I was hoping the action was as smooth as the f760 but... they're still very nice. Watching your vid, drinking an adult beverage, and fidgeting with my F7611 GR. Great review LTK.
Just for a lark, soft or hard pencil dont know. But colour in a piece of "paper" with pencil. then cut out a washer, blah blah blah. Would love to know the experiments.
...nice looking blades...washers on a hard user doesn't bother me...bearings seem to collect a lot of trash in dirty environments...washers are just easier to clean and keep dirt out...have a great week...
If the knife gets heavily soiled then bearings aren't always the best choice. It's a hard use knife, cuts well, and feels great in the hand. I'll live with the old school bearings- especially for the price. If you're an office cubicle flicker then perhaps the knife on bearings is the better choice.
Mine has not shipped yet, and now the sale price is even lower. I agree there is some risk in taking the Ganzo knives apart and most really arrive fine. When I do the disassembly, I watch for the thread locker and work very deliberately. Occasionally, Ganzo thread locks the pivots a little too loose, but it takes only a few seconds with a soldering iron to get it to release enough.
I am waiting my new brand F7611 CF, but I am afraid that it doesn´t got bearings. Anyway it seems that it is better the old school pivot for harder uses.
Cheers so much for another great review Mate! Just few fords about bolls on pivot- I believe a lot of knife lovers are full fed whit those "foppery bearings" and would not refuse to get "old school hardcore dog" on washers (due to opinion the boll-bearings are not so good for some type of works) .....
AsGrgy I agree that washers are probably more practical for knives used in dirty environments and are more stable to support the pivot structure. But for the kinds of use that my knives get,I prefer bearings. Like washers, you can also clean and/or replace bearings.
The truly practical knives that are good quality but affordable that we can use scratch without feeling bad. If you are a millionaire you could abuse a Rockstead but you still feel bad because its a very expensive but these Ganzos they are real tools.
I finally got mine from 11.11 sale. And guess what, it runs on 2 white nylon washers. So Ganzo definitely made a cost cutting move to not include bearings on this one. Not even 1 bronze washer. There is mushy side-to-side play which I couldn't figure out adjusting the pivot. Will see if I can replace the washers with bronze ones.
I tell you what i got mine in today, and after i loosened the pivot (it was way to tight) i thought for a moment it was on bearings. Mine drops rather quickly, and has just an extremely small amount of side to side. Its a great knife ergonomic knife in hand though. To me I think it may be one of there best designs. Great review LTK I to wish it was on bearings because the fb760 is just sweet.
Most of the warranties are bull shit .like sabenza if you flick it open the warranties is void .it should be even if you lose it of if its stolen or if you break it in any way forever you get a new one .it only cost them like $50.00 to replace that knife
I got my CF version in the mail. I'm pretty disappointed that there is no bearings to. I'm pretty sure Gearbest listed it as bearings at first, not anymore, and that's one of the reasons I was excited about it.
LuvThemKnives Still in Korea. I won't be home for xmas but I'm coming back in the spring next year for good. I can't wait. By the way thanks for following me in Instagram that's me as watchmen1010. I should start using that more to post some pics of a few knives I've bought over here. 😎
What! How can this be? Though I was silent. At the 06:39 mark of the video. My demeanor changed so much. My dog got up and left the room. He knew I was not happy, just by the look on my face! How long until the 762's come out? : - )
I wouldn't give up on bearings moving forward just yet - the numbering could mean something different than we assume. But bearings do make a _heck of a difference_ with an axis lock. Ganzo gives you the detailing, fit and finish of a much pricier knife. The blue hardware and satin grind rock. Good looking blade with a nice, high grind and sexy swedge. A _lot_ of knife for >$20. The Sanrenmu or Enlan fall short on the details at around the same price. To improve it, you've got to spend _at least_ 30% more. And I _love_ 440C, you can put a scary sharp edge on it in seconds. Nice! BTW, it looks like it's the grind on blade that's off center on your green knife, you might take a closer look. Looks like the clip side is flatter? Could be camera angle...
slidetek I’ll check that green one out closer. If the grind is off.... I’ll have to .... probably do nothing but just use it .. or I could put it in my upcoming giveaway. Lol
lep62 Oh....I agree. And that’s important for people who expose their knives to extremely dirty environments. In those cases,I use a fixed blade. But I see that it’s possible to get your knife covered with dirt.
I ordered mine two weeks ago and it still hasn't been shipped yet.I love gearbest.im so disappointed after the last knife was so good why go backwards.but it did not put me of either.thanks for review anyway, good job as always love you you big stud muffin.wee paddyxxx,♥♥♥🔪👍🍀
you can have someone install them. It will run you round 2 or 3 times the price of the knife itself, but ya, bearings man, can't live without 'em, gotta have that buttery smooth feel on a 15 dolla knife, right?
Ok I'll play devil's advocate here, are we sure the ganzo's are 440c and not 8cr13mov? Master cutlery makes a knife called the "m tech raptor" that has 440c AND 8cr13mov labeled on it (both steels listed together on the same knife, one on each side). I like ganzo and if they're 8cr13mov they'd still be worth it, but they hold an edge like 8cr not 440c, they corrode like 8cr not 440c... just saying it's a possibility that they are 8cr13mov.
Mt. Baldwin And ZT Knives might be D2 steel. Just kidding but just think. 440C doesn’t cost any more than 8Cr. Why would they lie ? Just doesn’t make any sense. I couldn’t tell the corrosion difference between the two. Can you ? They actually disclose their different blade steels on their website .... why not claim everything is 440 ?
They definitely advertised it as FB7611 at first. Look, BestChineseKnives refers to it as FB7611 and says it has ball bearings: www.bestchineseknives.com/2017/11/newest-original-design-ganzo-firebird.html It was a bait and switch, I tell ya!! Power Cutlery has it listed as FB7611. I ordered a FB7611 from Gearbest but now my order says I bought F7611. Dang right the FB760 spoiled us! But it also made us think that Ganzo had taken a step forward.
Yup, found my original order, bought on 11/2. Item is called "GANZO Firebird FB7611 Ball Bearing Axis Lock Folding Knife". It still hasn't shipped yet. I do love the design, and got it for $15 with coupon. Now it's selling for $11 on Gearbest with coupon code.
Brits are acclimated to the Feudal system.. The UK is one giant surveillance slave state.. They are in end stage western civilization.. Pansy Socialism taken to it's evitable conclusion..
Man these look dope.
I was hoping the action was as smooth as the f760 but... they're still very nice. Watching your vid, drinking an adult beverage, and fidgeting with my F7611 GR. Great review LTK.

