During World War II, Frances Langford was one of the many female stars who toured with Bob Hope, and performed in the USO shows that entertained the troops all over Europe. She was a gifted singer, and was then and always a beautiful woman. I think the best way to enjoy this video is to sit back, close your eyes, and imagine that your listening to this performance on radio, just like it was from 1946 to 1951.
This was Miss Langford's alter ego but she seemed to too nice and a living doll for this role . There were plenty of actresses' who seemed the type to play this role . The suave and debonair Don Ameche as an average joe husband .
Wonderful to see them perform this on television. Two very talented people. I was only 5 when this show was taped. My mother loved Don Ameche.

I had a crush on Don Ameche..he was so handsome in his movies in the 1930's and 1940's..Frances Langford was a very good singer too.
