As a longtime medical educator, I should come clean that I discovered your channel when reviewing for my board recertification boards (every 10 years), and was so impressed with your teaching style that I now consider you a mentor. When working on a presentation on a new topic I now look to see if you have done the topic and watch for ideas. You are so organized, knowledgeable and clear. We docs are not taught how to do the teaching that we are expected to do, and Love watching a master in the craft!
This is one of the most self aware and honest statements I've heard from a medical educator! Thank you for your honesty and your desire to teach well! That means more to us students than most other things!
So often the lectures in medical school fell short, most medical students in my class didn't even bother watch the recorded lectures but come straight to outside resources. Lecturers who use this style have always been a favorite for students.
The more I watch you videos the more I am amazed of your gifted mind/skills. You make the topics look easy to learn and your humor and enthusiasm invites to learning. Please keep teaching the community like this. We need doctors like you to make medicine career enjoyable. Thank you for your effort and enthusiasm!!!
I used to avoid your videos because they were so long but I needed more detail on a subject and it is incredibly in depth. Think I found my favorite new A&P tutorials
If I have strong headache and migraine the only medication I do is. Fresh he genger like 1/4kg and boil it like half of 1.5 Litter of water. If you target a strong taste of genger, I swear in 5 minutes you will feel how you can feel better. Not only headache I can used it to whole my body pain no need any medicine.😊 the more spicy taste the more better
Monoclonal antibody treatment for migraines had changed my life. Seriously. After having 11 and more migraines per month to having one per two months - I can live again. And yes, nothing else worked.
Headache presentations are often confusing and difficult to recall. Your presentation is simple and easier to memorize. Thanks, you are a gifted teacher and very much appreciated.
Dear Zach I'm a practicing physician and a medical scientist. I rip through medical literature for bread and butter. I find your presentation succinct, accurate, attractive and super useful for bedside approach. Thank you and keep up the good teaching! Cheers 🥂
I'm currently high af on my epilepsy meds which also help with my migraines, so 28:14 knocked me out cold 🤣 Thank you for your videos though, I had really bad food poisoning and went through a lot of tests to make sure it's really just a case of "coffee from the dirty office coffee machine" while yes it was just that, we also figured out that I have zero seggsy hormones but my prolactin levels are through the roof! My doctors are in a panic while I was sure that I've heard about that happening because of a benign pituitary gland tumor. Imma keep watching to the end and then when I'm better I'll write a letter/report to my doctor, referencing your video. Would suck if I had that tumor and it causes my migraines. Btw you've also helped me and me doctor diagnosing my asthma on point! Doctors can't memorise EVERYTHING, so again thank you so much for your work ❤
I'm watching this video for my personal education, but your neuro videos are giving me chance to pass Neuro. The service you are providing is invaluable. I feel like it's too common that professor's who are most likely very intelligent, just don't know how to teach. You do, the information actually stays in my head when I listen to you.
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE??!! I'm only a few months away from graduating with my AGPNP, and I'm just now discovering your channel?! disrespectful, I say. THANK YOU for being as knowledgeable as you are and explaining it to future dummy providers like me! LOL
I was just wandering here and there I was very much bored from my texts but I want to study ...you Zach and your team never disappoint us I want to be someday teacher like you ♥️🥺 you are real gem
Brilliant first time I understood headaches. Have attended many headache conferences none makes it simple to understand . They make is too complex and actually the whole pathophysiology now I get it . Will be more informative to my patients
You always knows what your viewers/students needs, in advance!!! thanks for all the sessions especially on Neuroscience. Your time and efforts greatly appreciated.
I can't find the best word to say "Thank you!" Dr Zach. Your teaching pattern is something that the field of medicine needs for now and the future. Thank you!
Ninja Nerd Videos are the best! You are an amazing teacher and if it wasn't for your extraordinary ability to explain topics with such ease and passion- I would have lost interest in my physical therapy training. Keep doing what you do because it helps inspire and motivate!
Doc Ninja! I’m so glad you do these! Your work has saved me so many times now I just go right to your site when I start studying. I’ll put a caveat on my degree for you!
you are such a saviour.with so deep and fully explained concept you make it easy for us to learn quickly and for longer duration effectively.wish i could meet you in real life because you are an inspiration
You should take pride in your ability to command a variety of of topic from clinically oriented basic science to clinical topics in a masterly yet lucid manner. I am a retired physician , and admire your expertise . 😊😊
When you want a perfectly explanation of any topic related biology you just wacth videos of ninja nerd..realy sir you explain very perfectly keep it up.. we love you and because of you also loving biology also😅
Damn my waking up with a headache, the vomiting, losing weight, the fact my headache has been around for nearly 3 months.... Time for me to go to the dr 😬 thought it was migraines but maybe not. Side note. This is the best breakdown of headache I've found on yt!
You are awesome and I thank God for your knowledge, understanding and ability to teach a layman clearly. l thank you! I have been having all kinds of headaches all my life, now l know what to look for...
Just stumbled on your video. Yep, you guessed it, I'm interested in the source of my own migraines. I feel better prepared. I'm about to get an MRI, but more importantly I'm better prepared to talk with my neurologist. I am better when I get up, rarely get relieved by laying down, and I either get up and medicate (immitrex mainly), if it doesn't go away. If I stay in bed, it will absolutely get worse. I have no idea where I stand given all those topics, symptoms, etc. But I'm grateful to learn about these red flags. I do get auras, always with out the headache. Even days later. I'm female, 68, obese, and lately hypertensive. I am getting stressed, taking care of my mom, a dementia patient, and work full time. No doubt the cause is somewhere in these symptoms known or unknown. Great job you did on this lecture. I am a training manager with about 25 years, and you are a fantastic trainer/educator. Thank you!!!
I love they way you teach, making medicine look like a fun and too easy to learn new information.. thank you really please do more videos about other diseases that we can’t find videos about.🌸🌸🌸
I've become so much assured with your teaching that I won't even bother to open any sort of literature, it's just see a topic in syllabus ~ search ninja nerd RUclips video for that topic ~ watch, understand and make notes and drawings for revisions ---- boom ⚡it's that simple...!!! 😎🎈💕 Keep up the good work 🥰 and Kindly keep posting ✌ And as always "Until Next Time "❤🤗
Great lecture as always, Ninja Nerd! I'd like to make a little correction, though: The optic chiasm is located directly above the pituitary gland and so pituitary adenomas, which grow upward from the pituitary stalk, compress the optic nerve from below.
You are very good and well organized. Im a NP student and I follow you to get a better, clear understanding of subject matter. I really appreciate all the work you put into this and it shows. Thank you
Thank you for this video. I couldn’t finish it tonight because I got a migraine so I’m going to bed but I’m going to finish watching it tomorrow. Your video is very informative and I appreciate you very much for explaining so much. My migraines are genetic, unfortunately. They suck. The auras make it worse.
Very useful video and I learned a lot, really nice flow to it. Just had a question about the clinical diagnosis of tension headaches, you mentioned they shouldn't have photo and phono- phobia but then the third point you said they have increased sensitivity to light and sound. How are these different?

