Okay ..Carcass..! Unmatched..Bill Steers ..solo on this song is Fukin sick ..! Carcass..is hands down..one of the most underrated Metal bands of all time..thanks boys..forever grateful 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
This is a song about a tool/gun used to paralyze cattle before they are slaughtered. What makes it a death metal song is that the lyrics portray the captive bolt pistol being used on humans, who are described as cattle. A great song, very witty lyrics.....and yet fucked-up at the same time.
I agree, you can't really have a death metal song about how depressed you are about your ex-old lady or something Maybe in a Country song, but in a metal song it has to be about hardcore shit. They did well on this.
Frak yeah, sometimes the lyric videos are so full of spinning and "artsy" lyric texts that one cannot actually follow them. And sometimes "actual" videos aren't even half as cool as this!
1:14 This is why the early 90's metal bands were so, so good: they could make you picture a bolt pistol pointed to your head just with their lyrics alone. Genius.
This whole album is awesome front to back find it gets better as the album goes along, fantastic production and killer heavy riffs throughout the whole album.
Well think about it. This is metal, and you really can't write lyrics about you broken heart or you new girlfreind . No, subject matter in a metal song should be about hardcore shit.A good metal song's lyrics should fit the song like the glove. And all he is talking about here is how fucked up the meat industry is. It just takes a little imagination and a little knowledge. I don't know how you spend your time, but one thing I caught on to is this. Knowledge is power. I am 52. When I was younger I spent my time like a lot of foolish young men, chasing pussy, getting drunk and acting like an asshole. But life didn't get easier, it got tougher, so I don't do much of that shit nowadays. I spend a lot of time reading about all kinds of shit, politics, other countries, anything scientific, and technology and engineering. So I suggest you do the same-it certainly makes one more interesting
Saw them in Montreal on April 9th... 2 days later the "self inflected whiplash" is in full effect. Being a fan for over 20+ yrs these guys are TRUE METAL LEGENDS! Long live CARCASS!
i haven't been this excited about a new album in a while!!! I used to be so 'freaked out' by Carcass when i was a thrasher in the 90's...now, I am older and cannot believe how much I allowed myself to miss out on~!
Typically lyric videos get less views than actual music videos. So brilliant decision to include Bill actually playing the song on guitar in this video! And look at that, it's closing in on 900k views!
I get the necrocticism vibe. You cant fault the guys for being better at their instruments. The more I listen to this album the more I love it and my favorite songs changed when I read the lyrics. I feel they did an A+ on this album.
FYI, I just noticed in the video after a bajillion viewings, the captive bolt pistol is made by a company called Hilti, who is primarily known for its heavy duty construction tools and fastening/anchoring technologies, so the relationship between the pistol and the company seemed a bit odd to me at first. Mostly I've used their hammer drills but remembered that, on occasion, I needed their DX 460 Power Actuated Nailer to fasten framing sill plates into concrete. Like the captive bolt pistol, it fires a retractable metal bolt with a blank gunpower load but drives nails not a rod thru a cow's skull. I mention it because this tool and hammer drills are some of the most frequently rented tools by DIYers. So, let's say you are DIYing a basement remodel, and are a vegetarian or vegan, you may, if so inclined, want to avoid Hilti products all together or make sure any other brands of power actuated nailers (Ramset and Remington come to mind) are not involved with captive bolt pistol production.
Really cool vid guys!!! SOOOOO cool that CARCASS is kicking ass and taking names again. A couple of close up on the solo wouldn't hurt on the next one!
I can´t stop listen to this.I am early and also new days fan,but never expected they are back again with a new album...I ´m happy I´m still alive to listen to these masters again.Carcass are not followers, they are leaders !
Fucking adore the themes and lyrics of this song that's basically saying this weapon, which is used on cattle, if applied to humans would mean a fate worse than death.
First of all: I apologize, First time I hear this stuff I criticised it as being "too mainstream"... but after hearing the whole thing once and again (and again, and again....) I am totally in awe of the utter awesomeness of the whole album. I dislike some mannerisms of some bands when they grow too popular and run out of fresh ideas, which is specially true in melodic DM bands... and in this album you have them all: Breakdowns with spoken parts "Core" style, "power-metalish" riffs that would sound good with any Heavy Metal band.. some song structures and lyrics resembling some of the "funnier" thrash metal bands... BUT: This guys have taken all that together and while others would have make oure shit with these ingredients Carcass makes FUCKING ALCHEMY. Best of 2013? Maybe, surely!!!. I mean, fuck I can't stop listening to this fucking album!!! \m/ Here I go again (from the first song, and autorepeat ON) !!!
How funny, they mention Dr Temple Grandin at 2.38 and yesterday I just order that Movie. Its about a Women with Autism and I have a 6 year old Daughter with Autism, and I think after this my Wife is going to be a Carcass fan lol. CARCASS 4 LIFE !!!!!
They sound Just Like Carcass to me... Considering the age these guys have put on since their last album, i would say this is a damn fine homecoming for this classic metal band ~ :D
Goddamn this sounds so amazing. It's been ages since I last listened to Carcass, but I remember it didn't sound so good. This song/video made me pleased.
How was Orlando?? Seeing them tomorrow night (March 25th) - its also been since fucking forever since I've seen them, back with Cathedral a LONG time ago in Los Angeles... See you in the PIT in Santa Ana, CA
How canon eband invent 3 genre's of metal??? Co-invented grindcore, melodic Deathmetal, and "Surgical Deathmetal", absolutely insane lyrics!!!!!!!!!! CANNOT WAIT TO FINALLY SEE THEM NEXT MONTH IN PHILLY!!!!!!!!!
Probably one of the most melodic death/grind bands to ever come out of the UK. Pioneers of the genre right up next to napalm death they deserve so much credit for thousands of bands that exist today would not be there without carcass (or napalm death.Bill Steer did get around so did Michael Amott).....
Awesome karaoke track for the upcoming bithday party of my daughter!
thanks for add me on FB. nice day to you friend !!
It might teach her how the farming industry kills livestock. You'd be doing a useful thing.
Wouldn't a karaoke version not have any lyrics?
Perfect song for a birthday party!
Dual guitars, blindingly fast dual solos. Perhaps the best duo in rock/metal history?
Okay ..Carcass..!
Unmatched..Bill Steers ..solo on this song is Fukin sick ..!
Carcass..is hands down..one of the most underrated Metal bands of all time..thanks boys..forever grateful 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
All in all, I'd say carcass is the very pinnacle of metaldom.
Impressive. They haven't lost any of the magic they had back in the day. Can't say the same for most other bands.
Bolt Thrower did pretty good, they split last year.
A break did them well, so they didn't burn out.
02:13 Bill Steer is a genious

