It's so interesting to see people eating stroganogff with pasta (I guess this the original way). In Brazil we love stroganogff with white rice and some crispy french fries.
That's interesting. I love learning about ways other places/cultures eat similar foods to what I have seen. Broadens my outlook. Thank you for sharing this.
I’ve always done that with the bowls to put the chopped veg in. Since I stated cooking when I was 14, 20 years ago Jaysus ! Excellent recipe. Defo my kind of food.
Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaank you :) Finally another great chef, who understands, that horizontal cuts on an onion are simply not needed. Hallelujaaaaaaaaaaaaa :D
Me: not understanding why it would be to early to eat or why dinner for breakfast is awkward for other people Also me: working shifts 24/7 and has no sense of time anymore
Beef stroganoff is a big fave of ours (except one manchild who’s dairy free and one who hates mushrooms but will eat absolutely anything else) so it’s a meal we save for the nights when we are home alone - definitely interested in trying this recipe!
Donal, I like the idea in general, but I'd definitely eat at least a half portion for breakfast, but at least doing the prep of all the ingredients so you can put it all together fresh in the evening is a great stress relief. If one is working during the week but you still want a freshly cooked meal, you can prep a bunch of onions, carrots, and celery (separately--your mirepoix) and store them in the fridge. That is usually about 80% of the time spent on prep. Dry brining a chicken or cut of meat the day before is another great tip. There are just so many things about cooking that require practice and reflection, but the results are often increased confidence in the kitchen, a better and healthier diet, better flavor, and cost savings.
Beautifully chilled out vid Bro. Smashed it as usual. I'm making this for lunch now and keeping the missus some dinner lol cheers lad. P. S. MERRY CHRISTMAS from Belfast Ireland 🎄🎅

Hello Donal 🧑🏻👍🏻, I like your rendition of beef stroganoff with aromatic vegetables 🧅🧄🍄! Dinner for breakfast is a good idea. Because of tradition, we (in the western world) ascribe portion size to the three daily meals as follows: breakfast (sm), lunch (med), and dinner (lg). It may be more sensible and healthier to do the following instead: breakfast (lg), lunch (sm), and dinner (med).
Well i eat anything anytime when it’s tasty😂 Actually now it's dinner time for us so i would loooovveeee if u send it, i loooooovveeeee beef and it loooks so yummm!!
I'm not a big fan of oatmeal or cold cereal for breakfast, and I hate to dirty up pans cooking eggs and such, only to leave them in the sink and run off to work. So each week (usually on Sunday afternoon) I'll make a big pot of a thick and hearty soup, like a zuppa toscana or a ham, beans and veggies. The delicious and nutritious soup goes in a giant Tupperware bowl and into the fridge, and every workday morning I heat a large bowl of it in the microwave. Voila! Dinner for breakfast.
nice recipe, but ... you said the pasta literally takes minutes. So why not boil some water when you reheat your dinner to get some nice and fresh noodles?
So how would one store this dish and then reheat it for night time? 🤔 I figured you would go over that part since the entire episode was about making it ahead of time....
I store mine in a container and reheat on the pan or microwave right before serving. You can use a little bit of water to loosen it, if it needs it. Hope that helps!
Hi Melody. In my honest opinion, All Clad makes the best cookware. They are somewhat pricey (any good pan is) but it will last you a lifetime. I’ve have had mine for over 20 years.
Ive never been able to make a nice and tender stroganof without cooking the beef for hours... its always chewy. The meat chunks were not very tender here Donal, where they?
Lol hey Donal, it drives me a bit crazy when I watch you touch the meat with both hands then use your knife after, I’m glad you washed your hands some point in time but hope the knife was washed too 😂😂😂😂
So refreshingly unpretentious and natural. A joy to watch and definitely one to cook for me. Could you use brandy instead of wine? Or 50/50 mix?

It's the same in Hungary as well!

