- Wait what? Yes it's true. The time has come to sell both of our beloved modified 4WDs, but before we let the rigs go, Mike and I decided to do a follow up video on the perks of owning these two legendary vehicles.
We've had both of these vehicles for quite some time and it was a difficult decision to make, but necessary for our purposes.
Mike already introduced his next project vehicle so what will replace Mr Pugly the Landy? Make sure you're Subscribed and hit the bell icon to find out in the future upload!

After 5 Landies I just can not get enough of my Jimny. Still a Landy fan, but for what I now need, will never go back !
Awesome video. Looking forward to all the new adventures with the new setups!
Thanks for the great send-off video Hendri. I'm already missing the Jimny, but excited for the new adventures
Awesome video Hendri,
Always love some honest and unbiased feedback on the vehicles.
The Land Rover discovery 1 is the perfect inbetweener between a Defender and a Jimny with most of the perks of both. It can be as a daily runner, weekender and long distance tourer.
They're really capable vehicles but mine was getting too old and the running costs were double Pugly's at the time. Maybe if I could find a neat 300tdi
What bakkie next??? Awesome video like always man. production quality is great!
Nice video!
Onto the next adventures!
I also got a ranger for touring.
Tyres, suspension, bumpers and plates and I still do 4x4, just not extreme rocks where I can tear body..
Loving the intro... great footage
Well its sad to see these vehicles go. I really enjoyed seeing how far the Defender has come. I've got a TD5 130 and i love it. But it all depends on what you are getting in replace of it. But at least you got to experience the community. Can't wait to see what the next project is.
It wasn't an easy decision at all and I'll always have a soft spot for a Defender. Hopefully one day I can just add to the collection of vehicles instead of having to sell a project. The next one is a Legend😁
Cool video! Well done!
Cant wait to see the new replacement!
Howdy guys. Thx for great vid's on the Namaqua eco routes. I'll be doing it soon and wanna know which is the best app I could use on my Samsung cell for this propose..
One constant is change 🤣
I have my Defender 110 TD5 SW cause of these videos... Had a *gem of a 4x4 Courier 2.5TD which I sold to get into Defender.
I really miss the get in and go of the Ford... But the space inside the Landy and the atmosphere with the family on a trip cannot be beaten.
Good luck with your next project, and don't let the Borg accumulate you...
*only realised after getting Defender
I'm a Landy fanboy. Got a Discovery 1 V8 as my first vehicle. Next on my list would be a mid 2000's Defender 90 to do some cruising for the December holiday
I don't think you could of done a better job on your THUMBNAIL!!!
You made me stop what important things I was doing and watch your video hahaha.
Koebaai Pugly, may your new owner giggle with delight when hearing burbles of pleasure :D I reckon Hendri will be getting a GD6! :)
Amazing to think the defender would do all that & more whilst towing the Jimny if need be.
Is the 130 already sold ?
What's the replacement for the Landy?
I Just bought a second hand jimny gen3 with only 15000 km. Thinking about raising suspension and some nice AT tires. You got any suggestions? Greetz from the Netherlands 😉
Just shout when you want a canbus delete for the Ranger's headlamps, got so tired of mine tripping I made my own circuit board.
Hell yea awesome rigs. I absolutely love the Defender, but who deep down doesn't love a Defender. The only way to know if it is worth it to sell them is to know what 4x4 you are planning to buy next. perhaps something more reliable? Hilux Perhaps? Or maybe even a Cruiser? Or a Nissan Patrol since you love those solid axles with coils all the way around?
Very glad I'm fortunte enough to have owned a Defender (variant) and you're spot on with the next rig having solid axles😉
@@HendriMouton Can't wait to see it 👍👍
Aw guys. My two favourite vehicles (I've got a gen3 Jimny and a defender 110). I think you'll regret selling the Jimny for a ranger, the Jimny has the smile factor, so much fun.... But what's replacing your 130? Anyway good luck from Scotland 🏴
Thanks Tony! I'm kicking myself already, just wish we had the safe storage space and funds to keep accumilating the 4WDs that we build up. My next project was a no brainer for me, all will be releaved and explained in the next upload 😁
Yeah I'm quite sad about the Jimny, but for what I wanted in a camping car I'm really happy with the move. The packing space and flexibility of a bakkie fits in great with our current adventures
Im have an old Jimmy as my daily driver and wouldn't change it, only for the new gen lol
Great 4x4s! I really enjoy them
Die pannetjie/1400 video is hoekom ek op die channel ge subscribe het! Geniet julle nuwe projekte/voertuie
Thanks Vian. Jy sal van die toekomstige videos hou wat oppad is😁
Keep the jimny, over here its an investment
My Ranger's engine just died after only 245 000Km's. Apparently because of a failed injector. It was pointed out at the service, and Ford assured me that it was only the battery. They replaced it with no difference in the smoking habits.
Now they want R105 000 for a new engine. Guess it will be my last Ford in my life....
That's really unfortunate Cobus. Is it the 3.2 5cyl as I heard the 2.2 models are quite reliable?
@@HendriMouton Nope, it was a 2016 2.2 with the "Upgrade" engine.
How much for pugly
Lezane said she'll swap Pugly for a Legend 50 Hilux😉
Yes, how much for Pugly?
Jimny is the best 😄👍
7:31 why did you ruined the plant dude come one respect what nature gave us
My bad, It was unintentional and I stopped as soon as I heard it when backing up. The 130 has quite a big blind spot with the load bin being bigger than the cabin
Just notice selling this Defender for a Toyota is a massive downgrade for this channel. :-D
It was half a Toyota already 💪😁
I stopped watching after 4 minutes. The movie would be better if there was less talking and if there was undertitling....their English is for me hardly understandably. English is my third language....
Thanks Bob, we've got tons of footage of these vehicles already on the channel. Cheers
