  • How to Remove Vacuum Pump and Check Valve | Mazda RX-8 Vacuum Pump Delete DIY"
    Description:
In this video, I'll show you how to remove the vacuum pump and vacuum check valve from a 2004 Mazda RX-8. This DIY guide is part of my ongoing project to convert my RX-8 into a track car. Since the vacuum pump is only needed for cars with a catalytic converter, removing it is a necessary step after deleting the catalytic converter. Follow along for detailed instructions and tips on how to perform a vacuum pump delete.
    Tools Needed:
    Socket Set
    Wrench Set
    Screwdrivers
    Pliers
    Safety Glasses
    Gloves
    Removal Steps:
Locate the vacuum pump and check valve in the engine bay.
Disconnect the battery to ensure safety.
Use the socket set and wrenches to remove the bolts and clamps securing the vacuum pump.
Carefully disconnect and remove the vacuum pump and check valve.
Ensure all vacuum lines are properly sealed or rerouted as needed.
Note: Always follow safety precautions and consult your vehicle's service manual for specific instructions.