Traditional to eat stroganoff with egg noodles...but I suppose could eat with rice or potatoes..french fries - no!
I’ve always done that with the bowls to put the chopped veg in. Since I stated cooking when I was 14, 20 years ago Jaysus ! Excellent recipe. Defo my kind of food.
Made this yesterday with rosemary roasted potatoes. Absolutely fantastic thanks for the great recipe, it’s now a family favourite
Love that your kitchen has a sign that says ‘Kitchen’... avoids confusion you know.
This has made me so hungry. It looks delicious and easy. Thanks so much!
You’re great to watch! Easy on the eyes, AND great at the flow in the kitchen. Cheers!
Kerrygold butter recipe is the best. Thank you for all the recipes. Enjoy your accent and very entertaining.

I just like dinner and lunch food a lot more than breakfast food so I often eat leftovers and things for breakfast 🤷🏻♀️
You missed the point...he said he was preparing dinner in the morning......not eating it until dinner time...!!!
Nice down to earth tips!
This is the first video I've watched of yours. This is the first recipe I made by you. This is the first time I've ever loved a man. It's you! 😘

Donal. Great recipe thanks. Why did you use a different salt when adding salt to the water just before you cooked the fetticine?
Donal, could you do a vlog about "essentials to have in your pantry."
I definitely want to try that, it looks nice and easy to prepare and to be honest I have never eaten this. Thank you for this and many other recipes

I do like the format of the video.
Thank you!
Looks great but how do you reheat it properly at dinner time?

Delicious! You could also add Peas, or fresh Spinach. Healthier version....
Ayyyyyuu,que delicioso.Guapo chef!
What can I substitute for white wine?
1AS060007 any liquid can be used to deglaze a pan. If you can’t use wine you can use beef stock, chicken stock, beer are even water.
super recette
Well i eat anything anytime when it’s tasty😂
Actually now it's dinner time for us so i would loooovveeee if u send it, i loooooovveeeee beef and it loooks so yummm!!
If i make it in the morning I'll eat it in the morning! LOL Now I'll need to make another dinner... ✌🐧
what can we use instead of white wine?
If you make it at breakfast what would be the best way to heat it up later?
What's the alternative of wine?
Beautiful video, but you should type the recipe in the description box below. :)
LOVE your accent! 😍

You can definitely cook the noodles minutes before you serve. Either way works :)
Can you please post the link to the salt

White wine replacement?
Just don't add it. Also better use sour cream instead of double cream.
Looks yummy! I’m going to try this recipe!
Superb..
Southeast asian always have our dinners at breakfast... 🤗
Yummy 😋😋
Yep, boi uses the right brand of butter. Full Marks!
Because it's irish butter
How much fat % is there in double cream?
What kind of pan? I need a new one and I don't know what to buy
Hi Melody. In my honest opinion, All Clad makes the best cookware. They are somewhat pricey (any good pan is) but it will last you a lifetime. I’ve have had mine for over 20 years.
Yum!
What is the salt?
Love stroganoff. I always have used tomato paste and red wine, but this looks great as well. One of my favorite sauces!!!
Why don't you use a different chopping board for the meat!
Shouldn't there be tomato paste and sour cream?
Sour cream yes, tomato paste NO
Way too much salt, but im gonna try it. Rest sounds amazing.
🥰🥰
Yummm😍
Great recipe I am going to try this. Oh trash looks good
Please make some dishes for vegetarians too so that we could also enjoy
Just use mushrooms instead of meat.
waste in the sink? dont you have green waste or something like that?
I don't show the clean-up, but we definitely dispose of everything properly after cooking :)
美味しそう〜!
I'm starving....;)
i barely have time to shower in the morning
Ive never been able to make a nice and tender stroganof without cooking the beef for hours... its always chewy. The meat chunks were not very tender here Donal, where they?
Make the stroganoff and then put it in a slow cooker....tender and fall apart every time...
