what is the name of the hdd connector for eq1172au model
I have a "HP 15S Eq2223AU" laptop with a 1TB HDD. I want to install the HDD inside the laptop, but I'm concerned about voiding the warranty if I open it. I've watched several videos, but none of them clearly explain the process. The connector cable has 10 pins, but the motherboard port has only 8 pins. How does this work?
That connector is for fingerprint scanner(models with fingerprint scanner), not for 2.5" drive. You can burn your motherboard if you try to install hard drive to that connector lol.

@@casseurpro974 there is no hdd connector for those models. You cant install hdd on 15s model. One of empty connector is for fingerprint and other is for keyboard backlight (if exists). If you try to install hdd on those sockets you will burn your motherboard or hdd. Just buy a big enough m2 drive. They are nearly same price as hdd these days
I checked service manual. And i am EE engineer i followed traces on mainboard, so i am %100 sure

You dont need SSD connector for putting SSD. Just buy an SSD and install.

@@DetectivePayne the video states no connector (ribbon/cable) will be included with an SATA drive and will need to be purchased separately. I assume, as I am trying to figure it out myself, what connector ribbon is needed to connect to the motherboard connection?

on the Hp website it is showing that I can only upgrade with 2400 Mhz 8 Gb RAM and maximum capacity is only 16 gb (2x8), Is it true or I can upgrade to 32Gb ram
