@@sheeshwoof late reply but i found this video only today and i was interested in the recipe so i googled it. just google the name 5 INGREDIENT CHOCOLATE SALTED CARAMEL TART and the first link was theirs. (they have different site now and sadly i also clicked on the dodgey one first unknowingly )
Crunchy peanut butter melted -to runny -just lovely. Definitely use a high powered food processor- still takes 12-14 minutes allowing for motor to cool to get to consistency shown above. Tastes absolutely fabulous. Not a bit suprised it's a best seller in your cafes. Really enjoying this 5 ingredient series.
I made this yesterday and it's phenomenol! 😍 It looks amazing and is so rich and indulgent. Tastes like it's packed with dairy and sugar, you would never be able to tell that it's actually vegan and free of refined sugar. 😁
If I could not love you both more (and your amazing recipes, your energy) -- seeing you on the Netflix episode "Somebody Feed Phil" kicked up the adoration that much more! You are both beautiful souls, fully in integrity with who you are in the world, which came through in that episode.
This is my wifes favourite Cake, I made it on many occasions now and it is always a hit! I leave out the oil to make it whole food, and it still tastes fab! Probably our favourite recipe from the blue book! 😁
I would leave out the coconut oil as well because it is high in saturated fat which would be a ideally way to a heart attack(the main cause of heart disease).
@@thehappypear .. I love these guys! I have two grown sons who are thinking about starting a vegan cooking channel. I told my sons to watch their videos. Love their recipes, and I think the guys are cute too. : ) They are fun to watch.
Omg guyss!!!! Your channel is the best vegan channel out here. Like it’s beyond super. I will definitely make this. Your recipes are making my life complete. Love you two ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Just made this dessert. I love their recipes but I would definitely use a lot less coconut oil next time ( or leave it out entirely. The crust was so oily, I had to use paper towels to get some oil out. I only had crunchy peanut butter but by the time I blended it, you couldn’t tell. Only a small slice. The flavor is good but too dense for my particular taste. My husband liked it but not enough to make again. I have made many of their recipes and appreciate their effort.

I wanted this so bad, but my pie was just sesameseed nut smooth pie lol. Im sure I converted the recipie totally wrong. Still looks amazing Happy pear😀
The recipe is super simple. only question, it has lots of coconut oil, will it not have too much of coconut flavor? I don't like coconut oil flavor much.
Guys that's one of my favorite cake for years now! Thanks to you guys! BUT I never put that much coconut oil into the caramel 🙊. I think I'm just scared of to much oil haha 😂
Guys can someone suggest a good food processor for nuts that doesn't cost a fortune. I tried to do this wonderful tart but all I got was smoke coming out of my poor food processor. :( Very weak and old.
I know I clicked on an old link too and my phone said ‘page unsecured, we suggest you close this page’. But then I went to google and typed in the name of the recipe and it came up pretty quick. Only thing was, it wasn’t the 5 ingredient recipe. It was a few more.

This looks delicious! Would it be possible to make it without the coconut oil? I have all the ingredients apart from that, since I don't really use any oil.
How many calories does this cake contain? When I tried counting it was around 400-500 calories in one of twelve pieces. That would mean the whole cake is around 5000 calories 🤯 could that be right?
This tart fills you up soo much!! But it is so good!! I used half of the caramel ingredients because then you can actually eat a decent piece without breaking your pants 😌😂🥰
The nuts and the dates being high in sugar are the least of my worries. Make a cake that doesn’t contribute significantly to heart disease and atherosclerosis. Please!! Lots of love haha
Fat is not necessarily your enemy. Sugar seems to be much worse, especially in combination with fat. It's all about your life style and portion control tho. A piece of cake as a treat once in a while won't kill anyone, so don't be a party pooper 😋

Made this and it was DELICIOUS - thank you! If anyone is like me and has about 50 Gu pots, I highly recommend using them instead of making a big one.
SUPER TASTY & HEALTHY (with the exception of coconut oil, it's 100% whole food - WOW!)
Just made this... omg yes. I used a mix of sukkari & medjool dates for the filling.

Thanks for the tip :) I was wondering how many calories a slice like this would have with all that oil :))
Good to know it can be left out.
Cheers.
nice! does it work just as well without the oil? :)is it still smooth and stuff?
you guys are my new best friends forever ! this looks amazing

Can you guys make a five ingredient baklava???
Do you think saltiness could be achieved by using salted, toasted cashews?
Looks super amazing and easy! Thanks guys!

Great recipe!
What could you use instead of peanut butter? Looks amazing!! :)
Thank you for addressing the coconut oil and date separation.
For those who are allergic to nuts but not to peanuts can we use peanuts?
Lovely recipe 😍😍
The recipe is super simple. only question, it has lots of coconut oil, will it not have too much of coconut flavor? I don't like coconut oil flavor much.
You could try using refined coconut oil, this doesn't taste like coconut oil as much as unrefined/virgin coconut oil :)
This looks amazing! 😋
Looks amazing can't wait to make!!😍
OMG I'M MAKING THIS RIGHT NOW
Love you guys and i dont miss a video u make but can u make some desserts with no coconut oil since now its not available
can i use cocoa butter instead of the coconut oil ?
Guys that's one of my favorite cake for years now! Thanks to you guys! BUT I never put that much coconut oil into the caramel 🙊. I think I'm just scared of to much oil haha 😂
Thank you that's very helpful, I was just wondering if there's a need for so much oil:)
Delicious! Can you freeze this ?
Hi guys. Can I do this blending in a blender because I don't have a food processor?
😯😯😯 this one looks AMAZINGGG!
Hi, I was wondering if almonds would work instead of cashews in this? I'd love to try to make this but I am severely allergic to cashews.
yeah I just made it with almonds
YUMMM! Cannot wait to try this!! 🤤
what can I use instead of nuts, would oats work?
OMG!!!! Happy Friday!!
Such a nice recipe. I have a question, do the Cashews need to be raw or toasted? Thanks a lot.
Drooling!
How could you make the base nut-free?
Is there a version that translates from grams to cups/tablesppons? I don't have a kitchen scale
Any alternatives to coconut oil? I'm attempting to avoid saturated fat.
Someone said they tried it without it and it turned out well still. 👍
Can I store this at room temperature after set?
Unfortunately i am intolerant to cashew😭, but it looks incredible. Does anyone know a good substitute? Thank youu❤️
Any nut could do the trick 😎

What’s the calorie count on this?
Which Kenwood food processor are you using?
what is the size of the tin ?:)

Sure thing it would just be a little lighter but would work fine lauri- you may have to add more water to the caramel 👍🏼😄💚
Lovelyyyy 🤤

A vintage Happy Pear video ;)
Epic!
Thanks
Yum!!!
Can you guys come up with processed vegan mozzarella? Because, nobody's putting fresh mozzarella on NY style pizza.
Is there a way to reduce the fat content? As my health requires that I have a low fat diet.
It’s hard as even the nuts are high fat even though whole food. Just leave out the coconut oil and it will work fine thanks
@@thehappypear I would leave out the coconut oil because there's evidence that it is high in saturated fat which causes heart disease.
I wonder if you could use Irish moss as a thickener instead? Markus Rothkranz explains how to use it in deserts like this
Use oats on the base:)

Agree. The saturated fat in coconut is so high. I am definitely leaving it out.
Make one that doesn’t cause heart disease perhaps. There’s 100g of saturated fat in that cake.
And a regular cake doesn't have fat either? Give me a break.
