@@elvisrealking 'no style' meant he really didn't know any style, and then preached a combination of styles. Which he didn't know. And mixing styles has actually been done for thousands of years before him, and in his time by others. He just hilariously didn't know that, nor about the mixed martial artists of his day, and the styles that were being practiced in his day and before that that are literally mixed martial arts. You thinking a noob saying nonsense things is genius only proves you're a noob that believes in nonsense. Lee's only credit is that he popularised martial arts to the masses a little faster than it was already happening. That being said he was very far from the best promotor of it because of what I just told you. If he had been interested in really becoming a great martial artist instead of a narcissist, he would have gone through the motions of actually attaining a decent level in at least 1 full contact martial art. Instead he just stuck to some basic techniques and no experience and claimed he was a great fighter just because he made martial arts movies (with unrealistic choreography). Mike Tyson didn't know Bruce Lee, and it's insane to even compare the two on any level. MikeTyson is arguably one of the greatest heavyweight fighters ever. Beating your opponent when you're blindfolded shows how great Bruce Lee was!!!. A normal martial arts expert won't be able to do much after being blindfolded.
It was basically chorography dude was a student of Lee he's a martial artist sure as well as an actor. Hell there's been blind wrestlers that placed in state at HS level because there has to be constant contact.
chi sao - especially as taught by Bruce - relies on sensitivity in the arms - a fighter doesn't want to rely on his eyes which will slow him down - so students will often close their eyes when practicing chi sao - in order to tune into the sensations

This video is misrepresenting what happened in this video. They were merely demonstrating a kung fu trapping exercise, yes with a blindfold, but it was not a challenge or even a fight. Bruce Lee wouldn't have been able to stop people beating him up wearing a blindfold if they really wanted to, this was a demo exercise of a specific wrist-contact technique from Wing Chun. You aren't hitting each other and you're always touching, so you can feel the opponent's movements. My old Ju Jitsu club used to occasionally do some blindfolded demos where nobody was actually just randomly hitting you but grabbing and things like that. We weren't superhuman or even black belts. Bruce Lee was not "superhuman", he was just a really good and creative martial artist who people saw as untouchable because he was the star of heroic kung fu movies. Social media is an endless steaming pile of utter bull and you're all just believing whatever people tell you. It's deeply concerning.
People can get away with talking shit about Bruce now (Once upon a Time...) because he's dead. Taky Kimura said if he was blind. Ok how about if Bruce is dead ?
FALSE STORY. Taky wasn't a karate grandmaster. He was already close friends with Bruce, and had been training gung fu with him since 1959 shortly after Bruce came to Seattle. He was actually the first person who Bruce ever taught in America. They began training in parking garages or open parks, until Bruce could find a basement space then eventually open his own school. Bruce brought Taky along with him to the '67 event to demonstrate his Jun Fan Gung Fu
The blindfolded sparring is directly from Wing Tsun. Get it right. He was never taught the final (3rd) form of Wing Tsun and turned what he knew into JKD. Some call it Wing Chun and it is the king of inside boxing.
Hang on, I love Bruce Lee and think he is amazing (the best), but Chi Sao (even blindfolded) doesn't prove you are the best fighter. I've trained with teenagers who are good at Chi Sao blindfolded; they aren't the best martial artists. All videos like this do is invite Wing Chun haters to pull it through the dirt. As an addendum, and I've seen others comments, perhaps you have the marital artists mixed up and you think Taky Kimura is Masahiko Kimura, not a karateka, but a renowned judoka and wrestler, and for whom the reverse ude-garami arm lock is named.
Who in the world puts on a blindfold and proceeds 2 take on any enemy or opponent in a fight , let alone a karate champion and defeats him? Answer: BRUCE LEE does that!

@siddified 🙂 I very much understand martial arts, and I very much understand the Tao, and I also very much understand the root origin of she shortened 'be water my friend'. As I also understand what Bruce was trying to give to people that 'couldn't see' with the statment... there are no new things, just re imagined perspectives and glimpses of the Dao.
The real Master😊
He wasn't a master of anything.
Kimura was no master, or was kata master...
Bruce Lee was a great MARTIAL art artist, May be the greatest, but not a excepțional fighter..
HE can beat me or average gays but never a train fighter, boxer, wrestler...