+Grant Steffy, Jr. completing your last sentence . . . just as human beings
Didn't have to scroll far to find an explanation. Thanks.
I agree, you can't really have a death metal song about how depressed you are about your ex-old lady or something
Maybe in a Country song, but in a metal song it has to be about hardcore shit. They did well on this.
Carcass was the original vegan death metal band.
Yeah, Man.
Damn, just listen to the brutality of that guitar!!!!!!
Glad to hear & happy early birthday! Thanks a lot for your support!
This stretches the limits of a ‘lyric video’, it’s better than some ‘actual’ videos I’ve seen.
Frak yeah, sometimes the lyric videos are so full of spinning and "artsy" lyric texts that one cannot actually follow them. And sometimes "actual" videos aren't even half as cool as this!
These lyrics are insanely awesome. So cold and steely. Killer.
2:12-2:30 is sick.
1:14 This is why the early 90's metal bands were so, so good: they could make you picture a bolt pistol pointed to your head just with their lyrics alone. Genius.
They are from Way before the 9os, check their back catalog
@@WilliamDurrant-km4gdYou made me laugh, but thanks for the tip. 😂
This whole album is awesome front to back find it gets better as the album goes along, fantastic production and killer heavy riffs throughout the whole album.
The video makes the song so much better especially the parts of the guitar and bass closes ups...brutally mesmerizing
These guys have the best song titles holy shit
You need a degree in pharmacology, medical surgery and paramedics just to understand a Carcass song.
Abdel Halim Chehab right bro

just by listening to carcass i think were all qualified morticians
How about, stfu?
This song is about a slaughter house, it's not about any of those things.
Love the thumbnail of the 007 pose he is doing.
" The name is Walker-Jeff Walker"
Stoked for tonight's show in Orlando; the day before my birthday! :) I saw them play 22 years ago on the Campaign for Musical Destruction Tour.
well happy birthday!
God, this was when Carcass melted my face off automatically without noticing!!!!

Watson's wondering if this is really music.. No. It's more than music it's DEATH METAL ! Hell yeaah
Saw them in Montreal on April 9th...
2 days later the "self inflected whiplash" is in full effect.
Being a fan for over 20+ yrs these guys are TRUE METAL LEGENDS! Long live CARCASS!

Finally and old school Death Metal band back ... you have been sorely missed Carcass. See you in 013 in Tilburg.
One of the best albums of the year!
Album of the year!
The most CARCASS-esk song since heartwork!
ОТЛИЧНО...... не хуже heartwork, и себе не изменили)))))!!!!!!
Best lyric video ever. This is the new standard.
This is exactly the kind of music I was looking for.
Brutal!
i haven't been this excited about a new album in a while!!! I used to be so 'freaked out' by Carcass when i was a thrasher in the 90's...now, I am older and cannot believe how much I allowed myself to miss out on~!

