when I finally got there in college I walked its streets with great enthusiasm. It remains a source of great inspiration.
What beautiful music and lyrics, took me back to the 50s listening to the music I grew up with, music was so much part of our lives then
After Armagedon , Apocaliosis a new world under the direction of Jesus Crist, all the most wonderful music, and things will be a reality. No more sickness, hunger , war, or death. JEHOVA ve praised.
I was already in awe, and then Sierra came on stage......goddess
I love the sounds of woodwinds, brass and strings...don't want to live if there a time when it is replaced by digital. Hope that we will always have beautiful music like this.
I played Will Parker in Oklahoma, Dr. Li in Flower Drum Song - both musicals a joy to be in and part of my past memory. They had such a huge impact on our society and shaped the future of Broadway forever. So much memorable music, so many memorable tunes, the beautiful harmonies with such moving words. Oklahoma, South Pacific, Flower Drum Song, The King and I, The Sound of Music, Cinderella - each one full of so many great moments in musical history.
@William
The American musicals will go on forever , so entertaining, so polished ,so funny and sometimes so sad it tears at your heart strings l will watch them forever .
Me sinto dentro do extinto Metrô Boavista, que fechou como tantas boas casas de espetáculos.
Such glorious performances of Rodges and Hammerstein's opuses. How lucky are we.
This is what I call class with a happy smile!
Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein were just pure genius's their musicals were and still are absolutely fabulous and Will FOREVER be timeless, I grew up on these musicals and just adore their work and when I have the opportunity to sing one of their songs it is so thrilling, the music and the lyrics continue to be spell binding and this orchestration and the incredible talented performers bring the works of Mr Richard Rogers and Mr Oscar Hammerstein back to life such a FABULOUS tribute. bravo

I have listened to this music and this program every day for the last two weeks. It is magnificent. thank you to John Wilson, his orchestra, the magnificent singers, especially Sierra Boggess. thank you for celebrating Rodgers and Hammerstein. I grew up with all of their musicals and to this day, appreciate every note and every lyric. Wish Broadway could be the same today as it was then.
Applies to me too as I was born in 1943 so I grew up when they were on the stage in various theatres in the West end of London and on Broadway. and the influence of my Mother and Father who also liked that sort of music and song on the radio and on the gramophone or record playerAnd my father played the Spanish guitar in a small orchestra when he was younger
I too grew up with Rodgers and Hammerstein. My mom and dad were huge fans and I was as well. Every note and lyric is simply magical and shall forever live in my heart. I wish Broadway could be more reflective of the Rodgers and Hammerstein tradition as you do.
Her voice is exquisite.
Julian Ovenden and Sierra Boggess... just lovely.
Sierra Boggess was a real find for me during the pandemic. She was wonderful in this and spectacular later as Christine in Phantom.
Don’t forget Ariel 🧜🏻♀️
For me as well.
Yes she seems to have the "I can sing anything" type of voice. Classically trained, etc.

Hopefully this and other concerts will be available to us for as long as people have the good sense and taste to appreciate this wonder music.
Quite simply a superb performance of some of the astounding creations of Rodgers and Hammerstein.
Thank you to Rodgers snd Hammerstein and thank you too to all lovers of the american and british musical genre.
Jim: I feel like i'm in Royalty. I'm 79 and no stranger to Richard Rogers' music. He always brings me back to my youth on the farm. Thanks for your posting.
This performance is beyond words! I"ll watch it again & again.
I set this music to play when I go to sleep...and I wake up to a beautiful day.
ME TOO...
As much as I adore this music I am in awe at the composers. Just imagine having tunes like these rolling around in your head, a miracle to my way of thinking, both words and music. Bravo isn’t nearly strong enough to describe my appreciation.
Hammertstein wrote most of the lyrics and Rogers the music. A story I read, told of them working on "South Pacific". Rogers telephoned Hammerstein one morning and said he needed put a song in where Bloody Mary was trying to lure Lt. Cable over to an island off limits to servicemen.
It took Hammerstein about 20 minutes to drive to Rogers' home, and in that time he'd composed "Bali Ha'i "
Amazingly, Rodgers was equally successful with Hart before Hammerstein (Pal Joey is still performed), and Hammerstein was quite successful with Kern and others before Rodgers (Showboat is still performed).
I've just stumbled on the John Wilson Orchestra videos and HOW LUCKY AM I? They are absolutely wonderful. I play dinner music at a local aged care home twice a week and all these songs are included in my repertoire. They are magnificent. There is rarely anything like them now - although music from the Phantom of the Opera does come to mind. Thank you, whoever you are, for posting them on RUclips. You have made my day (and week and month and year). 👏
What beautiful and glorious voices and music - stunning performances! The immortal music of Rodgers and Hammerstein!
I'm 66 years old and it seems that I have listened to these songs and music all my life. Beautiful. These music makes me happy especially during those times when I'm down and out. Will always be grateful to the composers and everyone who kept them going.
What a beautiful a group of performers well chosen by the organisers and the orchestra playing music the way it was ment to be played.
I'm watching this while under (Covid19-imposed) "house arrest". This is the most wonderful concert! Full of memories of life in the decades following WWII.
Amen,to that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t feel like I am under house arrest, this is my first vacation in 20 years.