🙏😪R.I.P SIFU, No one was capable of beating you.." you need not see to fight..only feel"..🕊🐉
He was a machine. Legendary.
The old Legends believe that Bruce Lee is having extra ordinary skills in martial arts 👌👍🙏
What???
Bruce Lee's skills, ideas and philosophy remind me alot of miyamoto musashi
Don't compare him with an actual fighter, especially a master swordsman like Musashi who fought dozens of bouts to the death with skilled samurai and won all of them.
@@HardHardMaster just saying he reminded me of him. Don't get too salty over it.
This story is bullshit. Taky was not a Karate grandmaster, he had a Judo brown belt when he met Bruce. He was Bruce's student at the time of this demo.
I really taught him well... (whispering) 😊
Taky was friend snd student of Bruce
This is such a great & tremendous honor to both Bruce & Kimura….the nice things that he said about Bruce is amazing. And then Bruce actually tries it blind, that’s hilarious man.
This is still two Schools working together in our Eternal Universal Defense too, always, not contention nor competitiveness between Schools.
Bruce’s technique here shows that he is totally familiar with the human body, even if he is blind..he can see his opponent’s body in his mind, & sense his position even with no visual sight.
This is training for combat with a human, but Master Bruce is also likewise trained well for all types of life forms too, able to sense their position & see them in his mind, enough to successfully defend, always.
Many Schools if not all Schools of martial arts train for the potential of having to enter combat blind, & with various types of sensory & other physical challenges to face..& overcome, always.
Lots of love & respect shown here, good job!❤️🌈📀🔒🔐
Kimura was his student. Not a karate master. Not even a karate practitioner, ever.
A legend grandmaster that can not be forgotten.
Not a grandmaster, not a master, not even an intermediate student of any style.
@@HardHardMaster Bruce was the first student of no style , it was his particularity . Mike Tyson said : " Bruce Lee is a killer ... " , that just should be enough that should be enough to give Bruce credit ; so much more than you give him credit for . ruclips.net/video/gqITbElGbwQ/видео.html
Lee was a moviemaker and a 5'5, 135 pound backyard martial artist. All this does is expose your delusion and complete ignorance.
@@elvisrealking lame excuse for taking false credit.

The truth cannot be lit by a lantern. No proof can convince those who are anchored in their paradigm: it would be like wanting to demonstrate the existence of God to an atheist.
Regardless, Bruce Lee's performances supposed or real , they are not that important compared to the primordial things - even if everything is subjective -
Heve a good day !
Taky looks to be 10-15 years older than Bruce
The camera qualitt looks like from the early 2000s
Taky was his student in 1961.
He was training with Bruce in Seattle parking garages even in 1959. Him and Jesse Glover were the first students he ever taught martial arts to
Sijo Bruce Lee was and forever will be the best of all time 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️

So hillarious… and he STILL couldn’t beat him!
Look at his movements, so strong and fluendly done. Like a rock and water at the same time.
Bruce Lee was clairvoyant not a normal human being
Bound by the egocentric enemy of our souls.
Sorry guys..Bruce may have been THE BEST..However..the saying has always been..The good die young..and the GREAT die even younger.
BLINDFOLDED?
Bruce: Challenge Accepted. 💥💫🤕
The man, I love Jeet Kune Do
I'm a Bruce Lee fan but can we please stop pretending the guy could actually fight? Nothing they did right there other than the trip was useful in an actual fight.
whoever wrote the narration doesn't know anything about wing chun or bruce's styles - bruce and his student taky kimura are practicing chi sao - with bruce in a blindfold - to show he can sense the relative positions of their arms - and then either strike or divert a strike - all without seeing
This is the skill set you develop when you dedicate yourself to the philosophy, mindset, and dedication into the skills. Great respect to Bruce Lee. RIP❤🙏
Sijo Saabir Muhammad (Steven Saunders) co-founder of the BKF (Black Karate Federation) had fastest hands 👐 said BRUCE LEE! Arguably faster feet too.
How would Bruce Lee do against Ron Duncan?
Could Bruce Lee beat Dr. MOSES Powell aka Master Musa Muhammad founder of Sanuces Ryu Jujutsu or his Sensai Florendo M. Visitacion aka Professor Vee founder of Vee Jitsu, Vee Jitsu Te, & Visitacion Kuntao. OR their students: Soke Li’l John Davis founder of Kumite Ryu Jiu Jitsu, which is the third component of V.S.K. Ryu Jiu Jitsu. He is a Grandmaster in Sanuces. responsible for teaching grooming great martial artists such as Grandmaster Abdul-Azziz Muhammad, Grandmaster Malik Shabazz and Sensei Stephanie Grier...?!
