I haven't read a book in 10 years, before I visited Seattle and when I visited Kerry Park, I wanted to just sit and read a book. That's how tranquil it was there.
Do not attempt the Medium or Hard Hikes in Washington if you have not hiked before. Our SAR teams here have had a high increase of rescues they've had to do this last year due to the increase of traffic on trails. Just because it looks good in photos, and you may be physically fit enough to get to the top doesn't mean you understand how to operate on technical hiking terrain.
Great video. Prob the best I've seen on ideas for activities. I'm spending 2 weeks there in early Feb to see if I can deal with the winter weather and decide to live there. Thanks for the tips.
You can get from downtown out to the old Sandpoint naval base for free. They have shuttles from Harborview medical center that go all the way to uwmc and uw the university. The shuttle that stops about a block from Sandpoint goes to their admin offices. Oh and it stops at children's hospital too. You're welcome.
Super glad you enjoyed it. My favorite place as well. We love visiting Canada too and can't wait to head up to Vancouver when we're able to again! Thanks for watching :)
Frankie, love the content. This video was one of the most helpful I found for things to do in Seattle. I’m a big FI fan and on the journey with my family (wife and 2 kids). I just finished grad school and we’re moving to Seattle this summer for a job with Expedia Group!
Loved your video!!!! I will be Living there for 3 months on A nursing job assignment so I’m looking forward to exploring : especially the free stuff lol any recommendations for food places that I just got to try while I’m there ?
That's awesome - I just moved away but you are going to love it!! Try Dick's for fast food. For restaurants, you really can't go wrong with anything in Ballard. We loved Cantinetta too. Great italian food and it was walkable to our old place!
Here is the thing... yeah it expensive but for what you pay for is well worth it. The food is so divine and gourmet. Dont pass it up! I suggest for tourists is to hit the Seattle center and pike's ace market. Take the family to these two places exclusively if you see nothing else. Do get Mod Pizza at the Seattle center and get a coffee from the original Starbucks at public market and pirosky pirosky.
Absolutely - and looking back it's crazy how relevant this video has become since Covid. Lots of outdoor activities away from people. Gasworks, visit the troll, sculpture park, Ballard Locks, Kerry Park, etc. I've been hearing of people going on self-guided "city hikes" or scavenger hunts to see art/monuments and incredible views. Creative!
The conservatory garden in Volunteer Park is not free anymore and hasn't been for several years now...it's now about $7.00 to get in. It's the one that looks like a big glass greenhouse. You do have to pay admission.
Great video thanks! I’m moving to Seattle next month. I see in a previous comment that you moved away. What led you to leave Seattle? Looking for some honest opinions.
Not off the top of my head but there used to be a really awesome tea place in the University Village. That was years ago so I'm not sure it's still there. Have a great trip!
Is it worth it to make it to the farmer's market? I was thinking of going for breakfast right after I land, it's a little bit of a trip though. Thoughts/recommendations?

Totally. I love it there - especially if you can find it when it's not busy at all.

@@TheMoneyResolution Thanks! Enjoyed the video. Good suggestions for people coming in from out of town.
if you are actually in good shape u will be good i hiked a week in oregon and it was hard towards the end but i did it
@@yellowshoe6365 nah dude. If you’ve never hiked before you’re not going to bring enough water, and you can still hurt yourself out there.
I can't believe this video doesn't have more views. Thank you for this great information! :)
I really appreciate it! Even if it only helps a few people out it's all worth it :) Thanks for watching!

Excellent. Thanks.
Glad that helped Dan!
Awesome!
Seattle is my favorite place in the world 🌍
AGREED! 👌
Why hahaha
Awesome video very informative ✨ question, how’s the weather during the month of may?
Good! Might rain and drizzle but not too cold. Nice time to visit too if you want to avoid busy tourist season.
Some of these places sound cool

I see you saw the Seattle video I made. Hopefully that answered it!
@@TheMoneyResolution I did. Found it after I commented here. Sorry about that. Thanks for the response!
Can you get to snoqualmie falls from Seattle city centre without a car?
Uber 🤷♂️ I’m not sure otherwise.
"Clay Elum?" I was going to give you a pass on Cle Elum before you said you lived in Seattle. Come on, man! Lol
Even funnier - I'm going on a weekend trip there this weekend! haha
@@TheMoneyResolution LOL. Love it! I'll be traveling back to Seattle on Wed. Have fun!
I am going to Seattle on a girl's trip. Any Tea party recommendations?

I think it is! Lots to explore and eat. I also recommend the farmers markets in Fremont and Ballard on the weekends. Have fun!
@@TheMoneyResolution thanks for your reply. My only issue is I'll have my carry on with me. Are there any luggage storages near by?
@@lcgm08 none that I’m aware of. I don’t think it would be a huge issue to take it around with you though. But totally understand if that a hassle!
@@TheMoneyResolution really enjoyed your video. thank you again ! :)
you look so different lol. this video just popped up in my feed 😅
I just got 2 round trip tickets for 230.
Amazing deal! Did you use points or anything?
@@TheMoneyResolution right! no points .... Ill be in Seattle December 13-17... Doing a lap around olympic national park starting from Vashon Island.
That sounds incredible. Have a great time. Fingers crossed for great weather like today!
Gas Works overlooks Lake Union not Lake Washington 😂
I say that wrong ALL the time lol. And I live on Lake Union 🙄
@@TheMoneyResolution I live on Lake Union too!
The silent reading party costs money now :(
Excellent video 🔥
