I never thought of using that deck for RPGs ... only for board or war-games. Thanks for the ideas and showing your take on it! Will definitely give it a try!
VERY cool! I bought these cards and sleeved (and shelved) them a while back. I had thought of using them in solo RPG play or maybe Hoplomachus. I like the idea of using it with Dungeon Saga to get some more mileage out of that game.
Interesting...I'm looking for various ways of playing solo RPGs so ya I'll look into. I did find Ironsworn fairly decent, though at times it's a bit muddy if I hit or not, vise versa and a few other rules or lack of, great for moving a story along over all.
I also agree this could be great for wargaming as well. Add these cards to add AI suggestions/focus for an 'opponent' using the 'blind swords' chit draw system, for example, and it could be awesome.
i just bought Mythic 2e. so far so great! another solo tool i could not recommend more. have you used mythic in your play ever? im currently running a solo Dungeon Crawl Classic campaign with mythic as the oracle. super fun.
I have found this as a great freaking system for my board games it really shines for games like memoir44 where know the deck will select movements and tatics and I have gotten my ass handed to me plenty of times using this system for that. Any type of game it can be utilized its just becoming familiar with the deck and tweaking it to your playing style.
@@artichokedip9150 Ok, great for movement games. I tried it for the 1st time the other day with Gears of War the card game. I just ended up playing 2 handed...maybe because many of the choices were fairly obvious. Or maybe because I was doing everything while recording it ...but meh. I'll try it again, so already knowing the deck is the key, 🤔.
@@foyoGames The deck is broken into four different sections so if you are using a mini skirmish or wargame the tatics and strategy are best for this drawing a single card from each pile and using them that way. The personality and probability section of the deck work well for NPC's or main antagonist in your RPG games or if you are playing a game like war of the ring this will determine how your opponent will gather resources and there motives throughout the game it takes a bit to add to your games but like anything solo use what works for you do not let the deck hinder you in anyway they are just mere suggestions for whatever game you are using them for hope this helps and game on my friend