Amazing skill. He was truly a genius in his field 👊
Not at all unless you mean selfpromotion.
@@HardHardMaster no I mean martial arts
@@som1980he was just an enthusiast. Didn't have any high level training in anything and had tons of misconceptions. Didn't understand real life fight dynamics. Confused point score tournaments with actual combat. Thought fencing position and lunges and strong side front was a good basics. Thought Chi Sao was realistic fighting. Thought 2ft was equal to 1inch. Thought missing someone by a foot counted as a hit. Thought sucker eyepokes were an actual technique. Thought he could mix styles in which he has zero training or insight. Had sloppy punch technique and no actual defence. Thought 2 finger push ups were somehow evidence of fighting prowess. Thought he could easily beat Mohammad Ali. Thought that the person who knew more techniques would always be the better fighter, and then kept contradicting himself on that from time to time, still getting it wrong somehow. Had lots of meaningless quotes about fighting (''be water'' '' fear only the man who practiced 1 kick 1000 times'' etc) I could go on for hours. He was not a martial arts genius in any way. He was an enthusiast, a cocky narcissist, had basic knowledge and a few fast kicks. He was a tiny man who cheated on his wife and carried a handgun at all times. But he milked his self-created image like a pro and was a genius at marketing and selfpromotion.
@@HardHardMaster actually he had a lot of high level training and his concepts were way ahead of his time. Also his family loved him then and still do to this day. He was a great guy… and a genius
Maybe his family loves him, but he did cheat and all the rest of what you said is bs.
Rest in Peace, Master Lee and Master Kimura-
People can get away with talking shit about Bruce now (Once upon a Time...) because he's dead.
This is awesome. Any decent amateur wrestler around 185lbs would have wiped his fartbox with him.
Answer:
BRUCE LEE does that!
Stop the BS. Taky was no karate grandmaster. How do I know? I trained with him. I’m one of the biggest Bruce Lee fans there is but I can’t stand clickbait garbage for or against Bruce if it’s not true.
I dont believe this generation of people realise how unnatural Bruce Lee's ability was. Mythical.
Allah created this incredible human form a different mold. I don't believe there'll be another mole to justify exactly what his limits were . This man had insane speed and mesmerizing agility stamina through the roof. For such a phenomenal man to be amongst us is totally a gift for one's eyes to see. Without question a man ahead of his time. Rest in peace Bruce Lee for you will never be forgotten, NEVER
LONG LIVE THE " GOAT of MARTIAL ARTS 🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾 BRUCE LEE 👍🏾🌹👊🏾!!!
Karate of Japan Infront of Bruce Lee is just a child's play 😂😂, karate such a joke🎉
He did not use any karate, they were doing normal wing chun movements that any intermedium student can easily do blindfolded. So not that impressive.
All I see is Kato kicking the villians ass and The Green Hornet hanging back then taking the credit. Just like every other freakin' episode!
All these guys could never beat Bruce Lee because he was gifted, number 1, his training was intensive number 2 and wing chun was about knowing how to use it professionally number 3, plus practice of other martial arts through reading there principles number 4 ,he would continued to grow by his principles accept what is useful to you as an individual and reject what is not, he was a true master, a real master ,but l still don't think he could beat yip man, yip man was just to good from the books l have read about him from his son, yip chun, l hope this message will serve as an inspiration to others who want to follow this path of improving and growing in the martial arts, good luck
Why is Taky Kimura doing Wing Tsun's sticky hands if he's a "Karate Grand Master"? That's like a chess grandmaster playing dominoes.
Holy cr...! I didn't even realise Lee was blindfolded until speak told it......
Everything looks flawless on a willing opponent 😂
it was flawless - people who have learned chi sao can see what's going on - and there's give & take - but bruce is superior - he had been taky's instructor for some 8 years by the time of this demonstration - but taky had never reached bruce's level
That was mostly Bullshido. It wasn't until MMA came along that we realized how useless most of these martial arts are.
Yeah, Bruce Lee is impressive. But can you imagine a grandmaster saying, "you know what, I want to become a student again"?
