Hello Kevin, was absolute joy to watch 😀 after recently successfully doing water pump and cambelt change youve made me feel confident enough to do this for the future 👍one question pleasr what model milwaukee right angle wrench you have please ?

Hi kev..good video..i have a 308 hdi and it had a solid flywheel conversion about 100k ago..am i right in saying that the clutches that come with these kits are the same as a clutch kit on its own?
One could think it’s a good idea but no. To remove the gearbox we have to jiggle it up and down and the same in reverse. There’s not too much place behind the gearbox at the differential level and the length of the stud will need to move back the gearbox too much Anyway, seeing the length of the stud you speak about, the primary shaft will be in the clutch before you get the box centered on the stud When you assemble the gearbox on the clutch you need to turn it some degrees CW and CCW in order to align the teeth on both side and the stud will not allow this Sorry for my English, hi from France, Burgundy
Using this video to change clutch on mine just one question my ball jpint is not coming off ive hammered it with a massive hammer, sprayed with wd40, even tried using a jack to lever it up and nothings budging it, any other tips? Other than that ive watched this video in its entirety about 5 times ro hype myself up 😂😂 awesome video
I see you are using the extended reach ratchet m12 high torque from Milwaukee. would you rather use the slower but higher torque one or the faster but lower torque one they released one year ago?
I have both… the torque depends wether it’s a 1/4 or 3/8. For me personally the 3/8 does the job nicely. But honestly the speed that the 1/4 has is pretty impressive..
After replacing clutch kit, gearbox started to be stiff. It's hard to get 1st and 2nd gear. Very stiff and metalic feeling movements. What can cause that? Clutch slave cylinder?
@@WMCS been told (by mechanic who replaced clutch) that there is no Dualmass flywheel. 2012 1.6 HDi. 68kW (92BHP) . Is that possible? Reg : AF 62 RSO if that will help You to verify my mechanic knowledge
Peugeot 308, 2011. year 1.6 ehdi, 82kv, manual gearbox with 6 speeds and floating flywheel. It occasionally wobbled when it was put into first gear and reverse. First, the transmission oil was changed, when it was drained, it was the color of white coffee. After changing the oil, the same situation. Then replaced the clutch set that was due for replacement due to a worn plate, put on Luke, no improvement. After that, the master cylinder in the Valeo cabin was also replaced, the situation changes there and when the car is first started, the clutch pedal is hard, after that it is better, but it doesn't seem to disengage properly. A new set of clutches was put on again, same as Luk, but this time the flywheel was also replaced, the gearbox was rechecked, which is fine, the pedal is now normal. Still the same problem with the fact that now sometimes the other speed also starts. How to solve the problem?
Did this same job about 8 weeks ago in my identical Citroen C4 twin. Could have saved about 2 days if I had waited. No way I could lift the heavy diesel gearbox on my back.
You cut the famous bolt from the fap? when i have to do one of these i just cut it and never put it again, if some mechanics change it the clutch again he will thanks me a lot, what a french engineering and they dont change it in the new dv5 1.5 what a shame, cheers from Spain mate

You have to hammer shock it from the front angle. Not the side. Otherwise the won’t release.
