Stems will never be perfect. It's New Technology. We never imagined this would ever be possible. People need to CHILL and learn to work with it. PEACE.
This is old tech. You're just becoming aware of it. Akai just wanted to jump the gun before manufacturing gear that could handle this type of processing in a "standalone" environment. MPC's have CPUs in them. They are not truly analog/standalone.
Well it’s already been touched on that these mpc’s don’t have any of the mojo of the classic machines. Ease of use and speed now trumps sound quality. I have the X SE and honestly just the feel of it is closer to the renaissance than say a mpc 3000. Wish they still had that feel and sound but just fix it in the mix. 🤷🏾
Hello, I have AKAI Force and I recently purchased MPC STEMS AND SOFT CLIPPER and I have a problem with installing it one by one. I will be grateful for any advice. Regards 🤗
Bro.....That SE should sound far superior than the Live/One, for that price point you committed to, sorry to say "Stop running down HYPE "btw Akai iMPC should have STEMS for the iMPC App,because it would be able to do the same or better in your comparison Test. IMPC should be integrated with 2.0 in this Era,a full ecosystem. WHAT'S THE PURPOSE FOR AKAI TO BUILD THE 2 APPS?????AKAI NEEDS TO COME OUT OF SLEEP..FAMILY!!!!!WHAT'S YOUR TAKE ON THIS & THE COMMUNITY???????
in all fairness the MPC Processing power is out dated and can't compete with a modern processor that has 8GB of ram or more. So of course since it's an algorithm it's not gonna sound as good with these dated internals. It won't be able to compete until we start seeing newer mpc units with faster speeds. Which is why controller mode won't have these issues!!!!
i can live with making stems on the mac. I would rather love to see the BLEASS Arpeggiator to the MPC or something as good. And more Midi Mangling tools which let you make variations of midi files. What also would be nice is the groove extractor from ableton. So i could throw in audio of some famous drummer for example, they get analyzed and i can then use that groove for my beats. Oh: and i would LOVE to see the STOLPERBEATS J DILLA Eurorack Module ported to the MPC !
Does great with some samples. Does not do well with others. The source material can make a difference. They will more than likely improve it over time. I find it useful for dirty hip hop tracks when sounding like an old Akai rack sampler is desirable.
I’ve watched a handful of video reviews so far on this piece of software. The synopsis is generally about the same across the board. I can’t say that I had high expectations for AKAI STEMS (standalone). So, I’m not surprised most aren’t impressed with it. *sigh* Logic for iPad definitely sounds noticeably better. Thanks for the vid, Sir Elbow! 🫡💯
what type of files are yall using in the stem separation mp3 or wave? im assuming that makes a difference in the quality of the results regardless of which type of stem separator is being used.
Akai needs to stop. I understand it's about business, but in 2024 processing power, and ram should not be an issue. Constantly introducing machines with a slight bump up and processing power. Also Ram. Smdh. I don't care about new machines. I would much rather have a stronger system. We would pay for it in the 1990s we paid $4000 for a MPC 4000. I'm not saying they should charge that much. All I'm saying is that they can't use the price as an excuse. The new stems feature sounds horrible on the standalone because of the processing power come on now.
@@BeatsByGemsmiffnaw they just hustled us and took our money….they know MPC is known for standalone since the beginning… that’s MPC core… they knew putting it first on the software nobody would want that…obviously… just like the Mpc touch….they can give you the good quality but let’s take their money first before we give them what they want..
Oh dear!,,,i'm not impressed whatsoever, the sound quality is beyond POOR in all honesty!!,,and I certainly don't think i will be using the stem separation feature anytime soon, especially in standalone mode. Disappointed is an understatement!👎👎👎👎
😂 My man you can’t just do Akai like that! Yeah that sounded horrific but you gotta use some better sources in addition to the one that you used. Like 2 more samples but with drums.🫣

Funny all say they rushed it but were mad that it wasn’t released at the same time cant keep people happy
To be fair...the sample sounds pretty lofi from the start
The technology can only get better over time it will get better
It was a hustle
Add compression to the MPC (Air ) and voila 🎉🎉. The MPC sound is banging
That's a fkn ripoff if you've bought it only on the reputation akai had for its hardware.. I don't use compression on my akai 2k drums..VOILA

Do he have the software installed on the iPad?

Akai did us dirty. There, i said it
💯
Logic stem splitter is hitting this MPC thing they put out I’m like 🤦🏾…

How does the algorithm works? It the algorithm using fourier transformation?
I got very similar results.

On the Ipad is much more clean that’s for sure
What are you using for stem separation on the iPad? Mine is always hooked up to my MPC.

iPad New Technology Compared to the MPC. Old Tech has less processing power and Architecture..
Compared to serato sampler, the quality is so so, doable for some parts but serato is a notch up.
Serato is PC base so of course it would
I like the lofi sound of the MPC. But that's just me...
I'm feeling the same way, it does not sound as good as the software-based products
We waited this long for that sh!t! Smh. I guess 🤷🏿♂️
😂😂
LOL!!!
What is the name of the iPad app?
Logic Pro
@@marcuselbow Thanks. I’ve never used it. Sounds like Apple knows what they’re doing.
Mpc stems flopped
What is the ipad app✅ I know koala sampler has free stems ( extra download in edit tools mode) sounds similar
Logic Pro
Thanks I was wondering the same thing. I didn’t realize they put Logic Pro on the iPad.
I actually like it. But I like artifacts.
I have the X SE as well and Bro Im not impressed as well. The Software version is WAY BETTER. I'm disappointed honestly. Hope it gets better.
Highly doubted version 1 of this would be any good, not a must have for me I’ll wait for version 3 or 4.

It's trash the algorithm sucks
Bro it was like 10 $
Bit of a weird sample to begin with, sounds like a phaser over the vocals for example
It's a no for me G the iPad sounded much better
MPC standalone stems sounds booty
Yup they rushed this one 🤦🏾♂️
No you guys rushed them…Akai cudnt breathe without ppl screaming about stems on standalone being dead…😂😂
For Stems to sound good on standalone, you’d have to wait as long as it took back in the day ReSampling on the 2000XL ⏳

See guys that aren't new to production definitely run everything through test to find the best quality 😂
Not even worth using MPC stems
sounds bad and not available on force :/ just use moises sounds veery much better.
ever dude that does videos' about the mpc has to make a video about the new stems.akai already did it so why.
You only watch videos from the manufacturer before buying stuff?
Why even watch product review videos on RUclips if you’re uninterested?

Never mind. I tried for myself. It is as you said. 😂
