If you're reading this, I love you.
Finally a guy who decided to do something about the rivet look, I freakin hate that rivet look! This is how body kits should be and look. GREAT JOB MAN!
theres a good reason why its riveted... this type of molding will never hold good for more than half year and in the end it will crack the paint so youve now wasted money on painting the car and molding the kit for nothing
Rivets look terrible
Why
@@EbilEnemyofBurgerTown Rivets don't look terrible on some cars and it depends what kind of rivets you use. Look at an authentic Ridox Supra and the rivets blend it perfectly well with the car.
@@X50505
I hate the look of wide body rivets. Looks cheap to be honest.
I'm usually not into the wide body because of the hole, but that molded look is CLEAN!
same!!!! now i like the wide body kit!
I just hate the look of the rivets all over the car it kills the curves
Will somebody give this dude a shop and sponsors!! This is amazing!
rudyf2387 hahaha ayyyy thank you man !
He didn't etch prime all that bare metal. It's going to rust.
Kenneth Lin that’s what happened to mine. The dude who did it probably didn’t do what you said
@@StockGur00 I hate when RUclipsrs with little to no experience say "this is how you should do it" then cut corners. Sure, it looks good now, but skipping steps like etching primer is so elementary. It's not even expensive, plus you really don't need a lot of it. Q
Kenneth Lin Im trying to figure out how to fix it. It pretty much has little cracks in all four corners of the car. And I can see the rust under..
Looks awesome! For future reference or for anyone else who wants to do this, applying the bondo or body filler going left to right versus up and down will make your life a lot easier. A lot less sanding and easier to apply in a couple broad strokes!
Didn’t he purposely go up and down because of the gap between the fender and the body?
100% correct its just like doing drywall
@@stgmaofficial yes, thats the way to go when filling holes but to get an even spread go horizontally after all holes have been filled
@@N0_UNITY thank you!
Jsut trying to give some advice for other people that are trying to do this at home or even for you the next time you are doing this. You did a great job at getting all of the right materials and everything just next I would suggest not wiping down your fiberglass fenders with a solvent or cleaning product. They can end up getting trapped in the fiberglass and causing problems later. Tip number 2 fiberglass fillers main propose if to prevent water from getting in behind your panels where you sand down to bare metal and causing rust, as well as adding slight strength for your body filler, you should not have to put 3 coats of fiberglass material on. Tip number 3 remove more of the paint where your working any body filler if not desided (except for polyerster filler, that can get applied over primer) to be applied over any paint. Tip number 4 the idea ratio for harder is 2% of what ever amount of body filler your using Just wanted to give some helpful information. Looks great!
i do glass work all day, you always solvent wipe before layup
I subbed out of respect for the fact you've never done this before. It turned out awesomely. I've never done work of this level before myself, but always DIY everything, just figure it out and do it. I was looking for tutorials/vids about molding widebody kits to look seemless with no rivets. This was exactly what I needed! Thanks!
WOW. This is a sick job, cant imagine how many hours of sanding this took. Love how it turned out, looks so much cleaner than all these riveted body kits around. Mad respect, insta subbed! 💯
Bro, thank you so much for doing this. I’ve been hesitant on doing it myself but watching this gave me a lot of confidence to widebody my GC. Thank you so much!!!! Subscribed

bro I have to say it came out dope boy fresh
Much respect bro. Keep at it 🤙
This is a very clean job, I'm definitely doing it to my mustang
Amazing work dude! How strong would you say this method is? I noticed you stances pretty hard. Would the kit break before the bond?
I appreciate it bro! This was my first time doing bodywork so im not sure how strong these methods are but I did make sure I dont rub on my fenders with my stance to possibly break the mold haha. Over the past months till present day I've ran different wheel setups and so far the only part that has cracked was the front bumper pieces that mold onto the plastic bumper and the front fender mold but that was because I hit a HUGE dip and pushed my bumper up. But as for the rears after rubbing alot I have had not breaking of the mold.
Thanks for the response Chris! Really appreciate the info and the video you put out! It’s very well made and very informative! If I use this method I’ll be sure to let my viewers know who I learned from! 🙏🏻
The car looks amazing btw!
Christian Ngo I appreciate you! Crazy how you stumbled upon my video. I’ve been watching you for so long. Keep up the great content brotha.
Think this video just gave me the confidence to make custom molded fenders for my wrx. I love flared fenders but not fender flares, want that seemless extreme stretched fender look.
thank you for sharing, great tutorial
Dude! Awesome job 👏
Waiting for a vid like this. Dope!!!
Awesome job, this look hella better ...👍👍👍👍
Props on doing it yourself. Looks really good!
Marc Visuals thank you!!