Have the Green one. love it. took it apart polished all the sliding edges. and moved it to lefty.
LTK- I batoned a redwood forest with my Ganzo and now it has lock rock. I expected more for $15.
Lol
After watching your intro, I have become enlightened. I have unlocked the full potential of my mind.
qdp612 Yes. Job well done !! Lol
...nice looking blades...washers on a hard user doesn't bother me...bearings seem to collect a lot of trash in dirty environments...washers are just easier to clean and keep dirt out...have a great week...
JCB 67 Actually you’re correct but I don’t usually put mine in a dirty environment so I do prefer bearings
...I agree...these just seemed like good all around EDC users....c'ya
JCB 67 I still luv them. Great knives.
I got ganzo bearing knives and this 7611 but washers can easily clean and change rather than bearings.. For sure washers will not be dead!
A few months back we bought a few. Not what we thought. Just another copy of everything else. Check out Artisan .... cutlery.
Rockd Some are copies of other designs but most aren’t. Plus they’re great beaters for $15-20.
Got mine last week and what a great knife. Can't beat it for the price. The new locks feel great too.
Carbon fiber 761 was on Gearbest last week.
If the knife gets heavily soiled then bearings aren't always the best choice. It's a hard use knife, cuts well, and feels great in the hand. I'll live with the old school bearings- especially for the price. If you're an office cubicle flicker then perhaps the knife on bearings is the better choice.
Is there any problem you can see with heat coloring the liners?
Or eplacing the nylon washer with a bronze one?
Junior V Not that I can think of.
@@LuvThemKnives
Thanks.
COOL REVIEW...JUST ORDERED THAT KNIFE A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO....!
Thanks for reminding me to buy a FB 760 with bearings. Thanks for the link to power cutlery

I love good knives I can afford, thank you for the Video. Semper Fi.
I just ordered the carbon fiber version last week. The title on gearbest said it had bearings so I was hoping that was true.
I am waiting my new brand F7611 CF, but I am afraid that it doesn´t got bearings. Anyway it seems that it is better the old school pivot for harder uses.
Ganzo never fails to impress
I got the mtech 151 because i wanted a stainless trail master .
Found one with a kydex sheath .love it !

