I recently made the cheats charred chicken ramen and we all absolutely loved it and am making this spicy sausage pasta for dinner tonight. I've made a few of Donal's recipes now and am in love with his cooking. It just goes to show how easy it is to cook good hearty meals at home that don't take hours to make or cost a small fortune
I love your pantry stuff! Its so easy. "gnarly bits" lol.. I love the use of seeds in cooking. I don't know why people don't use them more. Your hair looks long, and you look relaxed and refreshed....good for you.... The pasta looks really nice. Yea a ragu takes longer this is a great short cut.
I have tried this recipe, it's one of my favourites for weekday winter nights....btw also works with traditional british sausages (so long as you take them out of the skins)...the key ingredient I think is the fennel seeds.

I use spicy or sweet turkey sausage links pan grilled & steamed either links or casings removed for a healthier version. Lots of sliced or chopped onions, garlic, red & green peppers.
It looks delicious. I like quick meals. After all, It is not easy to find enough time to cook and enjoy the food nowadays. Sometimes, breakfast, lunch and dinner become a difficult problem in a busy day .

I have a question: is the pecorino used perhaps the Roman one? In fact in Italy we have different types of pecorino: Sardinian Tuscan. The Roman one, in my opinion, is the best (I'm not Roman...).

I have some Italian sausages and fresh cherry tomatoes on hand, and am trying to decide how to use them for a pasta dish. Long and behold comes this video. I may use fewer tomatoes so that they would not overpower the dish; I prefer lighter sauces for pasta, in general. 🇺🇸
I have made a pasta fazool using Italian sausages for a long time. So very happy to have a go at this. My wife is gluten intolerant so we use GF pasta but that’s no problem. I look forward to coking this dish. BTW love your RUclips

I'm in the US. If you can find Mutti brand (imported from Italy), they have canned cherry tomatoes and they are GOOD. You can find them in specialty stores like World Market or on Amazon (if you buy in bulk.) But in a dish like this, I have used fresh cherry tomatoes with a bit of sauce to replace the canned. You may have to cook them down separately.
I made but Italian sausages didn't breakdown like yours. Also Aussie tin cherry tomatoes not vibrant red like yours and had to add Tomato paste to get better taste.. aaaggghhh
He has greatest memories of cooking so delicious. His family is so lucky to have him.

Id try this with a combi of our local sausage called longganisa. With the regular sweet smoked longganisa with the garlicky and tangy vigan variety :)
I feel like longganisa could be a bit to dry, but please try it and maybe tell us how it was :)

Sounds so easy to make. I would probably substitute diced tomatoes for the cherry tomatoes.
I normally make it with the diced too but was really nice that it wasn’t too saucy with the cherry tomatoes- worth a try!