Finally someone that knows how to install a widebody kit the proper way

Just stumbled upon this video. Good stuff man!
thank you!
Learned something... good one...❤️🔥
Great job dude 👍 looks pro
awesome job man
Amazing job
Thee car cracks me up haha great video brother!
When applying fiberglass you can make things easier by giving a long swipe to clean it a bit. 2 seconds vs 20 minutes lol looks good and good spread on the screws.
Impressive, I'm about to make a widebody kit from scratch as no one makes for car. After that I'll be molding using this process. Thanks for detailed video. Very well made!
WON of A kind Awesome glad it helped! I’ve always wanted to make my own flares because it seems so cool. Goodluck man!
Thanks Man I'll be making videos along the way. How about a shout out to your subs. Of my channel I'll be giving you one how I got process to do this part?
Im trying to widebody my Eclipse but not sure how to mold it on, thanks for the video very helpful
Awesome video man,,, 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I am trying to do this to my lexus sc400 rear over fenders. My problem is that the wide overfenders are polyurethane,,, so my question is that will this same technique work for polyurethane to metal? Or it only works with fiberglass to metal?
So, I recently watched 3m's video on using their panel bond. They say to spread the bond on all of the exposed metal on the body because it will act as a coating to prevent rust. I feel as though a lot of people doing their own kits miss this.
damn this is wild lol. and nice emitz ! one of my all time FAVORITE wheels.
im Schwaggy thank you sm and i love emitz!!!
Impressive man 🤘🏽
Looks REALLY good 😁👌
thank you!
Great Job brotha!
Keep up with Ninjas thank you much appreciated !!
That turned out really good man! I'm planning on adding some fender glares on my accord, and making it flush like this. My only concern is this. When you drill all those holes, are you not concerned they will rust over time? I'm in canada, so I would be pretty worried about that. I guess when you take them out, just put a dab of paint in the holes?
Your car almost looks as good as you 😍
Good stuff🤯
Nice work
Nice job......,you need a angle grinder to speed up paint and metal removal also rough block sanding is a lot faster than that finish sander you have or use the angle grinder
It come out to be the best looking type of widebody application but is there any way to not drill in to your car at all? Keep up with the good quality videos and thanks in advance for your answers !!
Excellent job only thing I wasn’t feeling is on certain cars the wheels never sit right with the arches it’s usually the back wheels but sometimes both other than that great finish on the body work
Hmm interesting, I’m currently doing this to my car although I left the screws and rivets I used and didn’t sand so much of the flare to make it flat like you did. I gives it a lil more hip In my opinions
Great job, did you spray the finish red with spray cans??
Pride, nice work molding that shit.
If I were to use screws I'd use something spiked or obnoxious if I didn't mold it. I'm contemplating trying to adapt this amazon kit to my rsx. This was motivash
That was very impressive
Great quality work. And without all the extra BS talking many channels have. Just subbed 🙂
SDgunfighter I appreciate you!
Sick work
None yo Business thank you!
Woah! I didn't even know this was a thing! And this being a great tutorial is just a cherry on top. I just have 1 question though. Is it ok if I leave the rivets on the body kit so It's more secure?
FirstName LastName Great question. I’ve seen it done before but i think you will have to use more bondo to cover everything up and you also won’t be able to sand down the kit flush because there will be a rivet there. If you want to keep rivets on, i suggest not sanding down the kit as much as i did in the video and just throw bondo on top of it.
Best video on this process after spending 3 days searching
Damn nice work
Sick ass video man. Gonna try this with my duckbill spoiler
For someone who claims never to have done this he did a really good job brah, PROPS
