I don't know about touring on this one. But my first impressions are that this could be a good city bike for maneuvering through crappy roads, or potholes and traffic. Especially in cities where you'd find water clogging during monsoons. Also a good bike to develop some offroading skills. Good vid brother! Peace.
This bike deserves a more powerful engine with a 6th gear. I hope TVS also makes a competitor to this bike,considering the fact that they have so much experience with these kind of rally motorcycles right from the late-80s with the Supra,then the Shaolin,then the Fiero and then the Apache.They have the RTR’s engine,All they need,is to add a 6th speed gearbox,carry over a lot of parts from the RTR. And maybe even call it the Shaolin FX or something haha.
I have this bike , I rode it for 1100km so far, this is a great bike 80 to 90 kmph is comfortable Cruising speed above this only problem is wind blast, if you have riding jacket than one can cruise at 90-95kmph. Best thing about this bike is that you can maintain a good average speed , roads are not smooth in india, speed breaker, bad roads come on your way, but on this bike you will get a good average speed, you don't have to slow down much. Actually stiff seat is good for touring, seat can be little wider though.
Absolutely, I have done Nasik to Bhopal, Bengaluru to Kolhapur non stop on the Impulse. The ability to not slow down on bad patches makes a MASSIVE difference on average speed. It is a terrific commuter as well, I used my Impulse for commuting in Noida, Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Bhopal. 5 jobs, 5 cities, one motorcycle to do it all.
@sten mileage is around 40kmpl, pillion comfort is not much , though rear portion of seat is wide ,but the pillion has to incline forward coz of seat angle, it is not horizontal. But if you sit at rear end near grab rail, then you will not slip forward.
300cc, six speed gearbox, 27 bhp , better headlight was nice to have on this bike. Sadly the engine is lagging in highway and even the refinement is poor!! Boys had so much hope on this bike but Hero R&D failed to deliver a decent bike. You just can't pay only for smooth suspension, Honda shine is better too !!

Hello sir! This was very engaging video. I am going to buy a bike in December but feel confused between Honda Hornet 160R and Xpulse 200 Fi. Well, Honda is globally known for occupying its products with many good things and surely refinement is one of them. But i love Xpulse's ADV look but i am really concerned about its refinement levels about which no one is talking about. My question is that "Can it cruise comfortably at 100Kmph all day long without vibrating and the engine getting stressed?"
Yes it can.. the engine is refined.. I spent cruising at 110 for long time on a day trip around 600 kms.. if u are on a budget go for it.. absolutely a fun to ride.. exhaust is bad to hear while touring.. rest all fine.. I suggest a better seat, handlebar raisers or Rd handle and a couple of headlights coz the stock on xpulse doesn't provide much visibility.. amazing chassis.. just a little underpowered for touring.. overall an excellent bike for a few bucks over a lakh.. buy n have no regrets...

I own an impulse and need I say I'm disappointed with this bike. Impulse can also do 80-90 km/hr all day long. This does not not look like much of an upgrade.
I think normal for normal people its the best bike I mean personally im ny goin to speed up 150km/hr even if i have a KTM this 200 bike is very good to cruise as im confortable in just 80'90___and as its a tall bike and light weight its good doing off road....i would comment dont go for trend go for ur own comfort zone both financially and what u reakky need
@@pratimsaren1074 dhono version Acha he but FI variant gets petal disc and better mileage and throttle response If you want to tune your bike for cheap rate then carberator variant is good for you My friend got a carberator variant and he upgraded the carberator , brakes , throttle body and exhaust muffler of Duke 250 Top end is 135 kilometer speed and it runs like a R15 acceleration But the stock xpulse cannot beat a Duke 125 But now it can easily withstand with R15 acceleration This all costs around 26 k both brakes , carberator, exhaust,sparkplug , racing coil and the ground clearance increased by changing springs and installing a spacer So when u have to upgrade the Fi u have to spend lot of money 35k-45k But it's not worth the money
Xpulses 200t or Yamaha FZ x which one good for long tours? It was mentioned in other videos that to reach even 100kmph on FZ x is a struggle?....let me know which one is better...I m looking for bike that will do 100 kmph easily because if we need to cover distance on long tour due to some delay in plans then this is must. 100kmph all day long on Xpulse is difficult and will be tyring. But it's good on a Hornet.