just purchased the F7611 CAMO I am stoked :-)

Like the Kershaw knockout! I like it

You will have your order on the 3rd day, great service from Power Cutlery and there prices in some case beat the other Chinese competitors.
Where you buying Elite Tactical knife? and what is the model? Looks great!
Nice review LTK. I just bought the black g10 version. It was at a great price this week so I snapped it up. All the best Gary 😎
gary jacobs You back in the UK yet or still out of country ?
LuvThemKnives Still in Korea. I won't be home for xmas but I'm coming back in the spring next year for good. I can't wait. By the way thanks for following me in Instagram that's me as watchmen1010. I should start using that more to post some pics of a few knives I've bought over here. 😎
gary jacobs I thought that might be you. Great
There is a fb version with bearings...
Brent Pero Several models have bearings.
LuvThemKnives Yes but I mean this one, the FB7611. I have it on order but can’t find it at gearbest anymore.
Brent Pero Let me know when it arrives if it really has bearings. I’ll be interested.
If you bend the g lock springs so they are about a 1/4 " from the hole they work so much better .just as good as any benchmade but not stupid priced .
Dale Carpenter Yes. I saw a video on Birdshot IV where they adjusted the spring.
What! How can this be?
Though I was silent. At the 06:39 mark of the video. My demeanor changed so much. My dog got up and left the room. He knew I was not happy, just by the look on my face!

Oh great... now you got me interested in that MTech
HailTheRemoteViewer It’s interesting isn’t it?
That's a nice looking knife

Don't ever backup, but they are still great , got to try 760 series also. Thanks buddy, Harry
Harry Wright I’m going to do an update on the FB760 Knives again. I got the CF version.
Take the spacer out and throw it away .ive done it .it works fine without the pillar cover .
The new MTec's are already on Amazon. I saw the one you had going for 35 bucks.
Matt Szymanski Ok. That’s interesting.
LuvThemKnives If you want to look them up on Amazon look up Master Cuttlary and refine by newest.
Matt Szymanski Okay. It worked. Thanks
May be only one company produced all these knives
Hey Mr ltk.. gearbest has the 7603 for 9.90 now..few pieces left
Looks like they B Busted you lol hahaha you were so into it then no bearings love it got a great laugh with this one thanks for sharing Brother 😁
You should do a bearings vs. washers dirt test. Bearings are fun but I'm thinking they would be much more susceptible to problems out in the field.
lep62 Oh....I agree. And that’s important for people who expose their knives to extremely dirty environments. In those cases,I use a fixed blade. But I see that it’s possible to get your knife covered with dirt.

paddys potato peelers If they had bearings. They’d be the bomb !!!!
paddys potato peelers, you two guys get a room.
Baz on Blades You’re just jealous!!! Lol
Baz, those long-distance relationships never last.
No homo, only 100% straight ganzo-sexual knifebro love ❤️🔪👌🏼
Super disappointed these are not on bearing pivots. I really like this design and was excited. Still like the design, but not as excited now.
you can have someone install them. It will run you round 2 or 3 times the price of the knife itself, but ya, bearings man, can't live without 'em, gotta have that buttery smooth feel on a 15 dolla knife, right?
30 seconds in and I'm already laughing. Great new channel name LTG.
Oh look, it's me in the intro!
Love my firebird ganzos 👍👌✌
Nice shape here. Me likey
Yes, they ARE affordable! And 440C is perfectly acceptable to me. But not that 18Cr crap!
So is the 760 the only G lock Ganzo on bearings?
Patric Gasmen It’s the only one I’m aware of.
LuvThemKnives Too bad. I really like the look of the 761.

I'm waiting for a pair ;]
Great review
its just a beater, than he cut paper. tsss
I don't know why these "blue things"!

you get found with one of them in youre pocket in the uk you are going to jail. very sad i know and they are nice aswell.
lucifer morningstar That’s bullshit. Disarm the law abiding citizens !!
Brits are acclimated to the Feudal system.. The UK is one giant surveillance slave state.. They are in end stage western civilization.. Pansy Socialism taken to it's evitable conclusion..
I keep wanting to buy the 761 but the action is the only thing holding me back.
Matt Szymanski It’s $20. Nothing is perfect at $20. The action is still pretty acceptable.
Pocket clip is way too long!
That sucks there's no ball bearings :( got 3 on order. Was full excited lol
xyclonus still a great Ganzo tho
Man do i hate intros an outros
