hey man Sick build! I was hoping you could give me a little info on your battery location. What did you use to mount the battery? have you had any issues with the smaller battery?
Life WITH Louie no prob man I can do a video sometime but just for the rundown it’s a xspower D680 small dry cell mounted with a Hasport/hush performance battery box made for the dc/eg chassis. I removed the windshield washer reservoir which is where the box is mounted. The only issue is if the car hasn’t been driven for a week or 2 the battery dies which I read it’s recommended to have a battery maintainer hooked up to it. Hope that helped brother.
Hey what kind of intercooler do you have? Or cheapest one to order? Do they have a certain name, the ones with the inlet and outlet on same side? Thanks
Lee Williams I am running a Full Race intercooler and crash bar with a KMOD piping kit. I had to do a little bit of mix n matching with couplers since my intercooler wasn’t made for the piping kit. If u check KMOD website they use a Treadstone vertical flow style intercoolers which I think is cheaper. What style turbo manifold are you planning to use?
@@kadeemwillock6335 if I don't buy the flange and fab up my own I'm gona go with a Kmod sidewinder manifold. And I'll just mix and match the rest of the parts, doing my own fab work wherever needed. I plan on trying to a budget build with my Fg2, gona find out what works best. Doesn't seem to be a lot of info out there, in terms of true budget builds for these specific car. I know I'll need to get a new (maybe/hopefully used) intercooler, waste gate, BOV, and maybe a turbo. I should be able to fab up whatever piping/tubing needed. The turbo manifolds sure aren't cheap.
Lee Williams I had a video idea on that topic but I figured it wouldn’t be something people be interested in but now u say so I think I will share my experience but, with this chassis there is still fabrication needed unfortunately. Goodluck man just be patient with it
Yaohan Jimenez I checked the site an I think the downpipe and dumptube is based off the RSX/EP3, the manifolds are the same. Maybe something I can do a video on but the downpipe works but the location of the bungs are close to the subframe which I assume it clears the RSX/EP3 subframe. I bought my kit new/used-ish because the seller fa5 got wrecked before he could use it. Hope that helped brother
R wells respect, will look into that. I would be surprised the flywheel bolts backed off when I applied loctite, if so I may consider upgrading to the ARP set

@@kadeemwillock6335 for sure, appreciate the feedback man! Ill be posting my build as it goes once it starts
what downpipe did you use ?
Yaohan Jimenez Kmod downpipe an I added a few things to it.
@@kadeemwillock6335 was it based off the rsx ? or was it custom

take it down check the flywheel bolts gearbox ect. check for crank walk. Once its not the gearbox or engine keep at it.