This album turned out very good
Damn these dudes are bad ass, so excited to check out their other material.
that was just badass.
Jesus, Bill Steer is amazing.
such inventive lyrics...
Simply the best band I've ever had the pleasure of seeing live.
Carcass never disappointed, very Awesome ,year after year, album after album! Carcass Rules
I get the necrocticism vibe. You cant fault the guys for being better at their instruments. The more I listen to this album the more I love it and my favorite songs changed when I read the lyrics. I feel they did an A+ on this album.
A glorious return for the legendary Carcass.
heartwork is probably my fav top 3 albums of all time...I cannot wait for this
0:00 only carcass can make a major scale riff sound death metal as fuck
Muy buen tema de esta memorable banda me quedé sin palabras...
finally,after 20years of waiting,new record is here.Good Luck!
A most welcome return! Glad to see that they still have the goods!
Siempre será mí banda favorita.
The experience and essence remains for more than 20 years
Jeff's lyrics and Bill's playing make this album a 10 for me. Im a big fan of Ken's but Wilding does a great job filling in the beats.

Been awhile since I've been this stoked for a new album.
Love this album. Thank you for making this music!
Really cool vid guys!!! SOOOOO cool that CARCASS is kicking ass and taking names again. A couple of close up on the solo wouldn't hurt on the next one!

Staggering. Massive load of Carcass best invention and grindy feel. Honey for earz!
One of the best melodic death metal albums, and is actual. BRUTAL \m/
YES! :)
With all that research those dudes must be excellent first responders. I feel very safe on their concerts
Nice to hear this record will hit the stores on my 18th birthday :) sounds like Carcass is back!
This is f'kin AWESOME. Carcass!!
Exactly right!
SO reminiscent of old Carcass lyrics, where you needed a medical journal to figure out just what the lyrics were about.
I can´t stop listen to this.I am early and also new days fan,but never expected they are back again with a new album...I ´m happy I´m still alive to listen to these masters again.Carcass are not followers, they are leaders !
Never thought I'd hear a song about Hilti... well, they deserve being sung about
Pleeeaaassseee Nuclear Blast: make sure you ship a couple of thousand of this album to South Africa!!!! ASAP \m/
Why yes it is. Good catch! Great tune none the less
The beast is back.
2:13 hahah what the fuck sounds so amazing its like a riff made from shredding
I find it fitting that Sarevok listens to Carcass (yeah, replying to a 2 y.o. comment, I know...)
Outstanding! Will surely buy this album.
Fucking adore the themes and lyrics of this song that's basically saying this weapon, which is used on cattle, if applied to humans would mean a fate worse than death.
So very metal indeed!
Thanks , I try.
If I weren't an almost lifelong veggie, Carcass'd do a good job of converting me.
ALL HAIL THE RETURN OF THE GREAT CARCASS!!! \m/\m/
Been a fan since '99 and still loving the music you guys produce..
Love the use of ferrofluid here, very fitting.
Every Carcass video should have lyrics posted.
Brilliant brilliant work
Dear Carcass - how to suppress sheer love? Cannot remember times when new LP (whatever music it was) made me so much delighted :)

Damn, that build up to the explosive part.....
*Me:*
(0) Survivers left the pit!
Hit the wall on the treadmill and made it thanks to Carcass
Love that riff behind the first solo. \m/
This is one of the coolest songs ever -- exactly why Carcass f$cking RULES. A song about a captive bolt pistol. Evil and brilliant.
Fucking amazing song. Probably the best one on the album. Thank you, Mr. Walker for giving us crusty old fuckers another taste of your brilliance.
They sound Just Like Carcass to me...
Considering the age these guys have put on since their last album, i would say this is a damn fine homecoming for this classic metal band ~ :D
one word for me and the followers of Carcass
BLOODSTOCK
Times change, so does the production quality of music.
Love carcass!!

Y pensar que van a estar en Manizales-Colombia este domingo :')
Nuclearblast should consider releasing this in Brazil. I had to pay 42 dollars to get the album.
It´s brilliant! Been a huge Carcass fan since Reek of putrifaction and seen them live 4 times! No idea why they had such a leangthy hiatous though?
NO idea mate, but it was worth the waiting. This album is a classic already.
bill steer left to do blues music because he said that "metal was for teenagers" :P
***** LOL, and blues is for old retired guys (not really, but just to piss him off)
Du pur bonheur pour les oreilles
Probably one of the most melodic death/grind bands to ever come out of the UK.