This is music for the soul! Of course, the conductor, orchestra, musicians, soloists and choir are wonderfully excellent, the best of the best, and there have been many compliments to all these people, as there should be! Here, I would like to praise Oscar Hammerstein for his memorable lyrics and even more for the brilliant music of Richard Rodgers! How could Mr. Rodgers, along with Mr. Hammerstein’s lyrics, compose such stunning, emotional and technically perfect music and write so much of it during his lifetime! What an amazing talent that created some of the best music ever! A lot of people grew up with this music, as I did, and it has made such a difference in our lives. If you have problems in your life, which we all have, listening to or singing or playing the music of these great musicals, allows you to soar above your problems not just for a few minutes but for a very long time, as you continue to hear and feel the music inside your head! Bravo and Encore!
Awesome, Amazing, I can not find words.........
What a beautiful morning sung by Gordon McCrea, takes me back to a summer morning on my way to work with the car windows down and this song on full blast. Carousel Is my favourite musical of all the works of Rodgers an Hammersteins collaborations.

@@mikelastname1220 in Vegas when he was doing his act?
@@evanwoodham6296 No, surprisingly, it was here in my small hometown of Bowling Green, KY. He had come along with Anna Maria Albergetti, to headline a show at our local theater. We (a group of us local citizens) bought a closed OLD movie theater to keep it from the wrecking ball, and had converted it to a live performance traditional theater. This was a fund raiser even and the night for the grand opening celebration. I say again, I was so surprised as to how nice they both were at just sitting at a table with lowly me and talking to me as if they were actually super happy to be with us for this event, and how easy it was to just sit and talk about a lot of things. One thing that impressed me just as much, was this lady who was with us. She was the piano accompanist for them and it took awhile but eventually found out I had heard her piano playing previously in a movie. She was the player for the famous music of "Dr. Zhivago".!!! I LOVED THAT piano music she provided and I actually targeted HER for more questions and answers than I did the two stars. She was one of those famous people we never get to know about, so I gave her my devotion that night. I wanted her to know how appreciative I was for her talents.
@@mikelastname1220 In my opinion, Gordon had the greatest , beatifully warm, and most musical tone to his voice, ever. Many have expressed favour for Howard Keel, he had without doubt, a great and powerful voice, but too lacking in subtleness and sweet tones for my liking..
Beautiful songs. Lots of memories with these musicals. Very enjoyable. Rogers & Hammerstein knew how to make the music move you heart and soul.
I love this concert. Wilson has a vision. It is wonderful.
The Carousel Waltz Suite is my most favorite R&H instrumental piece. I’ve heard it so many times on CD’s and records, but never saw a close-up orchestra performance such as this one. The John Wilson Orchestra performs with so much joy and enthusiasm, that it’s not only music heaven to my ears, but an incredible sight to see the amazing talents of each musician, playing their individual instrument to perform this beautiful R&H masterpiece. I usually see other orchestra musicians appear very serious with their instrument playing, but this group exuberantly performs with much joy, smiles and true emotions which comes through in their music. What an incredible treat to see this Proms performance of R&H music! Thank you, thank for putting it on RUclips! I love it so much! 💗🎵💚🎹💛🎭💜🎶🧡🎪💗🩰🎷🎡🎀👒🎶📯♥🎷🎺🥁🎵🎼🔔😊
Just Brilliant!!!

When one stops and considers the fact that virtually every one of these musicians and vocalists grew up playing each and every one of these songs during school years and in private lessons while learning their art, its no wonder all of them appear so happily touched by these lovely arrangements, and so obviously happy to perform their parts in this show. No other song writter or songwritting team has been as prolofic or had greater impact on the universe of musical arts.

