    Did this on my 2015 Accord EX-L. Sounds much better than the "Roadrunner" horns. Thanks.

    Just replaced mine. My goodness you think they’d at least have this standard on the Touring V6.🤷🏾‍♂️💀 Excellent video tho! Very helpful and got it done in a breeze 💯🙏🏾👍🏾

    Great instructional video and very useful. The Accord is Honda's premier offering, so why they fitted it at the factory with such tinny, "economy-car" sounding horns I don't understand. My 2017 EX-L V6 is a terrific car, but the chirpy horns (and the woefully thin, cheap and nasty carpeting) were out of place in such a fine vehicle. Honda should have fitted the deeper-toned horns from the Odyssey minivan as standard. Thank you for posting the tutorial and the links to the parts, this was very helpful. As you say, this upgrade is very easy and fast to complete for anyone of even modest mechanical skill. I like your RUclips site and appreciate the lengths you go to to try new products on your Accord for the benefit of the rest of us. Good health and good wishes to you, sir.

    Anytime you deal with electrical on a car, it's always best to take off the negative cable from the battery. That way, if you buy a cheap horn, it won't fry it when you connect it... ot anything electrical. Especially older cars. Lol or you might have a constant horn sound until you disconnect the battery. Idk why i know this.... lol

    Its way louder with the upgrade, I have heard them in person. The object of the horn is to get your attention and the upgrade definitely gets your attention better than the mouse horn. It not just about db's, the Hertz range your ear perceives has more to do with it than just db's.

    finally honda learnt something from toyota. the last time i replaced the meep horns from HRV and CRV (3rd - 4th gen) i had to open the front bumper. most toyota i replaced? just like this!

    I understand changing the tone but the ones you installed are not as loud (108db) as the factory(110db). I want to "upgrade" to louder ones like PIAA. It has 115db :)

    • @artcam2164
      @artcam2164 9 лет назад

      +no1boost I agree I dont mind upgrading but it has to be similar dbs or more. Like you said the PIAA's are louder.
      I dont want it to be softer regardless of the tone.

    • @9thGenAccord

      db rating is NOT all that matters, a horn is to get attention of whoever your honking at. Trust me these get FAR more attention than the factory ones every time.

      David Humphrey they are both “meep meep” or “moped horns”...the high has a higher pitch and the low has a Lower pitch and when used at the same time it sounds like a normal horn

      I have a 2014 Accord Touring and I noticed the same thing on Amazon, I ended up ordering them anyway and they do fit. I think it just says “doesn’t fit” because they weren’t factory equipment, despite the fact that they do physically fit in the car with the same connectors. So you’re good to order

      @@9thGenAccord My mom's odyssey only has a working high horn. It is very, VERY, thin and quiet. You'd rather have the 9th gen stock horns over an odyssey high-horn by itself. The low horn really brings up the oomph of the system, and the high horn keeps it from sounding like a 1970s Mercedes.