non-medical student here to learn more about my own migraines- you rock! thanks for making this fun and digestible! I love all the drawings!!

you helped me understand migraine pathophysiology better in the first 10 seconds than the whole week I've studied it. thank you!

I’ve been battling migraines lately. Understanding them helps.
I have once again cited you in my writing. You remain undisputed as a viable source. Thank you.
Glad I watched that. My girlfriend's headache appears to be a tension headache and not a tumor. We'll get a second opinion from her Doctor of course.
Great job simplifying things. Wished i had a teacher like you back then
I totally love the Ninga Nerd. So easy to follow. I'm dyslexic which makes me visual learner. This webpage is the best for me 😍😍😍
I only wish you were around when I was in medical school many years ago! God bless you Zach!
You're so passionate!! You are the only one who can make neurology so interesting for me! Thank youuuuu!
Not gonna lie... that snop sketch is so badass that I think it will save a lot of people's lives !!
Great drawing of snoop dizzle. I like how you look at different approaches, never thought about secondary causes, just the primary.
The best teacher ever!
Thank you sir for your kindness

Awesome and fun video as usual Ninja Nerds!
One of the most helpful videos I ever did see
Very useful video and I learned a lot, really nice flow to it. Just had a question about the clinical diagnosis of tension headaches, you mentioned they shouldn't have photo and phono- phobia but then the third point you said they have increased sensitivity to light and sound. How are these different?
The fobias are quite extreme, sensitivity is not that bad.
Wonderful lecture Doc. I like it so much. Thankfully
Really enjoying these videos to go along with the rather dry material of my textbook.