With this music I fall asleep dreaming of my new wife, the Musician, Rachel Flowers. And then,
Oh, What a Beautiful Morning!
Guten Nacht
Mike
In my youth my Mother and Father always took me to the Hollywood Bowl for Rogers and Hammerstein and Gerswin night. I love this music and I am so thankful my parents made sure that good music was always part of my life. I ended up in the music business and know that music is a contributer to an overall education. I can't imagine life without music.
My first time hearing Julian Ovenden - Just Amazing voice & personality &... he's got me out of my Covid Slump... :) Can't wait to see him in person.
I want to, as well, yes. He astounds always.
I prefer s as more robust sound for “Oh, what a beautiful morning” like Gordon McCrae.
R&H are as magnificent and timeless as G&S was in the 19th c, each were destined for the other as they combined the perfect wedding of words and music. Music that touches your heart and carries you through life.
Many fine and wonderful moments, but the overture to THE SOUND OF MUSIC made me shiver from joy.
A joyous celebration of two of Broadways most famous composers. A real treat
There are no words....and none needed from me.....superb, though, does spring to mind...
The lady singing "People will say we're in love", has such a beautiful clear voice.
Really beautifully done with amazing intelligent people who care for dignity and humanity. Thank you so very much. Please keep this going for our wonderful American spirit.
That is Sierra Boggess
@@fannybuster Thank you so much.
She also starred in Phantom
Hats off to the orchestra. They play from start to finish. Great job!
Vocalists wonderful. Maestro Great job as well!
Thanks to all participants for this treat!🙂⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘
Thank you for this wonderful concert . It brings back so many beautiful memories of the past. Nothing like the old movies and the music of Rogers and Hammerstein ! EVERGREEN and so very nostalgic......
What caused all this gorgeous music to stop being produced? We need it now more than ever.
Folks like wap. I hate wap music ☹️
@@ehm2943 NOT music
Two things, All that writing genius, died. And public tastes changed, i.e. the teen years of the 50's/ 60/s mostly, and younger parents wanted to look hip too.
Wonderful!
Lack of talent to write it, lack of talent to perform it, lack of interest to have performing arts programs in public schools. Sad, sad and more sad.
Fabulous concert -- what a joy!!
What a magnificent orchestra
It's surreal to have this show available in front of our eyes. The cinematographer did a great job too, giving life to instruments and the artists visually other than the colorful music that we hear. Their conductor John Wilson swinging and floating on every note they play, no wonder why this orchestra is phenomenal.
Such beautiful music from a great orchestra, I can listen to it over and over.
Thank you for this wonderful music. Takes me back to Saturday afternoon with my mother singing out hearts out or swashbuckling a buck with Earrol Finn Your sound of your orchestra is just like the films, warm soft and no one grandstanding, a single organism. Thank you, thank you
When I hear this music it makes me smile. I have such amazing memories of hearing all their music growing up and still today. Those musicals were such a part of my youth and even now. It brings out the romantic spirit in all of us. I wish kids today had the same to hear and relate to. I have seen productions of these musicals in many wonderful venues and never have been disappointed. Thank you so much for having this available!
REAL MUSIC PLAYED BY MUSICAL ARTISTS.
More Sierra Boggess! She is a pure joy.
Pure Gold. Priceless
One word: OUTSTANDING!!!
The genius and spirit that John Wilson amplifies in his arrangements are evident in the animation of his orchestra. Never want this to end.
❤🎶💫🎵
We need more Orchestras, NOT Guitars & howling Coyote's with Microphones, I listen & Watch Musicles when they are on TV or on Stage.
Great concert, and bravo to John Wilson for his work putting it all together. Great orchestra, great performers. To pick just one in particular, Sierra is simply astonishing. What a talent. Takes one's breath away.
I think this is the 5th time I’ve watched this. Julian Ovenden and Sierra Bogess are magic and just nail the beauty of Rogers and Hammerstein. R&H were my first taste of musicals as a kid and will always be the best of the best of Broadway.
Julian is too short for basketball I'm glad he sings.
Love hearing any Rodgers and Hammerstein music. This is fantastic.
I saw "South Pacific" (the movie) in 1958, I was 10, just knocked me out! Bought the album!
Have you seen the Great Performances rendition? Stars Reba--yes, she could have been a diva on Broadway, I swear it--& Brian Stokes Mitchell, along w/ an all star cast. Beautiful .
Loved all their music. Such good memories.
So fabulous. What music! What joy during such a difficult time
Next to the Classical Masters, ROGERS & HAMMERSTEIN'S
music will live through the
ages! So pleased to hear this
wonderful music...brings back
memories and this concert will
make more. My sincere thanks
to all who contributed time and
talent for this presentation.
Wonderful!!
JOHN WILSON AND HIS SPECTACULAR CREW.. THE EIGHTH WONDER OF THE WORLD.. Thankyou ❤️
Simply fabulous , orchestra, chorus and singers. Thank you
