Nailed it as usual Tim. Its rare it the "big' things that mess up lives. Its when a combination of 'small' things happen, that life can head southwards. good news on the paperwork. stay safe

You’re a true inspiration Tim. I have watched other channels from the likes of Kevin O’Hara who is judgemental and loves the sound of his own voice. There isn’t a hint of that from you. You’re entirely genuine and you genuinely want to help people. I’m 98 days sober now and will continue to remain so.

Thanks Tim for taking the time to remind me of how important it is to stay vigilent in my sobriety.

Excellent video as always Tim, I know what relapse is like Brother. It is ten times worse , and it can quickly drag you. Back down to that deep dark road again and, it's not a nice place to be. It just makes you want to give up, lose hope and. Think it's not worth caring about anymore, but with family sticking by me . Help from counsellors etc , that makes such a huge difference and , gives you that drive again to dust yourself down and. Say life's worth it, and everything and everyone in it . What you do with it , makes it all worthwhile. I often think about relapsing , cos in addiction . That's gonna happen, you've you good and bad days. Everytime I think about it, taking that one or two drinks. For 10 minutes may, make you think its relaxing. Takes it all away, we all know. That's not true, it comes with severe consequences, and just wants to get you. Back to square one. This poison doesn't care , your a recovering alcoholic and. That you can't do it in moderation, all it wants to do . Is destroy your life , strip everything in it piece by piece. Till there's nothing left , it ain't worth it . Cause we know, our life's is much happier, without having this shit in it. As you said everyday sober , is a victory so true. Its not all easy going and plain sailing, we have to work at it and. Keep that even flow going without it getting to bumpy, or get us caught in a rip curl . For all us in recovery, we are warriors. Each day makes, us that more stronger. Determination to not , let this evil toxin . Tempt us into the darkside. You stay safe and well man God bless 🙏

Relapse doesn't have to mean the end of all the hard work we have previously put in.. I try to see it as a blip and to be honest w myself and realise that relapse happened before I actually picked up my drug of choice. But tragedy of relapse is; we can be so punishing on ourselves when we slip, have an all or nothing attitude, go deeper into it, or w my particular poison.. could literally kill you! But when I relapse I try to be gentle and loving and forgive myself like I would someone I loved. But I also remind myself any suffering I endure now is still blessing then been out on streets in active addiction. 🙏🏽🤟🏽Tim the humble, real, lived experience helper, wise council for all our addiction struggles. Blessing to you.

I think about relaps twice a day
Every day for as long as I can remember
    Just don’t act on it

I was doing good and then. 10 days straight of drinking. I thought I could have just one. Went to Church today. Missionaries talked me into it. It felt so good to shower, shave put on a good suit. Hopefully y'all are handling the pandemic better than the USA. Politicians should really listen to scientists.

That HALT thing is so true. Someone told me the H can stand for hungry and horny lol. But you're right. When we start reaching out for external things to fix us or give us our hit of dopamine then we really need to watch out.

I liked the video! I have been trying to look for an informative RUclips video that really explains the ideas in this RUclips vid. 👌 👨‍⚕️Your content is like the videos of Dr Ethan! Dr's tips are helpful and he actually helped me a lot on my finals. He is an educational Dr in Europe and he teaches vaccines and diabetes.
Go watch his channel out and give Dr Ethan a like! 👉 #DrEthanEducational
