Base: 250g cashews 2tbsp cacao powder 150g dates 2tbsp coconut oil Middle: 250g dates 150g peanut butter 2tbsp coconut oil (he used 6!) 1 teaspoon vanilla essence 4 tbsp water Generous pinch salt Top: 300g dark chocolate Flaked sea salt Cool/set in the fridge. Heat knife with hot water so blade cuts through like butter. Oooooo nice tip on the baking paper!!!
@@kayegooey7454 I realized my response was in reference to the caramel. I've never made their crust of dates, nuts & coconut as I have other crust recipes I use as the base. Honestly, I am always playing with recipes and making slight changes but additional water or non-dairy milk of preference can be used in place of the coconut oil. It won't solidify as hard once refrigerated but that's not a problem in our household. There's so much flexibility in recipes like this so hope you have fun with it!
Totally making this!! A good friend of mine shared your previous cookbook with me and I love it. Can't wait to get the new one. Thanks for all of your efforts supporting plant-based eating!
They make these in a Cafe in Duleek - they call them ‘Vegan Snickers’ and I always get them when I stop by on my bike rides. I’m so glad I found the original recipe now and can make them myself!!!
This one is great, but my favorite of all time is the sticky toffee pudding with homemade caramel. Congratulations on your appearance on the Today Show.
There's a common misconception that just because something is vegan means that it's healthy, when in reality, vegan only means free of animal products & happiness.. it's basically the equivalent of "new math" for food, typically making very basic things excessively more complex & expensive than necessary. This particular recipe looks fairly easy & yummy, but you need to be well off to eat entirely vegan & not feel like you're only eating squirrel food & mung beans 😂
Base:
250g cashews
2tbsp cacao powder
150g dates
2tbsp coconut oil
Middle:
250g dates
150g peanut butter
2tbsp coconut oil (he used 6!)
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
4 tbsp water
Generous pinch salt
Top:
300g dark chocolate
Flaked sea salt
Cool/set in the fridge. Heat knife with hot water so blade cuts through like butter.
Oooooo nice tip on the baking paper!!!
Thanks for adding the recipe.
Thank you! The one that’s linked on their website is slightly different, although likely just as delicious
Thank you❤
Not all heroes wear capes!
I'm seriously drooling as you squeeze that square!!!! YUM
I just received our new cookbook... I LOVE IT!!! I am ready to try every recipe in the book. You two are the best ever Vegan cooks!!!
Wow! Congratulations on 20 years! I love your channel and your cookbooks!
Thanks a million! We can’t believe it, hard to tell people we’re 29 with a 20 year old business, we’ll have to start acting our age 😅
I made this years ago and it's still a favorite! I make mine without coconut oil and it's divine. Thank you for all you do! 🤗💕
Do you put anything in to replace the coconut oil or just leave it out?

That dessert really is a winner 😋
❤❤❤❤
20 years is phenomenal! Congratulations! It's so delicous! Definitely needed the parchment paper hack!
It’s a good hack isn’t it! Took us 20 years to learn it 😅
Thanks for another beautiful recipe 😊
And a speedy recovery with the cold 🤧😉
Excited to get your new book!
Ordered! Excited thanks you two!
Such a delicious choice for desserts! Thank you.

That is very cool!! I think I'd make these in a muffin pan for mini tartlets
@@elizabethheyenga9277 That's a good idea.
Looks amazing, I will try it!
Off to the market and definitely adding these ingredients to make this weekend

I'm There !!!! omg .... ! Happy Hols, Guys ;-)🎀🎄
That emoji reminds me of Dave saying taaaaart 😂 happy holidays
Congrats guys!
oh my goodness yum
My hubby loved this. When I said could you taste coconut and peanut he said no I wouldn’t eat anything with that in 😂it
Dates are a good sweet treat as they don’t spike your sugar levels and lead to another craving!
YO DUDES! That looks incredible.. I'm off work tomorrow and it's raining all day so I know what I'm making 😋
Oh nice! It’s a great rainy day dessert, enjoy! 😀😀
Too yummy!
Def gonna give it a try 😋😋😋
YUMMERS!!! 💖💖
It really is a yummy dessert 😀😀

Delicious!❤😍
Delicious❤
Coconut oil has been shown to raise cholesterol levels - the good and the bad kinds, be careful not to use too much
Incredible
Super yummy
Thanks a million Mike!
👌
Is it better than croissant chocolate bread pudding, served with vanilla ice cream, though?
Fair play lads!
😍😍🥰😍😍😍😍🥰
Are they twins?
Now say "vegan" and you have the whole dessert for yourself!
Haha!

😂😂😂😂
✅
Brilliant 😂
That’s by definition not caramel. It’s got to have a major peanut butter taste. Why not just call it chocolate peanut butter tart?
Who are these guys?
😂😂😂
Eat the rich. I mean, what the rich eat (250g of cashews)
Why are you guys wearing scrubs? Brings me back to bedside patient care, cleaning bums and stuff.
these people have no idea of what cooking is!
I don't want an AI speaking in french. I want to hear you in english with your irish accent
Make another channel with Ai
Does RUclips make our videos French for you? 😯
Then go to the English track in the video settings.
