I still play Mappy to this day (Also I remember getting an extra life almost at the end of the bonus stage) also Sharp-2500 is gotta be my favorite version
How are we supposed to know when the music ends? Also, on an unrelated note, I miss the days when computers and consoles were drastically different than one another. Gave each port their own personality.
No, they did not. Here's proof the soundtrack could have been MUCH better from the same console using a similar game based on Doraemon. ruclips.net/video/P5_L_r5u9DQ/видео.htmlsi=LClRMv3QdhdLL4b3
It would also be really cool if Namco/Namcot also ported Mappy on the Sega Master System and Sega Genesis. I've always wondered what Master System version, Genesis version and SNES version of Mappy could've been like. I think Mappy Arrangement is the closest we'll get to an answer about the SNES version, but still.
The Super Cassette Vision port could have had a better soundtrack... the console was more than and has been capable of playing decent music with the PCM-based chip it had!
In the case of the Super Cassette Vision, I’m sure it’s an emulation issue. I’ve seen videos where the music plays at the correct speed, but the gameplay is insanely fast.
10:23: Mappy Arrangement
Ah yes, the bonus stage in Mappy. I almost never got the big cat balloon at the end.
I think the Sharp MZ-2500 version had the best sounding Bonus Stage Music! It's so beautiful! 🥹
While the bonus ost is a actually on RUclips, same can’t be said with the Mappy sharp-2500 theme, sad.
2:35 "STTNG"

The arcade (Namco classic collection Vol. 1) music is beautiful as well. It just gave me great hearing! 😮

The composers didn’t even try on 3:29
Didn't help that the sound effects were constantly interfering
No, they did not. Here's proof they could have done far better on the SAME console. ruclips.net/video/P5_L_r5u9DQ/видео.htmlsi=LClRMv3QdhdLL4b3

Super Casette make me concousle
The later ones are damn near impossible. The arranged version is a really cool twist on it.
I better play MAPPY again 😹.
Luckily, i still have that game for the
PlayStation 2 in a compilation called
NAMCO MUSEUM 😺👍🕹️.
Mappy is such a really fun game :)

Ok
I’m glad that Namco or Namcot ported Mappy on Game Gear cuz I love playing classic arcades on SEGA Systems

@@retrofan4963 Or they should port namco classic collection vol 1 and 2 on 32bit system like SEGA Saturn and PS1 that would be better
That's after you complete Rounds 1 and 2
Best music in Mappy feel free to fight me
No Atari 2600 version? It looks great!
This video only covers the official released versions. The 2600 port, as amazing as it is, is still an unofficial fan-made port.
al fin otro video de mappy😅
I wonder how Tom Brier would improvise on Mappy music.
Harming cats in this game? I love it 😈
that’s troubling
@@dreamcasterrrr lol that’s just my opinion

Freaking smug looking cat balloons.
THERE IS AN ATARI 2600 VERSION.
So... The Atari 2600 port...
2:15 wall of gozenso
