I cut my hair using this technique for a few years after seeing the Brad Mondo video. I had very long hair, mid bum, and I wanted layers. The stylist told me it was too long for her to layer, so I did it myself. And as a bonus, it came to a point in the back which I had always thought was a cool look. It was very hard to cut because of the length so I had it cut to below my shoulders and I love having less work. You, by the way, look lovely with the cut and way you style it!
Hey, Lou! Turned out gorgeous(says former hairdresser).... I remember when Miss A cut your hair. Ooh the laughs then. I hope everyone is healthy, well and happy! Have a great one. xoxo
The first hair cut I gave myself was the Dorothy Hamill wedge cut after a night of sambuka shots at uni. Went from long to what the hell did I do with just a few swacks of the scissors. Everyone loved it, I got used to it and I've been cutting my own hair all these many years since. Yours looks gorgeous.
Your hair turned out great...though you started out with a fabulous head of hair as is. Thanks for this tutorial, since I tried watching the Brad Mondo tutorial and was way too distracted with his chatter. I love your DIY videos whether they are for new haircuts, or home design.💕
Love your hair! You did a great job! I am going to see my hairdresser this week and if she won’t cut it like that, I’ll be hacking away when I get home .
I cut my hair all the time. I also dye it. The last cut I did was the wolf cut. It was super cute. Trying to grow it out now but realizing the closer I get to 50, the slower it grows! 😅
Hi Lou I always cut my hair I do the same technique now and again also I do two side ponytails to feather it to my face I tong the sides under and sweep it up to my cheeks to give it a different look, fortunately my hair grows quick and try different styles 👍 your hair is so lovely styles very good 👍🇬🇧🥰❤️
I cut my long layers with just one ponytail by pulling it all forward to my forehead and cutting it all at once with the shortest layer about mouth length. This leaves my back longer (almost waist length). It looks more 70’s, but I like that. I used to do the crown ponytail, too, and I thought hot rollers worked the best to curl those layers, but hot roller curls just don’t last on me😢
Wassup Lou! You did pretty good! I saw some texture in your hair before you curled it. Is your hair naturally wavy? As a guy with long hair that's just a bit shorter than yours, I do NOT cut my own hair (I'm too chicken for that). I get my hair cut 2 times a year. It's a trim really because I'm trying to grow it down to my waist or hips, currently.
I wish we were FB friends so you could see what happened to me last Friday when I tried to just trim the sides back. Long story short: I slipped and no I have no hair at all.
Oopsie, your front ponytail is way too high, should be on your forehead just above your eyebrows, yours is up above your hairline. It came out pretty ok though!
Looks beautiful. I'm glad you are back posting again .

Why does this terrify me...but I want to do it! ❤
It's always scary! What if we mess up? It will grow out!
@@heylouzers Can't look worse than it already does...says me 😂
My hair so long I don't know if I could do layers in my hair myself. Scary

I know! I realized it when I watched it. 🤫
