Ok, so I thought I would try a beautiful young girl's method of applying LOTS of make up and I would hate it because it's not for someone my age. I was wrong.

Lou I was worried you were going to apply foundation with a leaf 😂🍃 No no no less foundation is better. I use Chanel foundation because it’s so light. I couldn’t afford to do 10 pumps 😮.
After using just tinted moisturizer for a few years and not tons of eye makeup, I also can't wait to wash it all off anytime I do " full face".

Lol! My face felt heavy just watching this. 10 pumps is probably what I would use in a year! I don't wear foundation (only for very rare occasions), I just use concealer for under my eyes. Even that irritates me and I immediately wash my face when I get home. A light lipstick is a must for me though to add color, and maybeee a little bright beige eyeshadow and mascara. Less is best at my age. I can buy high end makeup because it will last forever with me. Great video, Lou. 💛 I'm gonna pass on the 10 pumps though.
I think that much make-up is pretty excessive but I love watching you because you are fun! ("now I can hear the voices in my head"). xo
😂 Both of you looked like the Tinman in The Wizard of Oz when you first slapped all of that goop on! You are lovely, 10 pumps or not, but do what makes you feel best. It would settle in my lines for sure.

I think for me it’s a lot and it would be hard to blend and of course settle in all my lines!
During covid I stoppe putting Make up on and I actually don’t miss it either! I feel at 52 less is more, so I just wear mascara and concealer now! Ohh and Always sunscreen first! On specific days where I do more than that , I can’t wait to wash it all off!
The first time I saw that video it made me think of Japanese Kabuki makeup. Not only would that sticky feel drive me crazy BUT the amount of money you would have to spend constantly replenishing the makeup stash would hurt my feelings. I think I'll stick with a tinted moisturizer. Good job though Lou!!!

The older I have gotten, the less makeup I tend to wear. My smile lines don’t need to be “filled” with makeup, just happiness! 😊

Seems like it would start to feel bad after a few hours. As I get older I think I look better with more color on my lips. If not, I look like I'm ready for the casket. Grey.

I don't wear any Fondation. Too much work. I can't imagine taking that much time to put on makeup. Wow!
Ten pumps seems wasteful, but to each their own. You look lovely, as always.
Don't like any foundation, I just use concealer for the odd blemish and never near my eyes. I wore much more makeup when I was young, but had good skin so never needed foundation, think I would feel sick if I put that on.

YES! Settling into lines is the thing! Instead of foundation or concealer, I use a Korean tinted 50 +++ (UVA/UVB) sunscreen (Numbuzin 3) that sinks in and doesn’t budge. And mix more of it with matte lipstick for blush. Wear same matte lipstick as lipstick. Waterproof Maybelline mascara and gray waterproof eyeliner (I went gray hair over pandemic) before all else to prevent fallout. Not too shabby. Agree with you on wearing makeup now after not doing so during Pandemic! Especially eye makeup! I can FEEL it! But, at least it shocks me to have it on - it’s like ‘WHO is that person in the mirror?’😂😂😂

I’m surprised you got it to look good, but I suspect it looks better on camera than it does in person.

All the things you kept saying were NOT for mature skin are things I do. 😆 I'm 55, have oily* skin and live in a Houston-esque climate. Powder is very necessary. I like full coverage.
10 pumps of foundation is a waste of 8-9 pumps worth. I have enough trouble keeping one* from sliding off my face. And doesn't she get it on her clothes??

Yes, my skin is extremely dry and on top of that, I live in Colorado where humidity is very low. 🙃

I'm in my mid forties and mostly use moisturiser and high factor sunscreen now. 🧴 I love not always wearing makeup.
Obviously if I was doing something special I would wear makeup. 💄

You look good w the make up but heavy make up is soooo not worth it… it’s not comfortable, it can stain your clothes, becomes nasty if hot weather or u sweat, guys don’t like it and it looks terrible up close because well, you can see the extra layer of stuff!!! That Meredith girl was much prettier before the heavy make up … little bit is great, like a moisturizer, under eye concealer, blush n lip color. That’s it
I think wearing makeup every day is absurd. Be yourself! Look natural!😊
