    PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING
    I will be trying to add a few things to my descriptions in the next few weeks. This is a small channel, I am having a great time with it though. The people that are tuning into this channel are awesome there is so much interaction in almost every video and I really appreciate it from the likes and views and especially all the comments and feedback. This woodworking and building/DIY'ers that i have found myself in is awesome. I have less than 50 subs and the interaction of the folks tuning in is awesome. I want to try and grow this channel and community that we are establishing here. I appreciate all of it and I will continue to try and put out good content and respond to anyone who comments or asks a question. In the coming videos you will begin seeing links in my descriptions for things like Etsy, PayPal, Amazon, Facebook and possibly some other social media platforms. I do not want to ruin (IMO) my channel by posting 5 minutes of Hey like, subscribe, share do this do that, no i want to tell you what I'm making or doing and start doing I want you to see things being made. If you choose to utilize a link awesome if not awesome still enjoy the videos. I fund it all by working right now and that's fine i would eventually like to sell the things I make to upgrade tools and materials. LOL I love using resin but that's an expensive hobby. I hope everyone that reads this understands what my goal is and that is to just keep building and videoing every step of the way. Thank you all I appreciate each and every one of you.

    I just got my Wen 3922 about a month or so ago and I like it. I am glad you put the disclaimer about changing to a more correct blade for the type and thickness of the wood. Glad you gave it a fair shake at the end with the freehand cut.

      Thanks for watching. Overall i am very happy with it.. I overestimated it capabilities in the beginning now i know its limits and its a great saw especially at the price. I do need to get a full size band saw now.

      almost all of the ones under $200 are they same saw with different paint and stickers. $100 for the WEN and I have no complaints so far. Well worth the money.

    My dewalt kicks A**. It was more money, but does everything and u can do more detail with it. And the quick blade changes is a big plus too. Also way less vibration to deal with, and the motor power will cut thru anything u put in front of it.

      Every Dewalt tool i own kicks A** lol. I went with the WEN only because of price and frequency of use. Im only a hobby woodworker I would like to make income from my hobby but haven't so i can't justify the huge price difference. If my hobby becomes more of a source of income i will definitely upgrade some of my lesser quality tools. Thanks for watching and give some input on the topic.

    By any chance did you upgrade the blade bit for this? I have a Wen drill press and bandsaw, but I decided to get the wen scroll saw for making the f-holes in my guitars. I got a higher end blade for the bandsaw, a different chuck for the drill press, also got belt upgrades for them and I got a big bump in performance. Hoping this will be the case for this scroll saw.

      no i didnt uppgrade anything on it, i started buying Skil brand blades at Lowes and i have gotten longer life out of them. Cutting the F hole should be no problem i made a rookie mistake trying to cut 1" cherry and its not that kind of saw just would take too long.

    Thanks for the review! I’m looking for my first scroll saw. I like that it h-s the drips for painless blades. Do you find it easy to change them? Thanks!

    • @soakcreekcreationz86
      @soakcreekcreationz86  2 года назад +1

      Ive not had any issues with blade changes. I usually use and allen wrench and the wing nuts to get it nice and tight. The broken blade issue was just a quality issue I bought cheap blades. Ive switched to the skillsaw brand at Lowes and they hold up a lot better. For $105 this saw is perfect for what i use it for. Glad the video helped you out thanks for watching.

    I have this saw. Just got it for Christmas from my husband. And yeah you definitely need a different blade. Try a #5 or #7 (w/10tpi) with a reverse tooth. It will go much faster and will give u a much more smooth cut. Now I'm not on 100% sure, but the blower is more to cool the blade. It does blow the dust away too, but don't think that's its main purpose. Also, I replaced the center plate with a wooden plate I made using the org as a template to get rid of the vibration. Hope any of this helps.

    Have you played with pinless blades yet? I am struggling getting them to stay in. 3 weeks in and dying to upgrade because I can't do fretwork

      maybe try tightening the bolt with an allen wrench instead of the finger style wing nut that's on it. The wrench may give you that extra little turn to hold it in.

    Thanks for the video my friend. I sent one to my father in Puerto Rico and he thinks he is missing the blade locking mechanism on the bottom side. Is the locking blade butterfly system on the top is the same as the one on the bottom?

    Wood you used is maybe too thick for a first attempt at scrolling ..Try thinner wood and different blades ..Plenty of videos showing what type of blade suits different thickness wood ..Once you get used to it and realise what shapes you can do then you'll not look back .

    • @soakcreekcreationz86
      @soakcreekcreationz86  3 года назад

      Agreed. I actually did a little research after the unboxing i definitely was a little too aggressive with it. Ive done some smaller wood with proper blade choice and it works well. Im very happy with the saw it was well worth the money. Thanks for watching and giving feedback i really appreciate it.

    Not really the right tool for your original purpose (bandsaw might be a better option), but I'm sure you could come up with some cool/fun projects to do with it, that it's better suited for. And if you can get it mounted down to a heavier, solid table, you'll get less vibration.

    • @soakcreekcreationz86
      @soakcreekcreationz86  3 года назад

      Agreed i definitely needed a bigger saw for these cuts. I feel like these saws are best suited for 3/16 or smaller IMO. 1" material is too much. I have plans to make a wall mounted table in my shop i just need to decide where it will be as it will be welded in and basically its permanent location. I use a sea van as much shop so my space is somewhat limited i have to better utilize my space in there its a mess as is. Thanks for watching and i appreciate the feedback.
